Abstract

This study investigated the relationship between Human Capital (HC) and Competitive Advantage (CA) in thecoffee shop industry of Bukittinggi, a prominent tourist destination in West Sumatra. Utilizing a quantitative approach,primary data were collected through structured questionnaires distributed to 55 coffee shop owners. The researchemployed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS to analyze the data, aiming to elucidate how investmentsin human capital contributed to achieving competitive advantage in a highly competitive market. The findings indicated asignificant positive relationship between human capital and competitive advantage, highlighting the critical role ofemployee education, skills, and experience in enhancing business performance. Additionally, the study introduced socialcapital as a vital variable linked to networking within the coffee business community, which further supportedcompetitive advantage. The results emphasized the importance of developing human capital strategies for coffee shopowners to thrive in an evolving marketplace. These insights provided practical implications for l ocal entrepreneurs,policymakers, and stakeholders, suggesting that continued investment in human resources could foster business growthand positively impact the tourism sector in Bukittinggi. Ultimately, this research contributed to the broader understandingof human capital's role in driving competitive advantage within small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Abstract

Servicescape or service environment is a variable that defines the availability of tangibles where services areprovided to consumers. In the service business, the physical condition of the place where the service is provided caninfluence consumer perception and satisfaction. Servicescape is one of the most critical aspects in adding value to customersbecause business players need to provide satisfaction and value to customers. The objects of this research activity areAmbient Condition, Spatial Layout, Functionality, Sign Symbol, and Artifact, with the unit of analysis being the consumersof Workas Coffee and Eatery. This research model is qualitative, and data collection is conducted using a questionnairethat includes open-ended questions. Data analysis was performed using Nvivo Version 12 to assist in coding therespondents' answers. The coding results indicate that 50% of respondents highlighted aspects of the servicescape ofWorkas Coffee and Eatery, such as limited parking area, insufficient indoor cooling, a lack of electrical outlets, and lightingissues.

Abstract

This research delves into how digital and entrepreneurial focus contribute to gaining an edge, for coffee shops in Bukittinggi and Payakumbuh areas.The study employs a survey approach by gathering information from 115 coffee shop proprietors or supervisors in these regions.The findings reveal a correlation between emphasis and competitive advantage suggestive of the significance of utilizing digital tools and tactics for business prosperity. Moreover the study indicates that while entrepreneurial orientation is positively influential it has an impact compared to the emphasis, on strategies. It implies that although having an entrepreneurial mindset is crucial, in the coffee shop industry todays landscape requires businesses to embrace transformation to stay ahead of the curve. The data was examined utilizing. The results underscore the significance of utilizing technology for long term development and establishment as a market leader.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah harus memiliki daya saing supaya tetap bertahan. Salah satu strategi untuk meningkatkan daya saing adalah menggunakan media pemasaran yang tepat yang menggabungkan antara media pemasaran offline (konvensional) dan online. Media pemasaran yang dimiliki oleh Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah sebelumnya masih konvensional yaitu dilakukan secara offline, sehingga pertumbuhan pasarnya juga sangat lambat. Dalam era globalisasi dan digitalisasi yang pesat, sektor Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) menjadi tulang punggung ekonomi, memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pembangunan ekonomi di banyak negara. Namun, UMKM sering kali menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan pemasaran dan penjualan produk mereka. Perubahan perilaku konsumen yang beralih ke belanja online menunjukkan pentingnya adopsi teknologi digital bagi UMKM agar dapat bersaing dan bertahan di pasar yang semakin terkoneksi. Selain itu perkembangan peran UMKM yang besar ditunjukkan oleh banyaknya jumlah unit usaha serta kontribusinya dalam penyerapan tenaga kerja. Disamping memiliki peranan yang signifikan terhadap perekonomian, Di era globalisasi saat ini UMKM harus mampu menghadapi tingginya persaingan usaha dan tantangan global, seperti meningkatkan inovasi produk dan jasa, pengembangan sumber daya manusia dan teknologi, serta perluasan area pemasaran. Abstract

Usaha coffee shop adalah salah satu usaha berskala mikro dan kecil yang tumbuh dan berkembang diberbagai kota di Indonesia termasuk Kota Padang. Dalam menjalankan usahanya, media digital menjadi salah satu saluran untuk berpromosi dan menjual produk. Media digital yang umumnya digunakan adalah media social, hal ini disebabkan media social umum dimiliki oleh anak muda sebagai target market coffee shop. Dalam penggunaan media social masih ditemukan ketidakmaksimalan penggunaan diantaranya: keberlanjutan mengirim konten, lama dalam merespon follower, konten tidak menarik. Untuk memaksimalkan penggunaan media social tersebut maka diberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan pada pengusaha/pengelola coffee shop. Materi pelatihan yang diberikan dimulai dari pemahaman bahwa perilaku konsumen di era marketing 5.0 berubah, pentingnya digitalisasi dalam usaha menjawab perubahan perilaku konsumen tersebut dan bagaimana membangun keterikatan dengan konsumen melalui media social. Pada kegiatan pendampingan dilakukan dampingan dalam membuat konten dan keberlanjutan menggunakan media social sebagai alat pemasaran.

Abstract

An archive storage system is a system used for document storage to make it easier to store and quickly find documents that have been stored if needed at any time. Proper storage of government archives is very necessary to maintain and preserve documents so they can be used and found again in the future. Some of the obstacles faced by the Administration and Personnel Subdivision of the West Sumatra Province Regional People's Representative Council Secretariat in managing incoming and outgoing letters is that it takes quite a long time to search for certain letters. The research method used is data collection through observation . Archives at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council of West Sumatra Province are stored in a filing cabinet, this functions to save archive storage space.

Abstract

This study analyzes the impact of liquidity, capital structure, and good corporate governance (GCG) on profitability (return on assets) in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020-2024 period. This study aims to provide an empirical overview of internal company factors that influence the financial performance of the food and beverage sector in Indonesia. This research plays a significant role because this sector is one of the strategic areas that demonstrates good resilience to the economy. Therefore, it is hoped that the results of this study can contribute to management in making financial and management decisions. Furthermore, this study aims to develop the literature that examines the impact of good corporate governance on profitability, focusing on the variables of the board of directors, the board of commissioners, and the audit committee as benchmarks for GCG. The sample consisted of 22 companies covering 110 observations. The method applied in this analysis was multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that liquidity does not significantly affect ROA, while capital structure and board direction have a significant influence. However, the board of commissioners and the audit committee do not significantly contribute to profitability
