Abstract

Program pengenalan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) dengan kapasitas 200 Wp, yang dilakukan oleh Program Studi Teknik Elektro Universitas Bung Hatta, ditujukan kepada para siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Pariangan, Kabupaten Tanah Datar. Tujuan utama dari program ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kesadaran siswa mengenai energi terbarukan. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari dua tahap, yaitu persiapan dan pelaksanaan, yang mencakup penyampaian materi dan demonstrasi langsung. Berdasarkan hasil kuesioner awal, rata-rata pengetahuan siswa berada di angka 62, yang kemudian meningkat signifikan menjadi 77 setelah mengikuti sesi pemberian materi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa program tersebut efektif dalam memperluas wawasan siswa. Selain itu, demonstrasi PLTS mengungkapkan tingginya minat siswa terhadap penggunaan energi terbarukan. Dalam demonstrasi tersebut, PLTS 1 mampu menyalakan beban AC sebesar 37 W dan beban DC sebesar 87 W, sementara PLTS 2 mampu menyalakan beban AC sebesar 35 W dan beban DC sebesar 89 W. Program ini berhasil tidak hanya dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan teoritis siswa tetapi juga memberikan pengalaman praktis dalam penggunaan teknologi energi terbarukan, sehingga memberikan wawasan yang berharga dan memotivasi siswa untuk lebih jauh mengeksplorasi bidang energi terbarukan.

Abstract

Sejak tahun 2015 Depertemen Agama Republik Indonesia memberikan stimulasi pada Siswa Madrasah untuk meningkatkan kreatifitasnya. Salah satu bentuk kegiatan adalah Kompetisi Robot Madrasah Indonesia. Kompetisi ini melombakan Robot Berkaki dan Robat Beroda hasil karya siswa madrasah seluruh Indonesia sesuai dengan tema yang relevan setiap tahunnya. Sampai tahun 2018 ini sudah diselenggarakan 4 kali ajang Kompetisi Robot Madrasah Indonesia. Universitas Bung Hatta mempunyai Unit Kegiatan Mahasiswa Information Communication and Technology (UKMICT). Salah satu kegiatan UKM-ICT adalah kelompok Robot yang pusatnya adalah di Fakultas Teknologi Industri. Sampai saat ini UKM-ICT Robotik termasuk salah satu UKM yang aktif di tingkat Fakultasi (FTI).  Dengan kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) dan tim UKM-ICT Robotik dapat mensosialisasikan keberadaannya Madrasah Aliyah. Abstract

Electrical installation is a vital component in supporting the function and operation of a building, especially in residential facilities such as dormitories. Installations that do not meet standards can cause various problems such as power outages, overloading, and potential fire hazards. This study aims to analyze the electrical system in the Type 54 Dormitory Instructor of the West Sumatra Shipping Polytechnic based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and General Requirements for Electrical Installations (PUIL) 2011. The results of the analysis show that the total installed power is 106,992 Watts using a 3-phase MCCB 224-320A with an incoming cable size from LVMDP NYY 4 x 120 mm². The incoming electrical power from PLN is 82.5 kVA (125A). DP.PLT 1 total load is 35,664 Watts using a 3-phase MCCB 100A with a cable size of NYY 4 x 25 mm². DP.PLT 2 total load of 35,664 Watts using 3-phase 100A MCCB with NYY cable size 4 x 25 mm². DP.PLT 3 total load of 35,664 Watts using 3-phase 100A MCCB with NYY cable size 4 x 25 mm². Although the installation has been running, the results of the study show that the electrical system has not fully met the criteria for reliability, safety, and energy efficiency. Therefore, evaluation and improvement of the system are needed to ensure safe and sustainable operational continuity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the performance of the backup power system (emergency generator) at the West Sumatra Maritime Polytechnic. The reliability of the electricity supply is very important to support the continuity of educational activities and institutional operations. A backup power system is needed to anticipate power outages that can hamper these activities. This study was conducted using the method of literature study, field observation, interviews, documentation, and analysis of technical data obtained. That generator 1 received a load of 172.76 kVA (138.21 kW) and generator 2 of 294.62 kVA (235.70 kW), with a larger load distribution on Generator 2. The demand factor was 35.37% (generator 1) and 58.92% (generator 2), respectively, while the load factor was 0.35368 and 0.58924. These values indicate that the actual load has not reached the maximum capacity of the generator, so there is still a power reserve available. The utilization rate of generator 1 is 28.29% and generator 2 is 47.14%, which means both are still operating within safe limits, even though generator 2 is utilized more. During 5 hours of operation, fuel consumption is 225 liters and 255 liters, respectively, proportional to the size of the load carried. Voltage drops are still within the tolerance limit (?5%), namely 2.53 Volts on generator 1 and 2.40 Volts on generator 2. Power losses in the 360 mm² NYFGbY cable are also relatively small, namely 4.164 kW and 3.76 kW, which indicates the efficiency of the electrical system installation. Thus, the existing backup power system is still reliable and efficient, although further evaluation is needed for load distribution and performance optimization.

