Abstract

Preeclampsia were still a threatening problem in pregnancy, especially in developing countries. In Indonesia, preeclampsia were a high cause of maternal mortality in addition to bleeding and infection. Preeclampsia could cause problems for both the fetus and the mother. The conditions of preeclampsia and eclampsia would adversely affect the health of the fetus due to decreased uteroplacental perfusion, hypovolemia, vasospasm, and damage to endothelial cells of the placental vessels. The exact cause of preeclampsia were not known. There are various risk factors, including parity factors and a history of hypertension. This type of research was a descriptive study with a case control design and using univariate and bivariate data analysis techniques with chi-square test where the population were inpartu mothers in the VK Room of Medika Stannia Hospital, Bangka Regency. Sampling using accidental sampling technique with a significant level of 95% (p 0.05). The results of this study indicate that there was a relationship between parity (p value 0.009) and history of hypertension (p value 0.023) to the incidence of severe preeclampsia. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that the hospital will be able to control the risk of severe preeclampsia in the mother during pregnancy, especially mothers with primigravida parity and have a history of hypertension.

Abstract

Perineal laceration is trauma to the perineum due to tearing of the birth canal or due to an episiotomy at the time of expulsion of the fetus from the uterus. One of the causes of infection and bleeding is perineal laceration. Old perineal laceration wound healing can increase the risk of infection so it is necessary to fulfill nutritional intake, especially protein which will help the growth of new cells in the perineal laceration wound so that the perineal laceration healing process can be accelerated. This study aims to determine whether the administration of boiled egg white has an effect on the healing of perineal lacerations in postpartum mothers at the Pratama Nining Pelawati Clinic. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental design with One Group Pretest and Posttest design. The population and sample in this study were all postpartum mothers on the first day at the Pratama Nining Pelawati Clinic, totaling 20 people with a total sampling technique. Data were collected using a check list sheet. The results showed that the majority of respondents who consumed boiled egg whites had fast perineal lacerations healing as many as 17 people (85%). Based on the results of data analysis with the independent Sample T-Test test, the p value = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means that there is an effect of boiled egg white on the healing of perineal lacerations in postpartum mothers. The results of this study indicate that there is a match between theory and facts in the field where the fulfillment of nutritional intake in postpartum mothers, especially foods rich in protein will help accelerate the healing of perineal lacerations. Protein from eggs is useful as a building block to replace damaged cells and help the formation of new tissue in accelerating the healing process of perineal laceration.

This study aims to determine the effect of providing family planning counseling on the knowledge of women of reproductive age about 3-month family planning injections at PMB Nining Setiawan in 2023. This type of research uses a quasy experimental research design with a one group pretest posttest design. The population of this study were all women of childbearing age who used 3-month family planning injections at PMB Nining Setiawan. The sampling technique used purposive sampling based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria of 30 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire sheet which was analyzed using paired t-tests. The results showed that there was an effect of providing family planning counseling on the knowledge of women of childbearing age about 3-month family planning injections at PMB Nining Setiawan Indragiri Hulu District in 2023 with a p-value = 0.000 (p<0.005). Abstract

Colostrum is a newborn's first food which is very important for the newborn's antibodies against bacteria, germs and viruses. Colostrum can play a role in protecting the baby's body from infections and bacteria because colostrum contains immunoglobulin substances. Applying warm compresses to the breasts can facilitate colostrum production. Warm compresses will increase blood circulation in the breasts so that oxytocin production will also increase and make colostrum production smoother. This study aims to determine the effect of warm breast compresses on colostrum production in primigravida mothers at the Saumi Midwife Clinic, Trading City. This research uses a quasi-experimental research design with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were all primigravida mothers who visited the Saumi Midwife Clinic in Trading City. Sampling in this study used a purposive sampling technique based on inclusion and exclusion criteria of 15 samples. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Based on the research results, it was found that there was an effect of warm breast compresses on colostrum production in primigravida mothers with a p-value =0.004

Abstract

Malnutrition is a nutritional problem that is still quite a lot in Indonesia and still really needs to be addressed so it doesn't have negative impacts that are detrimental to both the toddlers themselves or their families and the country. The prevalence of malnutrition in Indonesia is still high and needs to be addressed and prevented so that the number does not increase. One of the factors that can cause a toddler to be malnourished is the mother's lack of knowledge regarding well balanced nutrition to give to toddlers. Therefore, in this service, balanced nutrition socialization is carried out for mothers of toddlers in an effort to prevent malnutrition in toddlers. This community service activity was carried out at the Rugun Midwife Independent Work Practice Clinic on May 10-16 2023. This community service activity was carried out in the form of socialization and was carried out in several stages, namely planning, education and final evaluation. The results of this activity show that mothers under five are very enthusiastic in participating in activities and listening to what is conveyed by the speakers. This is also shown by the results of the pre-test and post-test which show that the mother's knowledge after being given socialization increases in a better direction. It is necessary to carry out further analysis related to changes in attitudes and behavior of mothers under five in an effort to prevent malnutrition in toddlers at the Rugun Midwife Independent Work Practice Clinic.

Abstract

Baby growth and development is an indicator of baby health. Data from WHO shows that a number of toddlers experience motor disorders, which can include fine motor skills and gross motor skills. Infancy is considered a critical and environmentally sensitive period, so optimizing care during this period has a significant impact on the child's well-being. Baby massage is recognized as a useful therapy for encouraging children's growth and development. However, mothers' low knowledge of independent baby massage techniques can affect their skills in carrying out baby massage. Therefore, an educational approach through counseling is considered an effective strategy for increasing mothers' understanding and skills. Community service activities (PKM) carried out at the Sahabat Bunda Midwife Clinic involve material presentations, question and answer discussions, and demonstrations as learning methods. The results of the PKM show that the material presented can be well understood and responded to by mothers. Positive feedback received indicates achievement of extension targets. Significantly, mothers' knowledge and skills regarding baby massage increased, as seen from their ability to answer questions and carry out baby massage demonstrations. It is hoped that through this PKM activity, mothers can be independent in carrying out baby massage, so that they can make a positive contribution to the optimal growth and development of their babies.
