Abstract

This study describes the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers Indonesia (AIMI) as an NGO that has built social movements to support breast feeding and nursing mothers in Indonesia. AIMI as a socio-political actor shapes the perception and behaviour of society to ensure the maternity right that has been recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO). This research uses qualitative-descriptive method with inductive approach. The data obtained through the online media content analysis, interviews, and literature study. It concludes thatfacebook became instrument of internalization of ideas, the dissemination of ideas, and claims of truth for AIMI where: 1) Breast milk is the best food for infants, 2) nursing is a baby and mother’s rights that should be supported through government policy and infrastructure, and 3) breastfeeding barriers experienced by mothers can be overcome with well established methods and knowledge. AIMI’s digital community was createdinteraction in the form of presents text and images that lead to perceptions and behaviour indirectly strengthen the enactment of Government Regulation No. 33 in 2012 and 2013 Permenkes No. 15. The online publicationhas involved AIMI campaigns, educational information, socialization, training and consulting through facebook or discussion service with Lactation Counselor.Penelitian ini menggambarkan Asosiasi Ibu Menyusui Indonesia (AIMI) sebagai LSM yang membangun gerakan sosial untuk mendukung pemberian ASI dan hak ibu menyusui di Indonesia.AIMI sebagai aktor sosial-politik membentuk persepsi dan perilaku masyarakat untuk menjamin hak maternitas yang telah diakui oleh Organisasi Kesahatan Dunia (WHO). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif-deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Datadiperoleh melalui analisis konten media daring, wawancara, dan studi literatur.Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan facebookmenjadiinstrumen internalisasi ide, penyebaran gagasan, dan klaim kebenaran AIMIdi mana: 1) ASI merupakan makanan terbaik bagi bayi, 2) menyusui merupakan hak bayi dan ibu yang harus didukung melalui kebijakan dan infrastruktur, dan 3) kendala menyusui dapat diatasi dengan metode yang tepat dan pengetahuan yang mapan.Komunitas digital AIMI menghadirkan interaksi dalam bentuk teks dan gambar yang mengarah pada persepsi dan perilaku yang secara tidak langsung menguatkan pemberlakuan Peraturan Pemerintah No 33 Tahun 2012 dan Permenkes No 15 Tahun 2013. AIMI melakukan publikasi daring meliputi kampanye,informasi edukatif, sosialisasi pelatihan, dan konsultasi melalui diskusi facebook atau layanan Konselor Laktasi.

Abstract

AbstrakBerdasarkan hasil exploratory research yang dilakukan oleh peneliti, ditemukan data awal bahwa kepuasan pembaca dalam membaca situs-situs Islam beraneka ragam. Dari beberapa responden yang peneliti wawancara secara acak, didapat data awal bahwa setelah mereka membaca situs Islam, ada yang mengatakan bahwa pemahaman mereka terhadap sebuah konsep membuat mereka tidak puas dan lebih bingung. Penelitian ini meneliti satu media namun menggunakan subyek penelitian di dua kalangan. Pada umumnya, penelitian diskrepansi kepuasan membaca dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua media dan satu subyek penelitian. Tingkat pendidikan merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi diskrepansi. Penelitian  ini menggunakan  pendekatan  Uses and  Gratifications, yaitu  suatu pendekatan yang lebih berorientasi pada studi khalayak  dan jamak digunakan pada penelitian  yang berkaitan dengan khalayak. Metode yang  digunakan  adalah  dengan menggunakan metode survey dengan dibantu kuesioner sebagai instrumen risetnya.Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pendidikan memang mempengaruhi diskrepansi kepuasan membaca. Semakin tinggi tingkat pendidikan menyebabkan tingkat diskrepansi makin tinggi, hal itu terlihat dari beberapa data kategori motif dimana kepuasan dosen dalam membaca eramuslim.com ditempatkan pada angka kepuasan kategori sangat rendah. Ada tiga item yang menunjukkan bahwa kepuasan dosen terhadap eramuslim.com sangat rendah yaitu pada item pernyataan eramuslim.com digunakan untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang Islam (42,1 %), item pernyataan eramuslim.com digunakan untuk mengetahui perkembangan dunia Islam( 41,78 %) dan item menjadikan eramuslim.com sebagai pilihan media untuk berinteraksi bersama-sama dengan teman/ kolega/saudara ( 43,57%). Di kalangan mahasiswa kepuasan terendah terletak pada item responden membaca eramuslim.com untuk menambah pengetahuan tentang Islam (angka kepuasan 59,7%).Kata Kunci: diskrepansi, kepuasan membaca, media online  AbstractBased on the results of exploratory research conducted by researchers found preliminary data that the reader satisfaction in reading Islamic sites is different. Abstract

