Abstract

Control measures for concrete structures need to be carried out so that deviations can be reduced as much as possible so that damage or decrease in the quality of the planned concrete can be avoided. The Seluma Education Office building was tested for the feasibility of its column and sloof structure based on the request of the BPK RI. Concrete samples were taken from as many as 7 specimens of concrete cylinders using the core drill method (3 samples in the column and 4 samples in the sloof). From the results of the compression test and analysis of the test results, it is known that the average compressive strength of concrete achieved in the field is below the target concrete compressive strength value in the design. Hence, it is necessary to reanalyze the structure using the existing material properties. Structural modeling is carried out to determine the internal forces that occur in the structural elements, as well as the behavior of the structure due to the working load. The results of the structural modeling are used as the basis for designing the cross-sectional dimensions of the structural elements along with the required reinforcement. The results of building reanalysis show that the condition of several columns (KS) and Sloof (SL1) are declared unsafe, so the potential for structural failure in this building appears in extreme conditions that must be taken into account, including earthquakes and full loading conditions. Options for engineering methods that can be done include: changing the function of the building so that the live load that must be borne is reduced and or strengthening structures that are indicated to be unsafe.

Abstract

This study aims to compare structural modeling with the addition of wall elements and without walls with the help of SAP2000 software. The method used in this study is time history analysis using the San Fernando groundmotion data. Based on the modeling that has been done, the participation of the variance mass has reached 90% for structures with walls in mode 278 while without walls in mode 243. The addition of walls in this study resulted in a decrease in the drift value. The average percentage of settlement of each floor is 40.12% for the X direction and 30.26% for the Y direction. The addition of walls can also reduce the period value of the structure, where the structure with walls has a period value of 1.0804 seconds while the structure without walls is 1 ,2016 sec.   Keywords: Building Structure, Infill Wall, Drift, Time History Analysis

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using kaolin on the compressive strength of mortar compared to normal mortar, as well as to identify the optimum percentage of kaolin that yields the highest compressive strength. The research uses an experimental method with references from journals. The test specimens are made using cube molds with dimensions of 5 cm × 5 cm × 5 cm, totaling 100 specimens. Compressive strength tests will be conducted at the ages of 7, 14, 21, and 28 days. The cement replacement variations using kaolin are 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50%. The highest compressive strength value occurred at the 10% kaolin variation on day 28, with an average strength of 23.8 MPa. Compared to normal mortar, which has a strength of 23.6 MPa, the increase in compressive strength with 10% kaolin is minimal. Meanwhile, mortar with more than 20% kaolin shows a decrease in compressive strength compared to normal mortar.

Abstract

Kata kunci: Sistem manajemen mutu, ISO 9001:2015, perusahaan penyedia jasa konstruksi, faktor pendorong, faktor hambatan  Abstract The quality standard used by the construction world is the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The objective of this research was to identify the direction of the implementation development of a quality management system, the driving factors, and the inhibiting factors in the implementation of a quality management system based on ISO 9001:2015 in a road construction service provider companies in Bengkulu City. The population in this research consisted of 12 companies according to the problem boundaries and the research sample consisted of 36 people, which were taken from 3 respondents per company. The study was conducted by distributing questionnaires and then analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis namely validity and reliability test. The results showed that there were 8% of companies had implemented the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system and were certified, 8% of companies were already on the way to implementation, and 84% of companies have not implemented it at all. The main driving factor was the demand to have an ISO certification as a condition for the auction process and the requirements from the Ministry of Public Works. The main constraining factors were the lack of funds and the lack of resources that meet the standards. Keywords: Quality management system, ISO 9001:2015, construction service provider, driving factors, inhibiting factors

Abstract

Bengkulu City is a region with a high risk of tsunami due to its location adjacent to the Indian Ocean and its position in an active subduction zone. The low level of public knowledge regarding disaster mitigation increases the potential for casualties in the event of a tsunami. This community service activity aimed to enhance the understanding, awareness, and preparedness of residents in Pagar Dewa Village, Selebar District, Bengkulu City, regarding tsunami hazards through mitigation-based education and socialization. The implementation methods included socialization (counseling), interactive discussion and dialogue, presentation of evacuation routes, and information on prevention and emergency response. The results showed a significant increase in public knowledge and preparedness, demonstrated by participants’ ability to recognize early tsunami signs and take appropriate evacuation actions. Residents also showed high enthusiasm and emphasized the importance of ongoing training to maintain mitigation awareness. This activity successfully built synergy between the university, local government, and the community in reducing disaster risks in coastal and lowland areas around Bengkulu City. Therefore, tsunami mitigation education is a strategic step toward creating a disaster-resilient community and strengthening readiness for future natural threats.
