Abstract

Partner of this international collaboration of community service is RMIT University in Australia, Prof. Dr. Heather Fehring, to be invited to collaborate in giving socialization about effective literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era to encourage development of elementary school teachers’ competences in the province of Jakarta in Indonesia.  Location of this international collaboration of community service is in the Province of Jakarta in Indonesia.  The target of this community service is elementary school teachers in the Province of Jakarta in Indonesia.  The problem with the target audiences is that the elementary school teachers’ competences in the province of Jakarta in Indonesia to deal with effective literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era has not been optimal.  In addition to this, the socialization of effective literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era for elementary school teachers in the Province of Jakarta in Indonesia has not been done before.  In order to develop elementary school teachers’ competences in the province of Jakarta in Indonesia in dealing with literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era to achieve optimal learning quality, the solution is socialization of effective literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era for them.  The output targets to be achieved in this international collaboration of community service are pocket book, certificates, videos on YouTube, articles in journal of community service, publications in mass media, Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), seminar, report.The methods used in conducting this international collaboration of community service are cooperative learning, problem-based learning, and giving assignments.  This socialization is conducted through video conferences in the form of learning activities to improve the competence in dealing with effective literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era to achieve optimal learning quality for elementary school teachers in the province of Jakarta in Indonesia. The socialization of virtual classroom given is related to technical guidelines of effective literacies assessment implementation in order to achieve optimal learning quality. This international collaboration of community service is conducted at elementary schools in the Province of Jakarta in Indonesia because those elementary schools are regularly coached by Universitas Negeri Jakarta.  Evaluation of process and results is done to find out the competences of elementary school teachers in the province of Jakarta in Indonesia in dealing with effective literacies assessment in the covid-19 pandemic era to achieve optimal learning quality.  This international collaboration of community service is started with a pre-test about effective literacies assessment implementation to know the prior knowledge of target audiences about effective literacies assessment and ended with a post-test after socialization is completed to determine the success of implementing this activity.

Abstract

This research aims to know how the form of communication to overcome constraints vocabulary on the slow learner students in learning, the communication barriers in learning, as well as efforts by the teacher so that the learning was communicative in SMP Budi Waluyo South Jakarta class VIII. This research uses qualitative methods with the technique of data collection in the form of the technique of observation, interview, and documentation. Analysis of the data using the model of Miles and Huberman. The results of this research is verbal communication consists of oral elements with the Bible every day without language, the connotation and scientific, while writing with notes and memos that required schools. Nonverbal using the expression on his face when happy sad, anger, fear, shame, and interested in a matter. Movement of the body as to explain a form of objects, pointed toward the, reveals what difficult students say. While the touch of namely taps the shoulder to make students focus back on the lessons, touching the head and shoulders when it is advised, embrace and appoint if asked the students to be active to the front of the class. In learning found the communication barriers that there are in themselves the students are often dreaming in learning, less confident and less interested in the lessons according to the students difficult. The obstacles that there are from outside of the students such as the election of the appropriate words with the ability of students and the lack of facilities to support the lesson. Teachers attempt to create the learning atmosphere communicative through the question & answer, and make a game of learning. Using a simple learning media and multimedia like bringing the novel, music, appliance painting, pictures and videos learning, singing by changing the lyrics to matter and samosa, funny language learning. And give the touch of compassion as motivation and advice.

Abstract

The main purpose of this research is to know does the use of cartoon character art board as a media could could be increasing the Score and activeness the Social Studies learning result of 41 students in the class of VIII-6, SMP Negeri 42 Bekasi, 2nd semester, education year of 2018/2019. This research was done from March to May 2019. The applied method in this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) Method. which was done by a collaboration with social science teachers at SMP Negeri 42 Bekasi. 3 stages was applied during the research, they were: Planning, Acting, Observing and Reflecting. This research found the increase of learning result in every stage that was applied. In the 1st stage, there were 51% (21 students) who had score for learning result above the minimum standardize score which is 75. 2nd stage found there were 73% (30 students) who had score for learning result above the minimum standardize score which is 75. And in the 3rd stage, there were 85% (35 students) who had score for learning result above the minimum standardize score which is 75. Moreover, cartoon character art board media able to increase students’ activity to learn as well. Active level percentage in the first cycle was 12%. In the second cycle was increasing to 38%. And in the third cycle significantly increased to 54%. The conclusion of the research is the using of cartoon character art board as a media could increase the Social Studies learning result and the active level of the students, therefor the students could get a better score for social studies subject which is above the minimum standardize score 75. Abstract

