Abstract

Mistakes in religious education can lead to a misguided understanding in religious practices. Religious teachers, as the primary guides, should master universal values, religious teaching materials, and teaching strategies. On the other hand, teachers also face environmental conditions, facilities, and student environments. Strengthening Religious Moderation is a process of understanding and practicing religious teachings fairly and balancedly to avoid extreme or excessive behavior in its implementation. Therefore, there is a need for research and mentoring for Madrasah teachers through mastering the Strengthening Religious Education Moderation. This service is of great importance for the development of Islamic Higher Education institutions in Indonesia and for institutions or schools under the Ministry. Using the Community-Based Research (CBR) method and carried out over a three-month period, namely October, November, and December 2022 results show that Madrasahs in implementing Religious Moderation Strengthening has significantly improved. The implementation of the Religious Moderation Strengthening program has a positive impact on the school's capacity improvement and its implementation in both curricular and extracurricular activities.

Abstract

Culture is formed by values and ideas, with one of its components being the madrasah as a practice of value education. This writing is a response to the lack of attention to the significant potential of madrasah in preserving local culture through learning practices. Madrasah holds immense power in building moral fortitude to sustain culture through religious education, curriculum, and strategies. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the culture of Islamic religious education in coastal,the research approach is based on a qualitative method using a case study style, allowing for a profound understanding of the implementation of Islamic religious education practices in madrasahs in the Pantura region. The findings of this research indicate that the practiced methods are through sociocultural education strategies. These strategies encompass the integration of Islamic teachings and local culture in the goals of Islamic religious education, the characteristics of students and teachers, materials, strategies, and media, as well as the evaluation of educational achievements. Additionally, these strategies include the use of co-curricular and extracurricular activities as tools and media for Islamic education, along with the recognition and respect for cultural diversity and locality in the practice of Islamic education in coastal madrasahs. In this strategy, coastal madrasahs effectively utilize co-curricular and extracurricular activities as tools and media for Islamic education. Through the diversity of these activities, madrasahs create a holistic learning environment that supports the spiritual and religious development of students while grounding them in the values of local coastal culture.

Abstract

Learning is a necessity and plays an important role in human life. This is because humans are born knowing nothing, and they are only supplied with physical and spiritual potential. So it is reasonable to see why and how humans are affected by how they learn. Therefore, learning is done by humans continuously, lifelong (life long education), at school or outside school, guided or not. This premise is reinforced by the fact that humans despite its weakness, but on the other hand it is a dynamic creature rather than a static being. With his dynamic, he is able to create progress with a variety of sophisticated technologies to simplify his life. The ideal thing that should happen in a learning process is not only in the form of transfer, but also transformation; be it knowledge, skills, and value. Therefore, learning must touch three domains, namely cognitive, psychomotor and affective. In the Islamic perspective, the learning process can not be separated from the human way of using the potential / tools given by God. From the perspective of Islam, man was awarded three tools in seeking knowledge: the five senses (jismiah), the mind (nafsiyah), and the heart (ruhiyah).

Abstract

There is an exaggerated but realistic worry that the author felt before writing this paper, after several times hearing and discussing with some fellow practitioners of education about a phrase that says "If pengin kaya, do not rely from ngguru alone ..." or even "if want to be rich, yo do not be a teacher! ". To understand a society, it can not be done at once as a whole because society is formed by various aspects. Those aspects are the realities that make up society. If society is likened to a house, then the parts that make up it are pole, wall, roof, foundation, and so on. Likewise society, composed of various social realities. To understand a society, we must understand the various social realities that constitute that society, including Master.

Abstract

Moral in the world of psychology has three domains, namely cognitive / reasoning, behavior / behavior, and affection / emotion. Moral is influenced by many elements, especially age, adolescence as an important period in which many changes in the period, both physical and non- physical, the transition period, the problem-prone period, the search for identity, and adolescence to adulthood. In the cognitive domain or moral reasoning, adolescence is crucial to the success of the self in the future. Pesantren as a sub-culture of education in Indonesia has a different educational model and has been proven to produce moral cadres.This qualitative study with a case study approach using questionnaire and FGD methods in extracting the data, and based on the moral development theory of Lawrence Kohberg. From the results of this study indicate that; First, the moral reasoning of young santri has several variants of stages or levels, this is because the santri of the pesantren also vary from the students of Tsanawiyah, aliyah, and post-student level so that the general reasoning of Tarbiyatut Tholabah Islamic boarding school students in conventional stage III is in the interpersonal agreement orientation reasoning and stage IV namely the orientation of law and order and post conventional stage V namely the orientation of legalistic social contracts. Second; religious understanding has an important role in the moral reasoning of adolescent students through two things: first, with understanding of religion, adolescents know the moral behaviors that apply, and are based on religious value standards; Second, understanding religion will generate strong motivation for adolescent students to think, and behave in accordance with religious values that are believed to be a form of worship and that can be accepted by their environment, so that from this study also found the longer children live in pesantren, then moral reasoning santri teenagers will be better. Third; The role of pesantren in the moral reasoning of young students.