Water resources management is a socio-political issue where various interests influence the policy on the protection and utilization of water resources. This research wants to know the government's policies and efforts in protecting water resources amid the rapid industrialization of tourism, along with conflicts due to the use of water resources from a political ecology perspective. This study uses descriptive qualitative research, data collection methods through depth interviews, observation, and documentation. This study shows that the efforts of the Batu City Government in realizing the protection of water resources are not proportional to the acceleration of the conversion of forest and agricultural land functions to support the sustainability of water resources due to the rapid growth of the tourism industry. It can be seen from the inconsistency of policy products, the imbalance in the amount of the budget between the commercialization of land (tourism), and the lack of efforts to conserve springs. As a result, there was resistance from the community in the struggle for access to water resources. Therefore, it is necessary to affirm the boundaries of the utilization of water resources supporting areas, transparency of the sustainability of water resources, and disclosure of information to the public regarding the process of tourism development plans undertaken by investors to facilitate supervision by the public.

Abstract

Keberadaan informasi publik yang terbuka dan pemenuhan hak masyarakat untuk mengakses informasi pemerin-tah yang diperuntukkan untuk publik merupakan ciri penting pemerintahan demokratis yang menjunjung tinggi kedaulatan rakyat. Pelibatan dan tanggung jawab kepada rakyat sebagai pemegang mandat hanya bisa dilakukan melalui keterbukaan yang ditandai salah satunya melalui penyediaan akses informasi pemerintah.Undang-Undang No 14 Tahun 2008 tentang Keterbukaan Informasi Publik (UU KIP) menjamin hak masyarakat untuk mendapatkan akses informasi dan mendorong keterbukaan pada badan publik atau pemerintah. Seluruh informasi tentang aktivitas badan publik, selain yang dikecualikan Undang-Undang, sejak UU tersebut disahkan, wajib dibuka kepada masyarakat. Masyarakat pun kini bisa mengawasi dan memantau aktivitas badan publik. Melalui keterbukaan informasi, masyarakat diharapkan dapat mendorong transparansi dan akuntabilitas badan publik, dan lebih jauh lagi berpartisipasi aktif dalam perumusan kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan kepentingan publik (Mendel,2004)Sesuai dengan amanat UU KIP, setelah dua tahun ditetapkan, maka badan publik di seluruh Indonesia wajib melaksanakan pengelolaan dan pelayanan informasi agar masyarakat dapat mendapatkan akses seluas-luasnya dengan cara yang mudah dan terjangkau. Namun, implementasi UU KIP dalam keseharian kegiatan layanan pub-lik lembaga pemerintah bukan hal yang mudah. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk meneliti sejauh mana implementasi atau penerapan UU KIP. Tahun 2014 ini adalah tepat enam tahun sejak UU Keterbukaan Informasi Publik disahkan. Harapannya tentu kota dan kabupaten khususnya di Jawa Timur sudah mampu mengimplementasikan UU ini dengan sebaik-baiknya.Sehingga perwu-judan masyarakat yang mendambakan good governance bisa terpenuhi haknya untuk memperoleh informasi dari badan publik yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini akan mengambil dua kota sebagai subyek penelitian yaitu implemen-tasi UU KIP di Pemerintah Kota Malang dan di Kota Kediri. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing kota baik Kediri maupun Malang, masing-masing me-miliki best practices dalam mengimplementasikan UU KIP no 14/2008. Best practices yang dilakukan adalah melakukan pemahaman holistik terhadap UU KIP 14/2008. Selain itu juga mengupayakan optimalisasi imple-mentasi transparansi, akuntabilitas dan partisipasi publik dengan baik. Adapun hambatan yang sering menjadi kendala dalam pelaksanaan meliputi keterbatasan kuantitas dan kualitas SDM, tidak ada standar informasi publik yang jelas, gangguan kestabilan jaringan dan masih lemahnya koordinasi antara satuan kerja.

Abstract

Public speaking merupakan kegiatan yang sangat penting, khususnya bagi generasi muda milenial. Penguatan etika kepribadian dan karakter siswa juga bisa dioptimalkan melalui pengembangan softskill, salah satunya adalah melalui public speaking. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu peserta mencapai efektivitas dan kesuksesan di semua aspek kehidupan pribadi dan kehidupan kerja, khususnya dalam hal kompetensi komunikasi. Untuk mewujudkan hal tersebut, tim pengabdi membuat program workshop, lomba public speaking dan pendampingan berkala melalui program magang di studio radio UMM FM. Hasil dari pengabdian ini berdasarkan hasil evaluasi pelaksanaan program pengabdian, peserta secara umum mampu berbicara dengan percaya diri ketika diminta berbicara di depan kelas setelah mendapatkan materi. Peserta juga mampu menunjukkan sikap sesuai etika ketika mempraktekkan public speaking. Dari hasil pengabdian ini terpilih lima siswa yang memiliki bakat dan potensi dalam bidang public speaking dan mereka kemudian mendapat kesempatan untuk program magang di Radio UMM FM.