Abstract This research aims to find out the implementation of Reciprocal Teaching model to increase result of social sciences learning. This research was conducted in Class VIII-C, consisting of 37 students, in Junior High School of Terbuka 3 Depok from January to March 2020. A Classroom Action Research was used in this research, consisting of two cycles, and each cycle consisted of four stages; Planning, Acting, Observing, and Reflecting. The research results showed an increase in each cycle. In cycle 1, 59% (22 students) passed the KKM (65) with an average score of 64. In cycle 2, 84% (31 students) passed the KKM (65) with an average score of 76. In addition to learning result, students activeness also improved in each cycle. The percentage of students activeness in cycle 1 was 0% for students who were very active in asking question, answering question, providing opinion, and cooperating. Meanwhile in cycle 2, the number increased to 8% for students who were very active in asking and answering question, and increased to 11% for students who were very active in providing opinion and cooperating. Thus, it can be concluded that the Reciprocal Teaching model can improve students social science learning result above the KKM (65) and improve students activeness in the aspects of asking, answering, providing opinion, and cooperating. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Kelas VIII-C yang berjumlah 37 peserta didik di SMP Negeri 3 Terbuka Depok sejak bulan Januari sampai bulan Maret 2020. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus, setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu: Perencanaan Tindakan (Planning), Pelaksanaan Tindakan (Acting), Observasi (Observing), dan Refleksi (Reflecting). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terjadi peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Pada siklus 1 sebesar 59% (22 peserta didik) yang memperoleh nilai diatas KKM 65 dengan rata-rata nilai 64, dan pada siklus 2 sebesar 84% (31 siswa) yang memperoleh nilai diatas KKM 65 dengan rata-rata nilai 76. Selain hasil belajar, keaktifan peserta didik juga mengalami peningkatan pada setiap siklus. Persentase keaktifan peserta didik pada siklus 1 sebesar 0% untuk peserta didik yang sangat aktif dalam kemampuan bertanya, menjawab pertanyaan, berpendapat dan kerja sama. Kemudian pada siklus 2 meningkat dengan persentase sebesar 8% untuk peserta didik yang sangat aktif dalam kemampuan bertanya dan menjawab pertanyaan, serta 11% untuk peserta didik yang sangat aktif dalam kemampuan berpendapat dan kerja sama. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPS peserta didik diatas KKM 65 dan meningkatkan keaktifan peserta didik dalam aspek kemampuan bertanya, menjawab, berpendapat, dan kerja sama. Abstract

ABSTRACT Fitria Nur Solicha, The Effect of Parental Social Support on Decision Making Choosing a Social Sciences Education Study Program in Social Sciences Education Study Program Students of the 2019 FIS UNJ. Essay. Jakarta: Social Sciences Education Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jakarta State University, July 2019. This research is motivated by the lack of social support of parents in making decisions choosing study programs. This study aims to measure empirically the influence of parents' social support on decision making choosing social science education study programs. The method used in this research is quantitative research methods, and the sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling. The population in this study were IPS class of 2019 students, amounting to 78, while the sample in this study amounted to 65 respondents. Based on the results of research by testing the simple linear regression hypothesis shows that the value of R square is 0.280 which shows the effect of 28%. The remaining 72% is explained by other variables outside the study. In addition, it was also strengthened by the t-test result of 4,947> t-table 1,999. so it can be concluded that the parent's social support variable influences the decision making variable in choosing a social science education study program. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya dukungan sosial orang tua dalam pengambilan keputusan memilih program studi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur secara empirik pengaruh dukungan sosial orang tua terhadap pengambilan keputusan memilih program studi pendidikan ilmu pengetahuan sosial. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif, dan teknik sampling yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah simple random sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa pendidikan ips angkatan 2019 yang berjumlah 78, sedangkan untuk sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 65 responden. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dengan pengujian hipotesis regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa nilai R square sebsar 0,280 yang menunjukkan pengaruhnya sebesar 28%. Adapun sisanya 72% dijelaskan oleh variabel-variabel lain diluar penelitian. Selain itu diperkuat juga dengan hasil t-hitung sebesar 4.947 > t-tabel 1.999. sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa variabel dukungan sosial orang tua berpengaruh terhadap variabel pengambilan keputusan memilih program studi pendidikan ilmu pengetahuana sosial. Abstract

