Abstract

Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan dan Sikap, Penyakit Tuberkulosis, Teori Keperawatan  ABSTRACT Based on the BPS report, Tuberculosis (TB) cases in Samarinda City have increased. In 2021 it reached 1,456 cases, in 2022 it became 2,167 cases and in 2023 it became 4,119 cases, where Sambutan District in the 2015-2017 period was ranked 9th out of 10 districts with TB cases, then in the 2018-2020 period TB cases in Sambutan District increased to 6th out of 10 districts with the highest TB cases. Community Service Activities (PKM), and health education with lecture methods using the Lydia E. Hall Theory approach includes information about TB disease, factors for therapy failure and reasons why TB treatment must be completed, how to respond to TB, and the role of the community in detecting TB and increasing the success of TB patient therapy. There is an increase in public knowledge and attitudes towards TB disease. The majority of knowledge was moderate at 51.4% before education was carried out and after education was carried out in PKM activities, became a high majority of 48.5%. The majority of people believe that TB can be cured by regular and complete treatment and strongly disagree with avoiding people/people with TB. Community service activities have been proven to increase public knowledge about TB and public attitudes towards TB sufferers. This can increase public awareness of the impact of TB in terms of health, economy, society, and culture. Keywords: Knowledge and Attitude, Tuberculosis Disease, Nursing Theory

Abstract

fisheries are the mainstay of the coastal community's economy, and Sondong fishing gear is still commonly used. Although Sondong is considered effective, it raises ecological concerns because it risks damaging the seabed habitat and produces high bycatch. This study aims to describe fishing communities' perceptions of Sondong fishing gear regarding its effectiveness and impact on fish resources and the environment. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with purposive sampling of active fishermen in Sungsang, conducted in November 2024. The results show that fishermen have a strong understanding of Sondong because it has been widely used and passed down informally. They perceive Sondong as an effective and profitable tool, though this perception is changing as catches decline. The ecological impact has not been widely recognized, and regulations tend to be rejected due to economic dependence. As fishermen's perceptions are more oriented toward the economy than ecology, an educational approach is needed to encourage the transition to more sustainable fishing gear.

Abstract

Rivers are vital freshwater ecosystems that play an essential role in maintaining environmental balance and supporting aquatic life. The benthic and planktonic communities serve as bioindicators of water quality and form integral components of the aquatic food web. This study aims to analyze the structure of benthos and plankton communities in the Jemile River, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra, and to evaluate their relationship with water quality parameters. The findings revealed the presence of Baetidae larvae, indicating clean and well-oxygenated waters, alongside Chironomidae, which tolerate organically enriched substrates. Among plankton, Brachionus was found as an indicator of eutrophic conditions, and Gyrosigma served as a primary producer. The diversity of organisms observed suggests habitat quality variations influenced by domestic, agricultural, and mining activities around the river. This study highlights the complex ecological dynamics of the Jemile River and underscores the need for continuous monitoring to support sustainable water resource management.