Abstract

The Qur'an as a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad contains transhistorical values, which means that the Qur'an was revealed in historical reality. This is because the Qur'an came down as a concrete response to history, time periods, certain events, and certain places. While on the other hand, the Qur'an also has a transcendental value, because of which it is eternal, its values are not bound by space and time, it transcends events, by which it is also believed to be eternal. The next main thing is that we cannot understand the Qur'an, both story verses and aqidah verses or even Shari'ah, we separate them. If we understand with an incomplete understanding model then that is an inappropriate or even wrong understanding, atomistic, the purpose of this paper is to understand the Islamic education system through the stories contained in the Qur'an, namely the story of the prophets Isa and Maryam. The effort to understand these verses is to collect related verses and then we arrange these verses according to the life story of the Prophet Isa and his mother, in which there are several important events, then from snippets of events told in the Qur'an the writer seeks to find the educational values contained in it both from the story and from the meaning side. There is something else from the education system, namely the subjects in the story are Prophet Isa, Maryam, and the Children of Israel, the educational material in this story is divided into three, namely Ideological, Historical and Informative, after the material is finished the educational goals are directed at tasks servitude and caliphate, methods include stories and bayan (proof), In the interaction of education even though there are many miracles that show his prophethood, and justify his apostleship, they are al-hawariyyun who are his loyal followers and helpers

Abstract

Abstract: Moral degradation among madrasah students is a serious concern in the current era. Researchers are interested in studying the implementation of the muhasabah approach in overcoming the moral degradation of madrasah students. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with multisites and uses observation, interview and documentation data collection techniques. Data sources include teachers and students at three madrasas, namely MA Tarbiyatut Tholabah Lamongan, MA Matholi'ul Anwar Lamongan, and MA Salafiyah Lamongan. The data analysis process uses case analysis of field data, including checking, organizing, and coding as well as cross-case analysis. The research results show that consistent application of the muhasabah approach can increase students' self-awareness of moral values, improve social behavior, and reduce actions that conflict with religious and social norms. There are four principles used by the three madrasas, namely contextual, communicative, open and fair principles. This is supported by an attitude assessment, including discipline, responsibility, honesty, self-confidence and enthusiasm. The implication of this research is the importance of integrating the muhasabah approach in the educational curriculum in madrasas to shape better student character through assessing social attitudes.

Abstract

Community empowerment in Pambon Hamlet through the results of observations and data mining that we conducted for the community for thirty-four days shows various phenomena that occur. There are several aspects that we explored, ranging from the aspects of education, health, economy to social and community in Pambon Hamlet. Seeing the human resources (HR) that are developing in the world of education, we hold a Scientific Discussion: Increasing Teaching and Learning Innovations. This activity is expected to be able to increase the innovation and creativity of teachers in the teaching and learning process through scientific discussions related to teaching and learning innovations with Khoirun Nasikh, M.H.I. as the source.

Abstract

This paper aims to assess the thoughts of two liberal figures related to the strengths and weaknesses of thought in the context of modern education. In this paper , the author tries to explore deeper and more broadly related to Liberal ideology and paradigm through two cross - age figures , namely the modern era and the contemporary era . The method used in this research is library research. Although these two Liberal figures have different views; namely John Locke is referred to as the main character of empiricism in education and John Dewey is referred to as an instrumental figure in education, but in O'neil's book these two figures fall into the category of Liberal figures, both of which complement each other. The final conclusion in this study is the modernization and renewal of learning centered on individual freedom, say student centered education - the problems that occur in society are not diminishing or disappearing, but from day to day they increase and accumulate, the philosophy of constructivism is that each child constructs own knowledge, it turns out that the goal is to humanize humans to fail, to produce people who highlight the competitive side and education capitalism

Abstract

This research aims to identify and analyze the educational values of gender equality and women's empowerment in the Javanese tradition through a biblical-critical study. This qualitative research method analyzes various written sources such as traditional books, scientific articles, and local literature using thematic content analysis, critical interpretation with the lens of cultural feminism and Javanese emic perspectives, and cultural hermeneutics. The results of the study show that Javanese traditions contain the value of appreciation for the role of women in rituals, the representation of female figures as symbols of empowerment (agency, autonomy, leadership), as well as social values such as mutual cooperation, manners, and flexibility that have the potential to support the harmony of gender relations. The conclusion of the study confirms that the noble values in the Javanese tradition are relevant to be integrated in modern education through cultural recontextualization. The contribution of this research lies in the identification of specific values in the Javanese tradition that can enrich the local culture-based education curriculum that is gender-responsive.
