Abstract

The purpose of this study were to (1) describe the ability of students to determine the sentence facts through intensive reading class X-SMAK SMK Padang, (2) describe the ability of students to determine the sentence opinions through intensive reading class X-SMAK SMK Padang, (3) describes the differences of students' ability to distinguish between fact and opinion sentences through intensive reading class X-SMAK SMK Padang. The data of this research is a test answer sheet that was held on December 6, 2012. Tests to be objective about the amount of about 30 grains of matter, which consists of 15 questions and 15 questions facts opinions. The data sources of this study are writing as a source of primary sources of the student-SMAK SMK Padang. Data collected view of providing intensive reading test paragraphs of the matter abjektif given researchers. The findings of the study showed that there is a difference in determining the sentence facts and opinions. The ability to determine the facts sentences (69.80%) and subjective (63.88%).

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to describe the following .First , describe the critical reading skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang . Second , describe the argument essay writing skills class students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang VIII . Third , to describe the relationship between critical reading and writing essays arguing eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang . The data of this study are the results of tests conducted on 26 to 28 November 2013 . The first test a number of questions about the objective with 30 items , which according to the indicator . The second test which tests the performance of the argument essay writing test . The data have been collected and analyzed statistically using the product moment formula . The results of the data analysis and discussion of the research results , we can conclude the following three points . First , the critical reading skills of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang are in good qualifying ( 77.11 ). Second , the argument essay writing skills eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang are in good qualifying ( 80.27 ) . Third , there is a significant correlation ( mean ) between students' critical reading skills and writing skills essay argument eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 34 Padang at the 95 % significance level with n - 1 degrees of freedom is obtained t_hitung t_tabel = 4.65 and 1.70 in the sense t_hitung t_tabel is greater than 4.65 > 1.70 .

Abstract

Media audio visual adalah  perantara atau peraga yang digunakan oleh guru dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar  yang pengunaan materi penyerapannya melalui pandangan (gambar) dan pendengaran (suara). Dengan adanya media pembelajaran audio visual pada keterampilan menulis teks berita dapat membuat siswa lebih tertarik dan bersemangat dalam belajar. Berita adalah laporan peristiwa yang dimuat atau disiarkan di media massa berupa fakta atau gagasan, terdiri dari unsur 5W+1H, dan mengandung nilai-nilai berita atau nilai-nilai jurnalistik. Berita adalah informasi baru tentang kejadian yang baru, penting, dan bermakna (signifikan), yang berpengaruh pada para pendengarnya serta relevan dan layak dinikmati oleh pembaca. Untuk mendukung terciptanya profesionalisme guru dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif diadakan Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM). PKM tersebut dilakukan dengan cara membimbing dan memberikan pelatihan pada guru di SMP Negeri 12 Padang agar dapat menggunakan media-media pembelajaran bervariasi. Penggunaan media pembelajaran ini dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih semangat dalam proses pembelajaran pada materi teks berita. Sebagai media pembelajaran baru, yang inovatif, penggunaan Media pembelajaran ini menjadi daya tarik tersendiri bagi siswa. Siswa tidak lagi memperoleh materi tentang teks berita dengan pemaparan teori yang panjang lebar, tetapi guru langsung memberikan pembelajaran dengam Media pembelajaran yang menarik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas buku ajar Perencanaan Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis Inkuiri yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis RPP mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat. Efektivitas ini dapat dilihat dari hasil belajar mahasiswa ketika menulis RPP dan juga dari lembar hasil observasi mahasiswa ketika melaksanakan perkuliahan dengan menggunakan buku ajar Perencanaan Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis Inkuiri. Jenis penelitian ini penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan rancangan penelitian berbentuk eksperimental semu (quasi experimental research) dengan tipe one group pretest-posttest. Penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes unjuk kerja menulis RPP dan lembar hasil observasi mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, buku ajar Perencanaan Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis Inkuiri efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis RPP mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia Universitas PGRI Sumatera Barat. Kedua, buku ajar Perencanaan Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis Inkuiri dapat membangkitkan semangat belajar dan membuat mahasiswa sangat aktif dalam menjalani perkuliahan Perencanaan Pengajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to determine students' critical reading skills, how they can write scientific papers, and how critical reading relates to students' ability to write scientific papers in class XI at SMK Negeri 6 Padang. Because these two skills are fundamental to master, this quantitative research uses a correlation approach. The population of this research is students in class XI at SMK Negeri 6 Padang who are registered in 2023/2024. The sample in this research was class XI students, totaling 31 people. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire and the data analysis carried out is correlation analysis between variables. The results of this research are first, the reading habits of the class secondly, the scientific work writing skills of the class third, there is a significant relationship between reading skills and scientific writing skills of class XI students at SMK Negeri 6 Padang. Based on these conclusions, teachers who teach Indonesian language subjects must be more innovative in improving students' reading and writing skills at SMK Negeri 6 Padang

