Abstract

Ekosistem mangrove memiliki manfaat fisik, biologis, maupun ekonomis. Mangrove ecosystems have physical, biological and economic benefits. Mangrove management into ecotourism is a model of the use of mangroves that have economic and sustainable value. This study aims to determine the existing mangrove conditions and mangrove tourism management models carried out by the local community. The study was conducted using the transect line plot method, key informant interviews, and distributing questionnaires to the community. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the existing mangrove conditions are dominated by R. mucronata which is the result of the local government's mangrove planting program since 2011. The condition of the sapling category is classified as dense, while at the tree category is classified as rare. Mangrove in Gedangan is managed as an educational tourism at the initiative of the local community with self-help capital. There is support from external communities and the local government in its management. Mangrove planting is still being carried out by the government and local education institutions. Regulations prohibiting mangrove destruction have been implemented. The economic impacts felt by the community include being a source of basic and additional income by taking various mangrove ecosystem resources.

Abstract

Abstract

The presence of a waste bank institution can encourage people to have the habit of sorting waste and change the paradigm that waste is worth. Furthermore, with a waste bank, the community can earn additional income from selling waste. The presence of a waste bank also has an impact on aspects of environmental cleanliness. In this study, researchers describe the environmental impact of the existence of a waste bank and the allocation of additional income earned by the community from the sale of sorted waste. The method used in this research is a survey by conducting interviews with the waste bank management to determine the management model. Interviews were also conducted with waste bank customers to obtain data on the amount of waste deposited and the customer's financial allocation. The number of customers in Dusun Krecekan is 19 people. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistical methods to describe the waste bank management mechanism and the portion of the community's additional income allocation from participation in waste bank activities. The presence of the Krecekan Ngudi Resik waste bank is the result of initiation from the community-driven by the desire to create a clean environment. Good waste bank management is the key to a sustainable waste bank. The presence and support of community leaders also play an essential role in the sustainability of the waste bank. The Krecekan Ngudi Resik waste bank has positively impacted environmental hygiene and the community's economy. Most people who become customers (78.9%) allocate money obtained from waste bank activities for consumption needs.

Abstract

The development of technology has had an impact on the proliferation of digitalpreneur actors. Technology makes it easy for people to open a business. In general, business people's primary orientation is to profit by minimizing costs. Unfortunately, environmental issues have not become part of the business management considerations of most business actors. The concept of green business is an ideal form in the implementation of the business world. In this study, researchers examine the level of awareness of digitalpreneur actors regarding waste management in their business. This study takes samples from digitalpreneur actors in the Central Java region. The data collection method used a questionnaire with a quota sampling technique. The analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The result of this study is that most digitalpreneur actors know the importance of sorting waste and depositing the results in a waste bank. However, in reality, many digitalpreneur actors still do not realize that the waste management of their business is not good. Therefore, it is essential to educate and socialize about waste bank to increase literacy on the importance of waste processing.

Abstract

The southern coast of Purwodadi Subdistrict, Purworejo Regency, Central Java, has a mangrove ecosystem which is a part of nature conservation area. Unfortunately, some of the mangrove areas have been converted into ponds by the local community. This study aims to examine the current condition of the mangrove ecosystem, especially following land conversion activities, in terms of physical and biotic aspects. The results of this study can later be used as evaluation material to determine the best approach in sustainably managing the mangrove ecosystem. The method used in this study was the transect line plot for vegetation observation and in situ measurements to obtain physical water data. Aerial photographs were used to determine the area of existing mangroves and the overall state of mangrove vegetation. Data analysis of this study used vegetation index calculations and compared them with the guidelines from the Minister of Environment and Forestry Decree No. 201/2004 and No. 51/2004. This study indicates that the mangrove ecosystem of Purwodadi Subdistrict is in the brackish stream mangroves zone, which is located along with the brackish water flow until the area where the water is almost fresh (barely salty). The dominant vegetations are Rhizophora mucronata and Nypa fruticans. Except for the dissolved oxygen (DO) parameter, the measurement of the physical elements of the waters fulfills the quality criteria. This is due to the presence of shrimp pond waste in the mangrove waters. The salinity level in this area has a value below 10%, unlike the salinity value found in mangrove waters in general.

Abstract

C.capitulata and C.latofilia are recognized as a medical plants in Asia, especially for ancient India and China. In Indonesia, i.e Kebonharjo (a village in Samigaluh District, Kulon Progo, Yogyakarta), people use it as a sweetener replacing sugar. Phenol, neonorlignan, and protein inside these plants had been examined by some researchers. However, the nutrient content inside the fruit are rare or slight recorded. This study aims to reveal the composition of minerals (Ca, Fe, Mg, K), carbohydrate compound (glucose, fructose, sucrose) and Vitamin C in their fruit, therefore, the development to preserve these species can be concerned due to the plan of “Bedah Menoreh” program, a program of road construction connecting between New Yogyakarta International Airport (NYIA) and Borobudur Temple. The method for finding out the nutrient content is by laboratorium analysis. Result showed that both fruit contained potentially high of mineral, especially Ca (calcium), but C.capitulata and C.latifolia contained no sucrose and glucose respectively.
