Abstract

Studies related to workers across generations have caught the attention of many researchers. For the first time in history, the company is inhabited by workers from various generations to be able to work side by side. How workers in each generation interact with and influence the organization they work for is still an interesting research gap to study. However, the studies examining employee engagement in the Baby Boomers generation, X generation and Y generation in transportation companies and logistics delivery services  are still limited. Therefore, this study aims to conduct research on the differences in employee engagement in the Baby Boomers generation, X generation and Y generation in transportation and logistics delivery service companies in Semarang. To fulfill this goal, the study was conducted on workers who were grouped by generation according to age or year of birth. To these respondents, employee engagement was measured which was then carried out a comparative test to determine the significance of differences in employee engagement in each generation. The results of the statistical tests carried out show that statistically it can be proven that workers from the Baby Boomer generation, X generation and Y generation have different employee engagement

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to analyze the impact of the covid-19 pandemic on E-commerce business in Indonesia and recovery strategies in the era of new normal. This study uses qualitative method. Collecting data using observations, interviews and focus group discussion with research subjects including E-commerce business actors, logistics practitioners and employees in shipping services companies. The result showed that the covid-19 pandemic had an impact on E-commerce businesses. There was decline in income for 85,83% of E-commerce business actors. The decline in smoothness distribution occurred in almost all province in Indonesia.

Abstract

PT. Arindo Jaya Mandiri is a freight forwarder company. PT. Arindo Jaya Mandiri must provide the best service to meet customer needs. However, the process of sending export goods often experiences delays so that consumers complain. This research was carried out with the aim of knowing the flow of export goods delivery and the critical points that cause delays, knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors, and knowing the Fault Tree Analysis method. The method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The research results show that the export goods delivery flow starts from the stuffing flow to the payment flow. However, obstacles that influence such as human error, document discrepancies, natural disasters, and the fleet. The Fault Tree Analysis method is used to analyze the causes of delays in delivery of the highest priority goods, namely the fleet. The conclusion is that PT. Arindo Jaya Mandiri sends export goods without any reference so the company only carries out work according to custom. Delivery of export goods is carried out by creating Standard Operating Procedures

Abstract

Inefficiencies in the record management system can delay document retrieval and reduce overall productivity. This study analyzes and aims to optimize the record management system at PT BGR Logistik Indonesia, DKI Jakarta Branch, through the implementation of the 5S method: Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set in Order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Shitsuke (Sustain). The findings reveal that the current manual system hinders effective document handling, compounded by limited human resources and lack of training. Implementing 5S is expected to enhance organization, minimize waste, and improve efficiency. The study recommends digitalization, staff training, environmental improvements, provision of handling tools, and regular evaluations.
