Abstract

Teacher quality can be improved by increasing knowledge about various methods, approaches and strategies that can be applied in learning to overcome learning problems in the classroom so that innovative learning can be realized which will maximize student achievement. In connection with this problem, the cooperative learning model was socialized to improve students' mathematical generalization abilities. This community service aims to socialize the application of the Active, Collaborative and Inductive (AKI) Cooperative learning model to teachers in Maros Regency. This activity was attended by 23 teachers and lecturers from various schools and universities. During the activity, the teachers were interested and motivated to develop creative mathematics teaching skills using the AKI type cooperative learning model as a solution to the low mathematical generalization abilities experienced by students.

Abstract

The psychological well-being of students is very important to create a good and productive learning environment. In an effort to provide SMAS Hang Tuah Makassar teachers with a better understanding of the concept of mental health and strategies to improve it in the learning environment, a seminar on Psychological Well Being of Students in the learning process was held. Participants gain a broad understanding of the factors that influence students' psychological well-being, the role of teachers in creating a supportive environment, and methods and approaches that are useful for improving psychological well-being. The results of the pre- and post-test evaluations showed that the teachers understood and comprehended this concept better after attending the seminar.

Abstract

The mathematical generalization ability of students at one junior high school, especially in Makassar, is relatively low. One alternative to improve students' mathematical generalization abilities is to apply active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models. This research aims to determine the difference in the average score of mathematical generalization abilities of students taught through active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models, and students taught through cooperative learning models on flat-sided geometric material. This research used a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design in class VIII at a junior high school in Makassar, Indonesia. The sample in this study was 35 students in the control group and 31 students in the experimental group. The instrument used is a mathematical generalization ability test. Data were analyzed using the n gain test. Based on the analysis, the average n-gain score for students' mathematical generalization abilities in flat-sided geometric material after being taught by applying active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models was 0,51 or experienced a moderate increase and the percentage of learning completeness was 93,55%. Therefore, it can be concluded that junior high school students' mathematical generalization abilities increased after being taught using active, collaborative and inductive cooperative learning models.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis pre-eksperimental yang berbentuk One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa setelah menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif Mathigon pada materi segi empat. Subjek penelitian adalah 22 siswa kelas VII.A SMP DDI Alliritengae semester genap tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi tes pemahaman konsep dan lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Tes mencakup empat indikator pemahaman konsep, yaitu menyajikan kembali konsep yang telah dipelajari, menggolongkan jenis objek berdasarkan karakteristik tertentu sesuai dengan konsepnya, menentukan contoh dan bukan contoh dari konsep, dan menerapkan konsep sesuai algoritma pemecahan masalah. Analisis data menggunakan aplikasi JASP menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata pretest sebesar 38,920 meningkat menjadi 84,091 pada posttest, dengan nilai N-Gain 0,742 (kategori tinggi). Uji paired sample t-test dan uji Wilcoxon menghasilkan nilai p 0,001, menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang jelas antara pemahaman konsep sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran. Peningkatan terjadi pada seluruh indikator pemahaman konsep. Hasil observasi menunjukkan rata-rata partisipasi siswa sebesar 93%, yang menunjukkan bahwa Mathigon juga mendorong keterlibatan dan interaksi aktif dalam pembelajaran.
