Abstract

Wayang Gaga is a contemporary puppet made from grass. Wayang Gaga is staged with a simple story and triggers communication between the players and the audience. Wayang Gaga can be used as a medium for creativity education for children through the process of creating and appreciating. This study aims to examine Wayang Gaga as a medium for creativity education for elementary school children. Research location in Nongkosawit Public Elementary School 02, Jl. Randusari, RT.06/RW.02, Nongkosawit, Gunungpati District, Semarang City. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data validation technique uses source triangulation. Data analysis techniques refer to Miles and Huberman with data reduction procedures, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that Wayang Gaga can be used as a medium for creativity education for elementary school children through the process of making puppets (creations) to short performances by students (appreciation). Weaving skills, the breadth of thinking and the flexibility of speaking in public when being a puppeteer is one of the characteristics of creativity that results from learning activities using the Wayang Gaga media. Specific creativity can be seen from the personalities of students involved in a series of creative processes namely Wayang Gaga workshops and performances, supported by internal and external driving factors, so as to produce a creative product in the form of Wayang Gaga and its performances. This research is expected to bring up new educational media based on local wisdom, so that in addition to developing creativity students can also recognize and love the arts in their own area.

Abstract

Proses pengkristalan serbuk bandrek manual pada UKM Ayuk dusun Mangun, Limbangan, mengakibatkan kelelahan pekerja dan menghasilkan residu sebanyak 40% berupa gumpalan kristal besar menyerupai permen. Residu dihasilkan pada kondisi suhu pemasakan 85-90°C dan kecepatan aduk 40 Rpm dengan tenaga manusia. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut peneliti merancang alat pengkristal bandrek menggunakan Desain Eksperimen Taguchi untuk mencapai kondisi ideal guna meminimalkan residu dan mengurangi kerugian secara kuantitatif. Alat yang dirancang digunakan dalam percobaan sebanyak 16 kali sehingga menghasilkan kondisi ideal atau kondisi optimum pada setting suhu 95°-100° C dan kecepatan aduk dengan 80 Rpm. Terlihat adanya penurunan jumlah residu yang sebelumnya 40% menjadi 19% pada hasil implementasi.

Abstract

Adat Ubud Village as one of the villages in Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province, historically it has been known as the center of natural and cultural tourism in Bali. Particularly in the development of cultural tourism, it has become a source of the village income as well as between generations in community members. The cultural tourism in this matter is in the form of barong ket dance performances that are performed in various characters and staged at various stages spread across the area of Ubud. This study aims to examine the problem of how the process of cultivating the barong ket dance to the younger generation in preserving and developing traditional arts so that it becomes a source of income that has economic value. The strategy used in analyzing and examining this research problem uses an enculturation approach. The research results show that; 1) The enculturation of the Barong ket dance that has developed in Ubud was carried out by inheriting a dance style that has been created by its elders. 2) style that has been inherited then developed again through the process of enculturation to young generations. 3) the result of the consistent enculturation process could have implications for the existence of the art of barong ket dance as well as an attraction for tourists who were visiting to Ubud area.

Abstract

UMKM kan Asap ndah  merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang ndustri kan asap. Sebagian proses produksi dilakukan pada perusahaan masih dilakukan secara manual. Selain tu, ditemukannya denyut jantung yamg melewati nilai ambang batas pada saat bekerja. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka perlu dilakukan penelitian mengenai beban kerja fisik menggunakan metode CVL, tingkat kelelahan kerja menggunakan metode FRC yang dialami oleh pekerja dan Konsumsi energy untuk mengetahui konsumsi energi yang dikeluarkan. Hasil CVL menunjukkan bahwa 20 orang pekerja terdapat 8 pekerja dengan kategori ringan, 10 pekerja dengan kategori sedang, 2 pekerja dengan kategori agak berat. Sedangkan Hasil penentuan dari tingkat kelelahan berdasarkan kuesioner FRC menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 10 pekerja dalam kategori rendah, 8 pekerja dalam kategori sedang, dan 2 pekerja dalam kategori tinggi.Hasil rancangan perbaikan untuk mengoptimalkan beban kerja fisiologi pada pekerja proses pengasapan yaitu dengan pemberian exhaust fan tipe Sekai PVF-17. Lalu untuk rancangan perbaikan bagi proses pemotongan yaitu dengan pemindahan ke bagian pencucian kan dan pada proses pencucian kan dipindahkan ke bagian proses penusukan kan dan memberikan tambahan waktu stirahat. Hasil yang didapatkan dari usulan tersebut mendapatkan nilai yang signifikan menurunkan beban kerja fisik yang dari awalnya tinggi menjadi sedang.

