Abstract

Missile is a guided weapon and designed to protect outermost island from a thread of other country. It, commonly, is used as self defense. This research presented surface-to-surface missile in final dive manoeuvre for fixed target. Furthermore, it was proposed manoeuvring based on unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), autopilot system, which needs accuration and minimum both time and thrust of missile while attacking object. This paper introduced pontryagin’s Minimum Principle, which is useable to solve the problem. The numerical solution showed that trajectory of the missile is split it up in three sub-intervals; flight, climbing, and diving. The numerical simulation showed that the missile must climb in order to satisfy the final dive condition and the optimum time of a missile depend on initial condition of the altitude and the terminal velocity

Abstract

Steel processing in large scale industries has several stage namely melting, moulding, fetling, and finishing. The melting process requires such a right temperature particularly in Refining Ladle Furnace (LRF) that is a main point of the process itself. The optimum time of LRF can minimize both production time and electricity in which avoid steel clumping in the next step. This research aims to find the optimum temperature of high carbon steel in the ladle and to gain the relation between rate of carbon composition in steel with heating time using Mamdani Method. The method is also known as min-max method and consists of four stages: form fuzzy set, apply implication function, composition, and defuzzification. The simulation results optimal temperature of high carbon steel stood at between 15300C-15700C and low carbon 15850C-15950C. It shows that the temperature depends on the carbon composition and each grade of liquid temperature.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Dual graph is one form of graph that can only be formed from graphs whose edges do not intersect each other. One of the graphs that can be converted into dual graphs is the antiprism graph Amn . Antiprism graph Amn is a graph that is formed from the absorption of vertices in the prism graph Pmn . One of the operations performed on a graph is finding the metric dimension of the graph. These metric dimensions are looking to find a minimum cardinality value of the graph. This article discusses the metric dimensions of the dual antiprism graph A'm,n. Dimanesion of dual antiprism graph A'm,n is obtained in four conditions namely metric dimension when A'm,2, metric dimension when A'3,n with n ? 3, metric dimension at times A'4,n with n ? 3 , and metric dimensions at times A'm,n with m ? 5 and n ? 3.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper proposes a mathematical model for cholera using optimal control of treatment through quarantine and water sanitation. Cholera is acute diarrhoea caused by Vibrio cholera bacteria infecting the intestinal tract. The analysis related to the spread of this disease is carried out through a mathematical approach. The constructed mathematical model is demonstrated epidemiologically. The proposed optimal control is the treatment of infected individuals during the quarantine period and sanitation, namely environmental hygiene, especially water. This strategy aims to suppress the number of infected individuals and reduce the concentration of bacteria due to cholera disease. To solve the optimal control problem, we employ the 4th-order forward-backward Runge-Kutta method. Based on the simulation results, the number of individuals infected by cholera and the concentration of bacteria decreased significantly. Moreover, the proposed method can transfer infected to recovered individuals faster than an optimal control treatment.

Abstract

This research studied ship motion control by considering four degrees of freedom (DoF): yaw, roll, sway, and surge in which comprehensive mathematical modeling forming a nonlinear differential equation. Furthermore, this research also investigated solutions for fundamental yet challenging steering problems of ship maneuvering using advanced control method: Disturbance Compensating Model Predictive Control (DC-MPC) method, which based on Model Predictive Control (MPC). The DC-MPC allows optimizing a compensated control then consider sea waves as the environmental disturbances. Those sea waves influence the control and also becomes one of the constraints for the system. The simulation compared the varying condition of Horizon Prediction (Np) and another method showing that the DC-MPC can manage well the given disturbances while maneuvering in certain Horizon Prediction. The results revealed that the ship is stable and follows the desired trajectory
