Abstract

Preeclampsia were still a threatening problem in pregnancy, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia, preeclampsia were a high cause of maternal mortality in addition to bleeding and infection. Preeclampsia could cause problems for both the fetus and the mother. The conditions of preeclampsia and eclampsia would adversely affect the health of the fetus due to decreased uteroplacental perfusion, hypovolemia, vasospasm, and damage to endothelial cells of the placental vessels. The exact cause of preeclampsia were not known. There are various risk factors, including parity factors and a history of hypertension. This type of research was a descriptive study with a case control design and using univariate and bivariate data analysis techniques with chi-square test where the population were inpartu mothers in the VK Room of Medika Stannia Hospital, Bangka Regency. Sampling using accidental sampling technique with a significant level of 95% (p 0.05). The results of this study indicate that there was a relationship between parity (p value 0.009) and history of hypertension (p value 0.023) to the incidence of severe preeclampsia. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that the hospital will be able to control the risk of severe preeclampsia in the mother during pregnancy, especially mothers with primigravida parity and have a history of hypertension.

Abstract

Abstract Malaria is a serious and potentially fatal public health problem. Malaria elimination efforts are carried out in Indonesia to create a society that is free from malaria transmission in 2030. This study aims to analyze the implementation of malaria control policies at the Sidodadi Community Health Center, Asahan District. This study used a qualitative approach involving the head of the Community Health Center and the malaria program manager as respondents. The results showed that the management of malaria sufferers was quite good, but there were still obstacles in the availability of malaria drugs at the Sidodadi Health Center. Prevention and management of risk factors for malaria are also not optimal due to the lack of facilities and infrastructure for health workers. Epidemiological surveillance and epidemic control still need to be improved according to the standards of the Ministry of Health. Communication, information, and education in malaria prevention is quite good. The improvement of human resources at the Sidodadi Health Center has also been carried out well, but the Asahan District Health Office needs to continue to prioritize the malaria elimination program and continue to improve education for field workers. Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is pain during menstruation that is felt in the lower abdomen and also in muscle pain in the upper thighs, lower back, pelvis, and waist to calves. Dysmenorrhea also affects emotions and anxiety due to feelings that are uncomfortable and foreign to adolescents. Therefore dysmenorrhea must be handled so that these impacts can be minimized. Every year, dysmenorrhea is a problem that always arises among women of childbearing age. This research was conducted because there was data from a preliminary study and it was found that 90% of young women experienced dysmenorrhea, namely in young women at Bah Jambi Private Middle School. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of dysmenorrhea exercise on menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in young women at Bah Jambi Private Middle School. Quasi-experimental research with a one-group pre-test post-test design scheme. A total of 37 young women were selected to be the sample, which was determined by purposive sampling. The resulting data in the form of a search scale will be analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The pain scale before the dysmenorrhea exercise showed that most of the respondents experienced menstrual pain that interfered with their activities. After doing the exercise, the menstrual pain for young women becomes a little painful. Based on the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test with a 95% level of confidence, the value of p = 0.00 is obtained, where this value is less than 0.05, which means that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. So it can be concluded that dysmenorrhea exercise affects reducing menstrual pain in young women at Bah Jambi Private Middle School.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is still a common health problem and can have serious impacts on the health of both the mother and the fetus. Iron deficiency is the main cause, thus effective prevention and management efforts are needed, either through supplementation or the intake of nutritious foods rich in iron. One natural food ingredient that has the potential to increase hemoglobin levels is red beans (Phaseolus vulgaris). The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of red bean preparations in increasing hemoglobin in pregnant women experiencing anemia at the Mars Clinic. The study used a Quasi-Experimental method with a One Group Pre Test Post Test approach. By using a total sampling technique, 17 respondents were obtained. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test showed a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), which means there is a significant effect of giving red bean porridge on the increase of hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. It is recommended that healthcare workers, especially midwives, promote the prevention and management of anemia by utilizing foods such as red beans.
