Abstract

In the analysis of the suitability of residential land locations around the Balongan industrial area, some provisions must be taken into account, one of which is land suitability, where with land suitability analysis, it is possible to determine the level of suitability of residential land that is suitable for use as a residence. To determine the limited level of land suitability by using variables determining land suitability, which includes slope, rainfall, soil texture, and land use. The analysis consisted of 3 (three) stages. The first stage used nearest-neighbor analysis to explain settlement distribution patterns. In the second stage, an analysis of the suitability of residential land was carried out using overlapping techniques related to physical environmental data based on selected variables for residential areas. The third stage is preparing recommendations for residential development locations around the Balongan industrial area with an overlay analysis based on parameters, namely parameters for protected rice fields (LSD), sustainable food agricultural land (LP2B), and the spatial pattern plan for Indramayu Regency for 2011-2031. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that there are three types of settlements around KPI Balongan. The ideal location for residential land to be developed based on land suitability analysis and spatial pattern planning is in Juntikebon Village, Sudimampir Village, with a settlement pattern that can be developed into medium and large types.

Abstract

The active participation of all community members in managing waste in the RW 17 neighborhood of Jariendah Village, Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency, is like an "oasis" of community-based waste management in 2010. It has become an inspiration for all levels of society to gain experience in waste management. However, one of the partners' problems includes data and recording problems that have not been properly structured. For this reason, the dedication to the partners we appoint is the need to improve the efficiency of digital-based waste management. Digitalization in waste management is important for partners to increase effectiveness in recording transactions, reporting changes in the price of waste commodities, and increasing customer data. The method chosen for implementing Community Service to solve this institutional problem is the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method and mentoring, which consists of five stages of activities. At the end of this service activity, UPK has a waste management application. Users can already use waste management applications that benefit from data and information for community-based waste management activity programs.

Abstract

The occupation of paddy fields especially in the sub-urban areas of cities. The Yogyakarta Urban Area (KPY) as a National center activity has its magnet for the surrounding area, the physical development of the city forms the conurbation of the City of Yogyakarta with the surrounding satellite areas which is marked by the development of industrial activities, trade in services, education, and settlements. The conversion of agricultural land is unavoidable, especially in sub-urban areas or administrative area transitions, but by estimating the vulnerable paddy fields it is hoped that it can consider the benefits and impacts produced after the conversion of paddy fields. This study aims to analyze the level of threat of paddy fields in the Yogyakarta urban area. Qualitative descriptive approach methods and spatial analysis techniques are based on village administrative units. Analysis of the vulnerability index of paddy fields using GIS (Geographic Information System) analysis techniques which are divided into a level of vulnerability index and an index of disturbance level. The results of the study identified the distribution of paddy fields which were categorized as having low, medium, and high levels of vulnerability and disturbance levels. Then a typological analysis of the Threat level was produced, a low hazard level of +17.7 ha (0.37%), a medium hazard level of +3,741.3 ha (78.45%), and a high hazard level of +1,009.7 ha (21 .17%), the existence of rice fields that have a moderate to high level of threat tends to be scattered around shopping centers, educational centers, near settlements and around the outer ring road corridors.