Abstract

This research article explains the product design and development optimization of multi feature engine carbon cleaning maintenance tools. The implementation of the Reverse Engineering method was integrated with VDI 2222 in the research process. The results of the optimal design and development of this tool obtained a component structure that was able to meet 14 types of consumer needs with a total tool cost of IDR 1.137.900 with a total tool weight of 6.9 kg. The results of the load test simulation concluded that the housing case was able to withstand the overall weight of the components that make up the tool. Depending on the liquid chemical used, the results of tool tests on a limited scale have proven to be able in save fuel consumption by ±12.5% per hour with engine workload which can also be reduced by 3,14%.

Abstract

Management of Islamic education, may be a word that we often know, we hear even we do, but many of us may not fully understand the meaning of the definition of islamic education management. Therefore we must see what exactly the meaning or definition of the management of Islamic educational institutions. There are various opinions that suggest about the definition of Islamic education management, therefore we need an agreement in advance what is meant by islamic education management. The development of an institution is very dependent on the management process or / management. If the management is good the institution will also develop well and vice versa. Management is a process to achieve organizational objectives by carrying out activities of 4 main functions, namely Planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. Thus, management is an ongoing activity. These management functions interact with each other and hook each other up, resulting in a so-called management process. Thus, the management process is actually a process of interaction between various management functions

Abstract

Yangko cake is a culinary area that is often used as souvenirs when visiting the city of Yogyakarta with a sticky texture, supple and soft. In yangko cake making, producers are faced with problems during the process of cutting the cake. It is necessary to have an effective cake cutter so that it can increase its productivity. From the results of research conducted by using rational methods, obtained the result that the cutting tool cake is designed by using sling cutting technology. The rational method consist of several stages: (1) clarifying objectives, (2) establish function, (3) setting requirement, (4) determining characteristic, (5) generating alternatives, (6) evaluating alternatives, dan (7) product improvements. From the results of experimental tools that have been done, obtained increased time efficiency and productivity cutting process as much as 60%. In addition, the cuts using this tool also have better quality than before and reducing the number of defective products. In terms of use, this tool has a good enough resistance and is designed with the concept of ergonomics so it can be used with comfort.

Abstract

Planning and controlling the needs of both raw materials and finished products is a significant thing for companies to optimize their production. This also applies to CV. Mitra Setia Usaha that  engaged in the textile industry with raw materials batik cloth. During this time, CV. Mitra Setia Usaha has not applied standard methods in the planning and control of raw material needs. Determination of the amount of raw materials so far only based on the number of consumer orders. In the last 2 (two years) (October 2014 to September 2016), the company received a request of 5.050,000 meters, but the existing supply of cotton fabric was only 4,920,500 meters. One of the methods that can be applied in the CV. Loyal Business Partners is the Material Requirement Planning (MRP). By applying this MRP-Lot for for lot (LFL) method, CV. Mitra Setia Usaha able to reduce the cost incurred in the procurement of raw materials for one year which initially amounted to 104.328.000 rupiah to 93.817.673 rupiah and can even be reduced again to 83.306.995 rupiah using the method of Order Quantity Period (POQ)

Abstract

Scaffolding is a tool commonly used in installation processes that are similar in shape to stairs. Based on survey results to existing scaffolding users, it is concluded that it needs to be redesign because it is too heavy and inflexible. This is why many scaffolding users are not satisfied. In this research, will be designed a scaffolding that suits the needs of consumers by using rational methods and anthropometric approach. The use of rational methods aims to obtain the objectives, functions, details, and selection of scaffolding materials, while the anthropometric approach is used to determine the size of the scaffolding according to Indonesian posture. From the research that has been done, the results obtained that the scaffolding to be designed has to can be set height, can be folded so that it can save space, lightweight, easy to carry and safe to use. Testing of designed scaffolding gives results that the new design is able to withstand loads of up to 2500 Newtons (254.94 Kg) making it safe to use for 2-3 people.