ABSTRACK Indonesia is known as an agricultural country which has abundant natural resources. However, the Indonesian government continues to carry out food import activities to meet the food needs of the community. In order to reduce import activities, food needs can be produced independently by carrying out urban farming activities. This research method uses a qualitative approach. Research subjects are members of ROSAI who have carried out urban farming activities. The results of the study concluded that (1) The reasons for the community choosing urban farming as food independence, namely (a) the ecological factor refers to the soil and water in the area of ​​Alam Indah studio housing which is very good and suitable for growing vegetable crops. (b) Economic factors refer to the people's desire to reduce expenditure but still be able to consume foods with sufficient nutrients and nutrients. (c) Social factors refer to the desire to live healthily and to start living in harmony with neighbors to avoid social conflict. (2) Urban farming activities in Alam Indah studio housing, Depok, namely (a) Organic farming is an organic farming activity without using any chemicals. (b) The organic market is a platform for members who wish to sell excess crops. (c) Farming training is a farming educational activity for beginners who want to try organic farming. Keywords: food independence, urban farming, community ABSTRAK Indonesia dikenal dengan sebutan negara agraris yang memiliki sumber kekayaan alam melimpah. Namun kegiatan impor pangan terus dilakukan oleh pemerintah Indonesia guna memenuhi kebutuhan pangan masyarakat. Demi mengurangi kegiatan impor maka kebutuhan pangan dapat di produksi sendiri dengan melakukan kegiatan urban farming. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian anggota ROSAI yang telah melakukan kegiatan urban farming. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa (1)Penyebab masyarakat memilih urban farming sebagai kemandirian pangan, yaitu (a)Faktor ekologi mengacu kepada tanah dan air yang berada diwilayah perumahan studio alam indah sangat baik dan cocok untuk ditanami oleh tanaman sayur. (b)Faktor ekonomi mengacu kepada keinginan masyarakat dalam mengurangi pengeluaran namun tetap dapat mengkonsumsi makanan dengan nutrizi dan gizi yang cukup. (c)Faktor sosial mengacu kepada keinginan hidup sehat serta ingin memulai hidup selaras dengan para tetangga untuk menghindari konflik sosial. (2)Kegiatan urban farming di perumahan studio alam indah, Depok yaitu (a)Bertanam organic merupakan kegiatan bertanam secara organic tanpa menggunakan bahan kimia sedikitpun. (b)Pasar organic adalah wadah bagi para anggota yang ingin mejajakan hasil panen yang berlebih. (c)Training bertanam adalah kegiatan edukasi bertanam bagi para pemula yang ingin mencoba bertanam organic. Kata kunci: kemandirian pangan, urban farming, masyarakat

