Abstract

Leucorrhea is one disease commonly found in women live in tropical area such as Indonesia. Candida albicans is one of the main cause of this disease. Beside leucorrhea,  Candida albicans can also cause infection in mouth, skin, and lung. The leaves of  Pluchea indica Less is traditionally used to overcome leucorrhea. This experiment was conducted to examine the activity of volatile oil in Pluchea indica Less in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans. The experiment was done using liquid diffusion method. Result showed that volatile oil of Pluchea indica Less can inhibit the growth of Candida albicans with minimum inhibition concentration 12.5%. To observe the efficacy in application, the volatile oil was combined with other ingredients to make a ready to use product. 2 parts of  volatile oil of Pluchea indica Less, was combined with 1 part parfum and 7 parts technical ethanol 95%. This product was then spray over outer part of vagina with leucorrhea. Examination showed that this product was more effective compare to  povidon iodium (positive control). Analytical examination using GC-MS revealed that the volatile oil of Pluchea indica Less contain caryophyllene,  isocaryophyllene, azulene derivate-compound, and naphthalene. ABSTRAK Keputihan merupakan salah satu penyakit yang banyak diderita sebagian besar wanita didaerah tropis seperti Indonesia. Candida albicans merupakan salah satu penyebab keputihan yang sering dijumpai. Selain menyebabkan keputihan, Candida albicans juga dapat menyebabkan infeksi mulut, kuku, kulit dan paru-paru. Daun beluntas merupakan salah satu tanaman yang secara tradisional sering digunakan dalam pengobatan keputihan. Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian aktivitas anti Candida albicans dari minyak atsiri daun beluntas dengan metode dilusi cair. Hasil uji aktivitas antifungi terhadap Candida albicans, minyak atsiri daun beluntas memiliki KBM pada konsentrasi 12,5%. Minyak atsiri kemudian dibuat sediaan dengan komposisi 2 bagian minyak atsiri daun beluntas, 1 bagian pewangi dan 7 bagian etanol tehnis 95%. Sediaan ini digunakan dengan cara menyemprotkannya pada daerah kewanitaan. Hasil uji aktivitas anti Candida albicans terhadap sediaan yang dibuat dengan metode difusi padat menunjukkan potensi sedian yang dibuat lebih besar daripada povidon iodium (kontrol positif). Hasil analisis kromatografi gas-spektroskopi menunjukkan bahwa minyak atsiri daun beluntas mengandung caryophyllene dan isocaryophyllene serta senyawa derivat azulene, dan naphthalene.

Abstract

Kampung Maleber, Desa Ciherang, Kecamatan Pacet, Kabupaten Cianjur merupakan daerah dengan mayoritas masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai petani. Isu kelangkaan pupuk yang dialami petani di kampung Maleber membuat harga pupuk menjadi mahal, serta banyaknya limbah panen sayur yang dibiarkan tanpa adanya pemanfaatan lebih lanjut. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan pembuatan pupuk kompos dari Limbah panen sayuran kepada petani di Kampung Maleber. Diharapkan dengan adanya pelatihan ini dapat membantu petani di Kampung Maleber agar dapat menekan biaya input pupuk. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dilakukan pada 07 Desember 2023, yang dihadiri oleh 20 petani. Materi yang diberikan diantaranya bagaimana membuat pupuk kompos cair dan padat dari limbah panen serta Manfaat atau kandungan yang dimiliki pupuk kompos tersebut. Pupuk yang dihasilkan dalam praktek ini yaitu pupuk organic padat dan pupuk organic cair. Kedua pupuk ini mengandung unsur hara makro dan unsur hara mikro yang dibutuhkan tanaman serta bermanfaat untuk memperbaiki kesuburan tanah dan menambah unsur hara yang diperlukan oleh tanaman. pengaplikasian pupuk organic padat (POP) diaplikasikan dengan cara ditabur di lubang tanam atau bisa digunakan dengan cara dilarutkan dalam air dengan dosis 500g ram POP per 10 liter air. Untuk pupuk organik cair (POC) pengaplikasiannya menggunakan dosis 40ml per satu liter air dengan cara dikocor langsung ke tanaman.

Abstract

Tutur District is the center of chrysanthemum cut flower production in East Java, but there is a discrepancy between the quality of production and market demand. The purpose of this study is to analyze the suitability of the quality of cut chrysanthemum flowers with market desires and determine the price equilibrium point and the number of demand-supply. The method used was quantitative descriptive, with primary data collection through questionnaires and interviews with 56 farmers and 6 chrysanthemum collectors. Data analysis was carried out using gap analysis and market balance analysis through simple linear regression. The results of the study show qualities such as the rate of damage, the rate of bloom and the number of florets still show gaps. The equilibrium point for the price of standard type chrysanthemums is IDR 1,145/stalk with a total of 227,730 stalks, and for the spray type is IDR 1,041/stalk with a total of 441,129 stalks. Farmers tend to sell below the equilibrium price so that there is an excess supply. The quality of chrysanthemums is relatively good but does not fully meet market standards. Policy recommendations include improving farmers' technical skills, providing superior varieties, and timing of harvests to align with peak market demand.

Abstract

The El Nino phenomenon in 2023 caused more than 50% of Shallot farmers in Pandean Village, Nganjuk Regency, to experience crop failure due to limited water and a weak data-based management system. The target of this community service is 30 shallot farmers who are members of the P4S Santosa Jaya group. This community service activity aims to increase farmers' understanding of the application of the Internet of Things (IoT) in shallot cultivation through socialization, training, and farmer assistance. The implementation method includes preparation, interactive socialization with pre-tests and post-tests, as well as evaluation of farmers' perceptions. The results of the activity show a significant increase in knowledge, where before the activity 50% of participants were in the less knowledgeable category, and after the activity, it increased to 50% in the knowledgeable category and 26.7% in the very knowledgeable category. In addition, farmers' perceptions of IoT are largely positive (50%), although there are still neutral (30%) and skeptical (20%) responses regarding investment costs, internet access, and technical skills. These findings demonstrate that educational assistance can enhance agricultural digital literacy while serving as a first step toward data-driven farming adoption.