Abstract

Media bisa melakukan dua strategi dalam agenda setting. Yaitu melakukan framing atau melakukan black out. Operasi black out media melibatkan scenario tertentu untuk ‘menenggelamkan’ berita tertentu. Namun berdasarkan kaidah jurnalistik, pemberitaan harus tetap diberitakan dengan cara-cara profesionalisme. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk meneliti isi media pasca Reuni 212. Peneliti menganalisis dengan pendekatan ilmiah sesuai kajian content analysis dalam ilmu komunikasi, seperti apa media cetak dan media online (portal berita online) arus utama mengkonstruksikan beritanya dalam konteks pasca kejadianReuni 212. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan bahwa jika detik.com dan okezone.com dalam menyajikan pemberitaan belum bisa menjalankan profesionalisme sebagai jurnalis karena masih ditemui unsur berita yang tidak lengkap. Detik.com dan okezone.com dalam menyajikan pemberitaan masih memihak dan belum bisa bersikap netral. Fenomena Talking Journalism dan fenomena Pseudo-Journalism dalam pemberitaan di portal berita online ditemukan dalam penelitian ini. Jurnalisme semu atau dikenal sebagai pseudo journalism memanfaatkan sumber berita dari satu sisi saja dan tidak cover both sides, padahal kaidah jurnalistik memastikan bahwa berita itu kredibel jika memiliki minimal dua narasumber. Abstract

The phenomenon of the artist off the Veil in some time ther last became a topic of conversation in the media, was no exception in the television media. One of celebrity in Indonesia, Rina Nose, suddenly took off the veil she has been wearing the last few years. Impressions of infotainment offers the meaning that action ther is Nose Rina action is sad or concern. Based on these problems, researchers want to find out what kind of audience acceptance against the related phenomenon of infotainment news footage off the headscarf artist Rina Nose.  There are a lot of messages that are displayed through related cases Rina infotainment news Nose. Number of messages cannot be removed from the question of the multiplicity of viewpoints used media. The message has more than one potential readings. Through ther study researchers will be able to find out where the audience has a dominant hegemonic position, negotiated reading and oposisional, where the designation cannot be separated from the background to the life of each subject research. This research uses the research methods analysis of reception using the qualitative approach with in-depth interview data collection techniques. Ther research is expected to be able to give a new perspective on development-related issues of the current mass media through a scientific approach. Impressions of infotainment construct women who take off Jilbab with negative construction.  The results of ther research are found subject CP (veiled non cottage) and BN (veiled-off veil-veiled again) belonging to the dominant hegemonic subject reading, DR. (not veiled) included in the oppositional reading and IM subjects (off the veil) including negotiated reading for refusing. Decisions they refuse/accept/agree/disagree against the concept of meaning offered by media influenced by their background educational background in religious families, the experience of living in a veiled and the influence of peer group them. Based on the results of the research it is known that audiences receive the concept of the artist off the Jilbab in a variety of types of acceptance. The subject that comes from a group of veiled non pondok pesantren and a subject that never had the experience of taking off the veil before masukd in the dominant hegemonic category is influenced by the background of religious education in a family that was good enough and too influenced by experiences/mistakes of her jilbab. While the subject of the entry in the category of oppositional reading are those who reject the concept of social group comes from the infotainment not veiled because he considered that her experiences during ther time is not a problem although not veiled Muslim women. While the subject of the entry category negotiated reading is a subject that includes Muslim social group but is experiencing the same phenomenon with artist Rina Nose. The subject was influenced by her background as a person who has the principle of free and tend to be liberal.

Abstract

The partner of the community service program is the Social Services Council (MPS) at the Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership in Malang Regency. The problem faced by MPS is the lack of updated information about MPS performance through the website of Muhammadiyah Regional Head (PDM). Based on the results of interviews with MPS administrators, this board division has not been able to carry out efforts to disseminate information using technological progress. There were lack of human resources to enhance the role and function of social service organizations in providing data and information. The optimalization of management of an organization's website is absolutely necessary as part of strengthening the image and spread of information. Thus, training on website management is a strategy to answer public needs as well as an effort to strengthen the organizational governance of MPS in Malang Regency. Technically, this training involved: 1) the IT administrator who responsible structurally in the board of management 2) the community service team of UMM as the speakers that internalized the subjects of organizational management, technical news writing and online media management. The results of the training on managing the MPS website have reached the target. MPS administrators has been able to collect and categorize data for online publication. This is indicated by 1) their ability to compile news texts based on the value of public interests and needs; 2) the ability to collect data and information previously obtained to be edited as website material; and 3) the ability to update the website appearance and link with the admin who manage the PDM website.