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine there is/no differences in dependence on the use of social media for Generation Y and Generation Z also to see how the selected social media apps different. This study uses a comparative descriptive method with a quantitative approach, where the nature of this research design does not provide treatment or manipulation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The samples in this study were Generation Y and Generation Z at the research site. Based on the results of tests carried out using the Mann Whitney U Test, the results were not significant differences between Generation Y and Generation Z in the use of social media with a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.326. Generation Y and Z show a situation where there is no separation between themselves in the real world and the virtual world. The conclusion of this study is that there is no difference in the dependence on the use of social media of Generation Y and Generation Z. If you look at the type of social media chosen, there is a difference where Generation Y prefers social media WhatsApp and Facebook while Generation Z chooses WhatsApp and Instagram, other media choices are: such as e-commerce and video games. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dimana sifat desain penelitian ini tidak memberikan perlakuan atau manipulasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah Generasi Y dan Generasi Z di lokasi penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil uji yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan Mann Whitney U Test hasilnya tidak terdapat perbedaan yang siginifikan antara Generasi Y dan Generasi Z dalam penggunaan media sosial dengan nilai Sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0.326. Pada generasi Y dan Z memperlihatkan keadaan dimana tidak ada pemisah diri mereka antara di dunia nyata dan dunia maya. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu tidak ada perbedaan ketergantungan penggunaan media sosial generasi Y dan Generasi Z. Jika dilihat jenis media sosial yang dipilih maka terdapat perbedaan dimana Generasi Y lebih memilih media sosial WhatsApp dan Facebook sedangkan Generasi Z memilih WhatsApp dan Instagram, pilihan media lainnya yaitu seperti e-commerce dan video games. Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk sosialisasi kepada guru-guru SMP di dalam menerapkan pendidikan lingkungan melalui animasi 2D dalam pembelajaran. Sasaran kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah guru-guru SMPN 30 dan SMPN 173 Jakarta Utara, dengan pertimbangan bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi guru guru tersebut terkait dengan penerapan pendidikan lingkungan melalui animasi 2D dalam pembelajaran belum pernah dilakukan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan di Aula SMPN 30 pada tanggal 6 dan 7 Agustus 2020 yang dihadiri oleh 15 orang peserta. Peserta kegiatan ini dibatasi jumlahnya, dikarenakan adanya social distancing akibat pandemi Covid-19. Dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diberikan tentang materi pendidikan lingkungan melalui animasi 2D dalam pembelajaran melalui metode ceramah bervariasi, tanya jawab, diskusi interaktif, demontrasi, simulasi, dan pengisian kuesioner. Kemudian dilakukan analisis dan pembahasan mengenai cara mengintegrasikan pendidikan lingkungan melalui animasi 2D dalam pembelajaran di sekolah. Hasil akhir kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan, pemahaman, dan penguasaan guru mengenai pendidikan lingkungan melalui animasi 2D dalam pembelajaran untuk membentuk karakter peduli lingkungan siswa. ABSTRACT The purpose of this community service activity is to socialize junior high school teachers in implementing environmental education through 2D animation in learning. The target of this community service activity is the teachers of SMPN 30 and SMPN 173 North Jakarta, with the consideration that the teacher outreach activities related to the implementation of environmental education through 2D animation in learning have never been carried out. This method of implementing community service activities was carried out in the SMPN 30 Hall on August 6 and 7, 2020 which was attended by 15 participants. Participans in this activity were instructed, because of social distancing due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In community service activities that are given about 2D animation environmental education material in learning through various lecture methods, question, and answer, interactive discussioan demonstration simulations and filling out questionnaires. Then an analysis and discussion is conducted on how to integrate 2D animation environtmental education into learning in schools. The end result of community service activities is the knowledge, understanding, and mastery of teachers regarding 2D animation environmental education in learning to form student’s environmental care characters.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this international collaboration of community service activity is to provide entrepreneurship education assistance for elementary school teacher groups. The implementation method used in this activity was carried out in a systematic, structured, and directed manner through interactive discussions, demonstrations, simulations, and filling out questionnaires. The learning system used assistance and guidance from partner mentors from Konstanz University of Applied Sciences in Germany, Prof. Dr. Christian von Luebke. After mentoring activities were completed, an evaluation was carried out to measure the effectiveness of the mentoring activities. This international collaboration of community service activity was carried out for 12 elementary school teachers in DKI Jakarta Province on July 12, 2021 for the first session about “entrepreneurship and education”, July 19, 2021 for the second session about “methods and tools for an entrepreneurial mindset”, and July 26 2021 for the third session about “realizing an entrepreneurial mindset” through the zoom platform. Based on the evaluation measurement, teachers' interest in entrepreneurship education reached 86.75% and they will implement entrepreneurship education for elementary school students to improve their creativity and critical thinking. The results of the satisfaction survey assessed from 16 aspects of the assessment of international collaboration of community service activity show that the average satisfaction level of participants was 94%. Abstrak Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) kolaborasi internasional ini adalah untuk melakukan pendampingan Pendidikan Kewirausahaan untuk kelompok PkM guru sekolah dasar. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PkM kolaborasi internasional ini dijalankan secara sistematis, terstruktur, dan terarah melalui diskusi interaktif, demonstrasi, simulasi, pengisian angket. Sistem pembelajaran dalam kegiatan PkM internasional ini menggunakan pendampingan dan bimbingan dari mentor mitra dari Konstanz University of Applied Sciences di Jerman, Prof. Dr. Christian von Luebke. Setelah kegiatan pendampingan selesai, dilakukan evaluasi untuk mengukur efektivitas dari kegiatan pendampingan tersebut. Kegiatan PkM kolaborasi internasional ini dilakukan untuk 12 guru SD di Provinsi DKI Jakarta pada 12 Juli 2021 untuk sesi pertama tentang “kewirausahaan dan pendidikan”, 19 Juli 2021 untuk sesi kedua tentang “metode dan alat untuk pola pikir kewirausahaan”, dan 26 Juli 2021 untuk sesi ketiga tentang “mewujudkan pola pikir kewirausahaan” melalui platform zoom. Berdasarkan pengukuran evaluasi, minat guru terhadap pendidikan kewirausahaan mencapai 86,75% dan mereka akan menerapkan pendidikan kewirausahaan bagi siswa sekolah dasar untuk meningkatkan kreativitas dan kemampuan berpikir kritis mereka. Hasil survey kepuasan yang dinilai dari 16 aspek penilaian kegiatan PkM kolaborasi internasional menunjukkan rata-rata tingkat kepuasan peserta kegiatan PkM kolaborasi internasional sebesar 94 %.

