Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) Type 2 is a global health problem that is increasing. The prevalence of diabetes continues to increase globally. In 2023, it is estimated that more than 422 million people worldwide are living with diabetes, with the majority of cases being type 2 diabetes. It is estimated to reach 1.3 billion by 2050. The cause of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is lack of physical activity. This study aims to identify the relationship between physical activity and the incidence of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at the Andalas Health Center, Padang City. This study uses a quantitative method with a Descriptive Analytical approach. This study was conducted from August to November 2024 using the Accidental sampling technique on 30 respondents. Data analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between low physical activity and the incidence of Type 2 DM p-value (0.024: p <0.05), This study is expected to provide concrete recommendations for efforts to prevent and treat type 2 diabetes, as well as increase public awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle in reducing the risk of this disease. Abstract

Memasuki usia tua berarti mengalami kemunduran fisik. Lansia biasanya mengalami berbagai masalah kesehatan karena terjadinya perubahan fisik, psikologis, psikososial dan spiritual. Psikologis merupakan faktor penting bagi individu untuk mengontrol terhadap semua kejadian yang dialami oleh lansia. Masalah-masalah psikologis yang terjadi pada lansia salah satunya stres  karena stres merupakan reaksi tubuh kepada kondisi yang menyebabkan perubahan, dan ketegangan emosional. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh terapi guided imagery terhadap penurunan stres pada lansia. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah  pra- eksperiment dengan pendekatan One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Sampel diambil sebanyak 12 orang dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel dengan melakukan wawancara terpimpin menggunakan Geriatric Depression  Scale (GDS) sebelum diberikan terapi guided imagery sebanyak 2 kali dalam seminggu selama 4 minggu. Penelitian dianalisa secara univariat dan bivariat dengan  menggunakan uji statistik paired T-test. Sebelum dilakukan penerapan teknik guided imagery lebih dari separuh (75%) lansia mengalami stress sedang, setelah diberikan teknik guided imagery lebih dari separuh (66,7%) tingkat stress lansia menjadi normal. Hasil uji statistik didapatkan p value 0,000, artinya ada pengaruh terapi guided imagery terhadap penurunan stres pada lansia di Wilayah  Kerja Puskesmas Lubuk Buaya Padang. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terapi guided imagery dapat menurunkan stres pada lansia. Diharapkan petugas di Puskesmas dapat menerapkan terapi guided imagery pada lansia yang mengalami stres.

Abstract

Diabetes Melitus (DM) Tipe 2 merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang semakin meningkat dengan perkiraan mencapai 1,3 miliar pada tahun 2050. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 di Puskesmas Andalas Kota Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Deskriptif Analitik. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan dari Februari hingga Mei 2025 menggunakan teknik Accidental sampling terhadap 30 responden. Analisa data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisa univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada hubungan yang bermakna antara riwayat keluarga dengan kejadian DM Tipe 2 dengan p-value (0,010 : p< 0,05) ,Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara obesitas dengan kejadian DM Tipe p-value (0,000 : p< 0,05), Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara pola makan yang tidak sehat dengan kejadian DM Tipe 2 p-value (0,004 : p< 0,05), Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara aktivitas fisik yang rendah dengan kejadian DM Tipe p-value (0,024 : p< 0,05), Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara jenis kelamin dengan kejadian DM Tipe p-value (0,098 : p< 0,05) dan Tidak Ada hubungan yang bermakna antara stress dengan kejadian DM Tipe p-value (0,418 : p< 0,05). Hasil ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi yang konkret bagi upaya pencegahan dan penanganan diabetes tipe 2, serta meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya pola hidup sehat dalam menurunkan risiko penyakit.

Abstract

Elderly as the final stage of the life cycle is often marked by conditions that are not in accordance with expectations, so that many experience depression. World Health Organization states that about 61.6% of the elderly experience depression. The prevalence of depression in the elderly in West Sumatra is 8.8% and 40% are in nursing homes. One of the non-pharmacological therapies is reminiscence therapy. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing reminiscence therapy on the level of depression in the elderly at PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin in 2023. This type of research is a Quasi experiment with a pre-test and post-test group approach. This research was conducted at PSTW Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin. This research was conducted from March to August 2023. The population was 110 elderly people and the sample was 10 elderly people with Purposive Sampling. The research instrument to measure the level of depression used the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS). The results of the univariate study were obtained before reminiscence therapy, the level of depression in the elderly was 80.0% experiencing mild depression and 20.0% experiencing moderate depression. While after reminiscence therapy, the level of depression in the elderly was 20.0% experiencing mild depression and 80.0% in the normal range. The results of the bivariate study Data analysis using the t-test test, the value of α ≤ 0.05. The results of the study obtained a p value <α with the results of the pre-test and post-test calculations, the p value = 0.000. The results showed that there was a significant difference between the level of depression before and after reminiscence therapy. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence between reminiscence therapy on the level of depression in the elderly at the Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin PSTW in 2023. It is recommended to the head of the PSTW that reminiscence therapy can be one of the programs in overcoming depression in the elderly. Keywords: depression; elderly; reminiscence therapy

Abstract

In Indonesia, 107,673 people (64.25%), consisting of 59,671 people (54.89%) had primary dysmenorrhea and 9,496 people (9.36%) had secondary dysmenorrhea. The impact of dysmenorrhea on adolescents is that it can interfere with learning activities and daily activities. The aim of the study was to determine the difference in the intensity of dysmenorrhea between warm compresses and cold compresses for female students at Baiturrahmah Padang Middle School.This type of research uses quantitative, namely Quasi-experimentalwith a one group pretest posttest design.. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The sample size is 18 respondents and the data obtained was processed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate methods. The results of the Manova test multivariate variables with a significant level of α < 0.05 indicate that the f test has a significance value of 0.000 < α 0.05. It can be seen that the f tests are all significant. The significance value of the Levene test shows that both variables on the pre-test dysmenorrhea scale have a value of f = 6,790 with a significance of 0.005 <0.05. Meanwhile, on the dysmenorrhea post test scale, the value off =5,237 with a significance of 0.013<0.05. Then whatisseenis the Games- Howell test. From the post hoc test, it can be seen the difference between warm compresses and cold compresses, warm compresses are 1.22, while cold compresses are 0.89. the conclusion of the study, there was a significant difference by giving warm compresses and cold compresses to reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea in Baiturrahmah Padang Middle School students that warm compresses were more effective in reducing dysmenorrhea than cold compresses.
