Abstract

This study aims to describe the education of environmental-care characters through the Mahira Garbage-Free Program at SD Alam Mahira Kota Bengkulu consisting of planning, implementing, and evaluating. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were elementary school students of Alam Mahira Kota Bengkulu. Techniques Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis is done by data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Testing the validity of data using, persistence, triangulation technique, source triangulation and member check. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that: (1) Planning phase of Mahira Garbage free program includes preparation of work program of Mahira Bebas Sampah, scheduling activity schedule, and budget funding and activity fund source. (2) The implementation of the Mahira Garbage free program uses a strategy of habituation through conditioning, routine, programmed, spontaneous and exemplary. Implemented programs include socialization of the importance of maintaining cleanliness, daily and monthly cleanliness, provision of hygiene facilities, separating organic and inorganic waste, and utilizing waste into more useful items. (3) Evaluation of Mahira-Free Program for the students of Alam Mahira elementary school that is integrated in attitude assessment in each student progress report card. The conclusion is that the education of the environment-care character of the Mahira-Free Garbage program through the stages of planning, implementation, and Assessment.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of manipulative media on student learning outcomes in learning mathematics class V SDN 52 Kota Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative type. The research method used is Quasi Experimental with design type The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study is all students of grade V SDN Kota Bengkulu using KTSP. While the sample of class V students in SDN 52 Kota Bengkulu consists of VA, VB, VC and VD. The sampling technique uses cluster random sampling. From the scramble obtained VC class of 28 students as experiment class and VA class amounted to 29 students as control class. The research instrument used in the form of cognitive learning result test is in the form of multiple choice questions given through pretest and posttest in the experimental class and control class. Data of this research are analyzed by using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis that is t-test. Data of research result which is processed by using t-test is got tcount value 2,84 and t table value equal to 1,625. Systematically seen t count (2.84)> t table (1,625) at 5% significant level, it can be concluded that there is influence of the use of manipulative media on student learning outcomes on learning matemtika class V SDN 52 Kota Bengkulu.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the activities and results of learning mathematics using the discovery learning model. This type of research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Subjects of this study was grade III B SDIT Generasi Rabbani Bengukulu. The data collection instrument used student activity observation sheets and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique uses arithmetic mean and the percentage of learning completeness. The results showed: 1) Teacher activity in the first cycle obtained an average of 3.38 and in the second cycle an average of 3.81, 2) Student activity in the first cycle obtained an average of 3.13 and in the second cycle an average of 3.67, 3) Learning result in the first cycle were obtained an average of 71.43 with learning completeness 64.29 %, an increase in the second cycle obtained an average value of 76.79 with 82.14% completeness learning. The conclusion of this study that the use of the discovery learning model can increase the activity and learning result of class III B students of SDIT Generasi Rabbani, Bengkulu City.

Abstract

Education in Indonesia is currently promoting literacy education. One of the highlights is mathematical literacy. Mathematical literacy ability in Indonesia is still relatively low. This is evidenced by the results of the 2018 Program for International Assessment (PISA) survey, in the field of mathematics, Indonesia is ranked 72 out of 78 countries with a score of 379. The objectives of the research are: to improve students' mathematical literacy skills in the Basic Concepts of geometry and measurement lectures in PGSD FKIP Study Program, Bengkulu University by applying a realistic mathematics education (RME) model. This research uses action research method (Action Research). Data collection techniques aspects of the management of the learning process will collect data in the form of information through observation, and tests of mathematical literacy skills then summarized and described in the form of a data matrix. Data were analyzed through qualitative descriptive. The results of the study have been carried out in lectures by applying the RME model in the Basic Concepts of Geometry and Measurement course. Students' mathematical literacy test results also increased. The highest increase in the aspect of context literacy.