Abstract

Abstract Empowerment of elementary school teachers in DKI Jakarta to improve assessment competence in literacy was carried out through community service activities in international collaboration with Professor Heather Fehring from RMIT University, Australia. The target of this activity is elementary school teachers in the Province of Jakarta who have problems in dealing with ineffective literacy assessments. In addition, solutions in the form of empowerment related to handling literacy assessments to achieve optimal learning quality have never been carried out. The method in implementing this activity used a cooperative learning approach and problem based learning. This activity will be held on May 31, July 2, and July 26, 2021 through the zoom platform related to the topics of purpose of literacy assessment, types of literacy assessment techniques, and implementation of literacy assessment techniques. The result of this activity is an increase in the competence of literacy assessment for elementary school teachers in DKI Jakarta. This international collaboration community service activity is expected to broaden international insight and improve the competence of literacy assessment for elementary school teachers in the Province of Jakarta. The results of the satisfaction survey assessed from 16 assessment aspects of the international collaboration in community service activities for 12 elementary school teachers in DKI Jakarta showed that the average satisfaction level of participants arrived at 96%. Abstrak Pemberdayaan guru sekolah dasar di DKI Jakarta untuk meningkatkan kompetensi penilaian literasi dilakukan melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kolaborasi internasional dengan narasumber Professor Heather Fehring dari RMIT University, Australia. Target kegiatan ini adalah guru sekolah dasar di DKI Jakarta yang memiliki permasalahan di dalam menangani penilaian literasi yang belum efektif. Disamping itu, solusi berupa pemberdayaan terkait dengan penanganan penilaian literasi untuk mencapaian kualitas pembelajaran yang optimal belum pernah dilakukan. Metode di dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan cooperatif learning dan problem based learning. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini pada Tanggal 31 Mei, 2 July, dan 26 Juli 2021 melalui platform zoom terkait topik tentang model pengajaran literasi yang efektif, tujuan penilaian literasi, dan teknik-teknik penilaian literasi. Hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan ini adalah peningkatan kompetensi penilaian literasi pada guru sekolah dasar di DKI Jakarta. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat kolaborasi internasional ini diharapkan dapat memperluas wawasan internasional dan meningkatkan kompetensi penilaian literasi pada guru sekolah dasar di DKI Jakarta. Hasil survey kepuasan yang dinilai dari 16 aspek penilaian pada kegiatan PkM kolaborasi internasional yang dilaksanakan pada 12 guru sekolah dasar di DKI Jakarta menunjukkan rata-rata tingkat kepuasan peserta kegiatan PkM kolaborasi internasional sebesar 96 %.