Abstract

The electric power transmission system plays an important role in maintaining the continuity and quality of power delivery from generation plants to consumers. This study aims to analyze the magnitude of power losses and voltage drops on the 150 kV transmission line connecting the Padang Industrial Park Substation and the Lubuk Alung Substation. The method used is a descriptive quantitative approach through manual calculations based on 24-hour operational data collected on January 4, 2025. The main parameters observed include load current, sending-end voltage, line length (13.7 km), and conductor specifications of ACSR 240/40 mm. The analysis results show that the maximum power loss occurred at 19:00 WIB, amounting to 249.91 kW or 0.46% of the sending power, while the minimum power loss occurred at 07:00 WIB, amounting to 75.78 kW or 0.25%. The total energy loss over 24 hours was recorded at 2885.94 kWh, with an average power loss of 118.99 kW (0.32%). The maximum voltage drop occurred at 19:00 WIB at 1,077.87 volts (0.71%), while the average voltage drop was 734.41 volts (0.49%) relative to the nominal voltage. All values of power loss and voltage drop are below the 3% threshold according to SPLN No. 72 of 1987, indicating that the transmission line operates efficiently and reliably.

Abstract

Electrical energy needs a very significant increase every year and according to the supply voltage to provide enough quality electricity supply. The increase in energy demand is also followed by the demand for reactive power due to increased inductive loads. PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan is one of the users of quite large inductive loads, because almost at every point of the oil drilling location there are inductive loads installed including transformers and induction motors. In this writing, the author tries to briefly describe the use of bank capacitors used at PT. Pertamina Hulu Rokan. From the data and research results that have been carried out, it can be concluded that, with the addition of bank capacitors to the electrical system at PT.Pertamina Hulu Rokan it can help compensate for the lack of reactive power in the electrical system which is currently being used at PT.Pertamina Hulu Rokan

Abstract

Loss is the amount of energy lost in the process of distributing electrical energy from the substation to consumers. PT PLN (Persero) ULP Painan losses in the second trimester of 2022 are cumulative with a total value of 3,627,350 kWh. Meanwhile, non-technical losses contributed a total kWh with a value of 841,032 kWh. Therefore, it is necessary to optimize the replacement of kWh meters to reduce non-technical losses by forming an independent replacement team and implementing a routine kWh meter replacement schedule, evaluating Subscription Data that Needs Attention (DLPD) to get Work Orders (WO) that are right on target, establishing communication. both with internal parties (Outsourced Personnel) to obtain accurate WO and implement the SOP for replacing kWh meters in the field. After efforts to optimize kWh replacement, the total loss for the third semester of 2022 was 273,096 kWh, a decrease of 567,936 kWh from the second trimester of 2022. If converted into Rp. 818,324,136 for the second trimester of 2022 while for the third trimester of 2022 Rp. 265,722,408 and savings of Rp. 552,601,728.00. The reduction in non-technical losses above was contributed by the achievement of kWh meter replacement of 49,140 kWh. Saving rupiah obtained from obtaining a kWh meter replacement of Rp. 47,813,220.00, therefore efforts to reduce non-technical losses by optimizing kWh meter replacement can be said to help reduce non-technical losses

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis nilai tahanan pembumian, tegangan sentuh, dan tegangan langkah pada Gardu Induk 150 kV Lubuk Alung sesuai standar IEC 60479. Metode penelitian meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, wawancara, dan pengumpulan data teknis. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif melalui perhitungan nilai tahanan pembumian dan tegangan berdasarkan berat badan 50 kg dan 70 kg serta waktu gangguan 0,1–3 detik. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan tahanan pembumian (Rg) sebesar 0,485 Ω dengan ρ = 71,44 Ω·m. Tegangan sentuh berkisar 2,82–5,25 V, sedangkan tegangan langkah 11,26–20,96 V, seluruhnya di bawah batas aman 30 V dan 25 V. Dengan demikian, sistem pembumian Gardu Induk Lubuk Alung dinyatakan aman dan memenuhi standar IEC 60479..

Abstract

Dalam jaringan distribusi 20 kV sering terjadi gangguang, salah satunya adalah gangguan arus hubung singkat. Perhitungan dilakukan terhadap gangguan satu fasa, dua fasa, dan tiga fasa pada titik 25%, 50%, dan 75% dari panjang saluran distribusi, serta gangguan pada trafo distribusi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa koordinasi antara recloser dan FCO sudah berjalan dengan baik. Pada titik gangguan Pada titik gangguan 25% di 0,4 kms, memiliki gangguan 1 fasa 11.060,34 A dengan, 2 fasa 24.673,07 A, 3 fasa 52.486,36 A, dengan waktu trip recloser 0,1 milidetik, titik gangguan 50% di 0,8 kms, memiliki gangguan 1 fasa 5530,17 A, dengan. 2 fasa 12.336,53 A, 3 fasa 24.568,08 A, , dengan waktu trip recloser 0,03 milidetik, dan titik gangguan 75% di 1,2 kms, memiliki gangguan 1 fasa 3686,78 A dengan. 2 fasa 8224,35 A, 3 fasa 16.495,71 A, dengan waktu trip recloser 0,01 milidetik Pada gangguan trafo distribusi, hanya memiliki gangguan 1 fasa 0,4402 A, dengan nilai arus gangguan sebesar itu dan FCO rating 3 A, maka FCO bekerja lebih cepat, Penyetelan Arus Pickup dan TMS Memenuhi Standar SPLN Penyetelan arus pickup recloser dengan delay time 1,2 detik, 0,3 detik, dan 0,1 detik serta nilai TMS telah disesuaikan dengan standar SPLN 64-1:1992. Penyesuaian ini memastikan bahwa recloser tidak trip sebelum FCO saat terjadi gangguan downstream, sehingga koordinasi proteksi tetap terjaga.
