Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the teacher’s perception of the process of supervising, aspects of being supervised, techniques used in supervision. The population as well as the research sample were all teachers at SMKN 2 in Guguak District, totaling 52 teachers. The research instrument uses a questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale with five alternative answers: always, often, sometimes, rarely and never. Then the data were analyzed using the average formula (mean). The results showed that the teacher’s perception of the school principal’s supervision process was well implemented where the average score was 3.1. The teacher’s perception of aspects supervised by the principal is also carried out quite well where the average score is 3.1. Furthermore, the teacher’s perception of the supervision technique used is also quite good where the average score is 3.1. In conclusion, the implementation of supervising school principals at SMKN 2 in Guguak District has been carried out quite well.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the lecturers’ perceptions of the implementation of the functions of the chairman of STKIP Abdi Pendidikan in terms of administrators and managers. This type of research is quantitative using descriptive methods. The research population is also the research sample, which consists of 36 lecturers and educational staff. The research instrument is a questionnaire that has been tested for its validity and reliability. The results showed that the lecturer’s perception of the implementation of the chairperson’s function was in the good category with an average score of 3.87. The lecturer’s perception of the implementation of the chairman’s manager function is in the good category with an average score of 3.83. So, the lecturer’s perception of the implementation of the administrator and manager functions of the head of STKIP YAP is in the good category with an average of 3.85.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh beberapa permasalahan dalam pembelajaran membaca cerpen di sekolah. Pertama, banyak siswa kurang mampu menemukan gagasan pokok dan detail penting dalam cerpen sehingga pemahaman mereka terhadap isi teks masih rendah. Kedua, siswa cenderung hanya membaca sekilas tanpa strategi membaca yang terarah, sehingga makna yang diperoleh tidak mendalam. Ketiga, dalam proses pembelajaran, guru belum secara optimal menggunakan metode membaca yang sistematis untuk membantu siswa memahami teks secara bertahap. Kondisi ini menyebabkan keterampilan membaca cerpen siswa belum berkembang secara maksimal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan efektivitas penggunaan metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test) terhadap keterampilan membaca cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah one grup pretest-postterst design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Padang. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Padang yang berjumlah 27 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor menggunakan metode PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test) pada siswa kelas XI SMA Padang. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut ini. Pertama, keterampilan membaca cerpen sesudah menggunakan metode PQRST siswa kelas XI Padang memperoleh nilai rata-rata 86,00 dengan klasifikasi 86-95% yaitu baik sekali (BS). Dengan kata lain, integrasi penggunaan metode PQRST terhadap keterampilan membaca cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA Padang cukup bagus dan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Abstract

This research discusses ontology, epistemology and axiology in higher education education management in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Descriptive qualitative research methods and literature studies were used in this research. The descriptive method is a problem solving procedure that is investigated by describing the condition of the research subject/object. Through this approach, it is hoped that we will be able to provide deeper, more comprehensive answers, not just surface and theoretical proofs, in accordance with the research objectives to be achieved. The discussion starts from the understanding of ontology, the relationship between ontology and education and the role of ontology in education management, understanding epistemology, the role of epistemology in education management in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0. Next, understanding axiology, the role of axiology in educational management in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. Conclusions, ontology, epistemology and axiology in higher education education management in the era of industrial revolution 4.0, we form a solid philosophical foundation for achieving a relevant and competitive educational vision.