Abstract

Expository text is a form of text or writing that contains information and knowledge. In general, expository text itself has the aim of providing an explanation or description of ideas, main ideas, opinions, information, and knowledge to the reader without intending to influence. To support the creation of teacher professionalism in creating effective learning, a Community Partnership Program (PKM) was held. PKM is carried out by guiding and providing training to students at SMP Muhammadiyah Padang, so they can use various learning media. The use of this learning media can help students to be more enthusiastic in the learning process on exposition text material. As a new, innovative learning media, the use of this learning media is the main attraction for students. Students no longer get material about exposition texts with lengthy theoretical presentations, but teachers directly provide learning with interesting learning media, one of which is digital-based audio-visual learning media. Abstract

Describe the form of directive speech acts of Indonesian teachers for class VIII in the teaching and learning process at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas. The type of research used in this research is a qualitative type. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The data in this study are in the form of directive speech acts of Indonesian teachers at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas in the teaching and learning process. The data source for this research is the speech of an Indonesian language teacher during the teaching and learning process from the beginning to the end of the lesson. research instruments used in research are recording devices such as; cellphone. For notes such as; pen, paper, or small notes, and other writing tools The data collection stage in this study used the listening or listening method. The data validation technique used in this study is a detailed description. The results of this study First, the form of directive speech acts used by teachers in learning at SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas, there are five forms, namely, directive speech acts ordering, speech acts begging, directive speech acts suggesting, directive speech acts asking questions, directive speech acts prohibiting . Second, from the utterances that have been analyzed in SMP Negeri 5 Sungai Beremas the most dominant utterance or the most frequently used by the teacher in learning is the directive act of asking questions.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the following problems. First, students do not understand the content of short stories whose language is too high so they have difficulty reading short stories. Second, students have difficulty understanding the material because sometimes teachers explain the material too quickly and concisely. This research aims to describe the differences in the use of the PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Summarize, Test) method and the PQ4R (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) method on the short story reading skills of class XI students at Semen Padang High School.This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The design of this research is one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all class XI students of Semen Padang High School. The sample in this research was 27 class XI students of Semen Padang High School. The data in this study are scores using the PQRST method for class XI students at Semen Padang High School and scores using the PQ4R method (Preview, Question, Read, Reflect, Recite, Review) for class XI high school students Semen Padang.The results of this research can be concluded as follows. Abstract

Pelatihan pembelajaran menulis dengan berbantuan aplikasi menggunakan Partisipation Action Research (PAR). Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membuat pembelajaran menulis dapat terintegrasi dengan teknologi sehingga pembelajaran menulis yang masih rendah di tingkat dapat ditingkatkan. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan peaksanaan. Tahap pertama observasi masalah. Tahap kedua pemberian perlakuan pada permasalahan menulis yang terjadi di sekolah dengan menggunakan aplikasi. Tahap terakhir dengan melakukan evaluasi untuk mengukur ketercapain pembelajaran. Hasil dari pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menulis yang biasnya dianggap sulit oleh siswa dapat menjadi pemblajaran yang menarik dengan meanfaatkan aplikasi dalam hal ini Microsoft Publisher yang ada pada setiap program komputer sekolah. Selain itu, pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi informasi ini juga lebih menjalin kedekatan personal antara guru dan siswa serta kontrol kelas yang lebih kondusif karena kelas diatur dengan alat peraga masing-masing anak dalam hal ini komputer sekolah.

Abstract

The aims of this research is to describe the contribution between critical reading skills and mastery of effective sentences on the ability to write scientific papers of phase F students at SMK Negeri 6 Padang. This research is quantitative research using correlational methods. In this research, the population consisted of ten classes of class XI students at SMK Negeri 6 Padang in the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 334 students. The sampling technique used was a simple random technique. The instruments in this research are objective tests with multiple choice types and performance tests. Before the data was analyzed, analysis requirements were tested, namely the normality test with the Liliefors test, homogeneity test with the Cohran test, and the linearity test. In this study, the data were analyzed using simple and multiple correlation tests. It can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between critical reading ability and mastery of effective sentences together on the ability to write scientific papers. Based on the results of testing variables X1 and X2 together against Y, the rxy result was 0,42 with a calculated fvalue = 6,69 and ftable = 3,34. The contribution made by the ability to read critically and mastery of effective sentences together to the ability to write scientific papers is 17,64%.
