Abstract

Penelitian ini disusun dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perubahan brake cylinder dari ukuran 10 inch menjadi 12 inch pada Gerbong Terbuka, karena Gerbong Terbuka ini merupakan satu ? satunya gerbong yang memiliki dua buah brake cylinder berbeda dengan gerbong yang lainnya. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menghitung presentase pengereman pada penggunaan brake cylinder tipe ukuran 10 inch dan 12 inch pada gerbong Terbuka yang digunakan di Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng. Menghitung waktu kerja dan waktu release pada brake cylinder dengan ukuran 10 inch dan 12 inch dari tekanan 0,4 ? 3,8 kg/cm2. Menghitung jarak pengereman dengan asumsi jenis lokomotif dan jumlah gerbong yang ditarik sama. Penelitian menghasilkan waktu kerja dan waktu release mendapat hasil yang bervariasi yaitu waktu kerja lebih cepat pada BC 12 inch dan waktu release lebih cepat pada BC 10 inch. Hasil presentase pengereman yang sudah didapatkan dari penghitungan dengan standar presentase pengereman adalah 40 % <l£ 120 %. Dari standar yang ditentukan sesuai UIC, pada penggunaan brake cylinder 10 inch tidak memenuhi syarat pada hasil perhitungan presentase pengereman saat muatan penuh, dan untuk brake cylinder dengan ukuran 12 inch dapat memenuhi persyaratan yang sudah ditentukan. Hasil presentase tekanan blok rem yang sudah didapatkan dari penghitungan dengan standar presentase pengereman adalah 30% <þ£85 %. Dari standar yang ditentukan sesuai UIC, pada penggunaan brake cylinder 10 inch tidak memenuhi syarat pada hasil perhitungan presentase tekanan blok rem muatan penuh, sedangkan untuk brake cylinder dengan ukuran 12 inch memenuhi. Jarak pengereman yang diperoleh dari hasil simulasi hitungan dengan faktor yang sudah ditentukan memperoleh hasil dengan jarak pengereman untuk BC 12 inch lebih dekat daripada yang menggunakan BC 10 inch. Untuk menyempurnakan hasil penelitian ini perlu dilakukan pengujian terhadap komponen brake cylinder secara dinamis.

Abstract

Slahung Subdistrict in Ponorogo  District,  East  Java  Province, has  great  potency  in  agriculture.  Most of the crops can not be utilized optimally for  economic  growth  in  the  Sub-district  due  to limited access of roads, therefore the study analised  development  of  trains  for  optimizing  the  potency of Slahung by using literature study and field survey  along  the  existing  route  Madiun- Slahung. Data was collected from the Slahung District Office and from a  survey  of  railway conditions along the track. The results obtained  are (1) Comparison of energy  consumption  shows  that train is superior at Rp 14, 87 Km / ton and 0.0025 liter / km / ton for freight transport. (2) By utilizing paddy and sugar cane production in Slahung area, Slahung will earn a profit of Rp 2,468,542,182,850.00 per year when selling the  crop  in  Madiun  City.  (3)  The  survey  estimates that 61% of the Madiun -  Slahung railway line  in good  condition and  39% in poor condition,  some of the track located in the middle of agricultural land which will make it easier for farmers  to distribute their harvest to the trading center.  (4)  The  survey  results  show  that  the  Slahung community needs a cheap and fast mode of transportation  that  overide  convenience  factor,  so  that the train with its characteristics can be accepted by the community.

Abstract

Distributor valve adalah salah satu bagian dari sistem pengereman udara yang berfungsi sebagai pengatur tekanan antara brake cylinder, auxiliary reservoir dan brake pipe pada sistem pengereman yang memerlukan perawatan. Kenyataan di lapangan, pada saat dilakukan perawatan masih ditemukan gangguan pada distributor valve, sehingga hal tersebut dinilai menghambat efektifitas perawatan. Oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja penyebab sering terjadinya gangguan pada perawatan distributor valve. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisa menggunakan diagram pareto untuk mengetahui presentase gangguan yang sering terjadi pada hasil perawatan distributor valve. Setelah dilakukan analisa, hasilnya adalah 1) tekanan pada brake cylinder lebih dari 3.8 bar sebesar 37,7 %, 2) waktu release lebih dari 20s waktu (standar 15-20s) sebesar 26,6 %, 3) waktu application/brake lebih dari 5s (standar 3-5s) sebesar 20 % dan 4) kebocoran pada celah-celah distributor valve sebesar 15,5 %. Dari hasil penelitian dan pengamatan langsung di lapangan dapat diketahui bahwa faktor penyebab gangguan setelah dilakukan perawatan distributor valve pada kereta adalah ketidaksesuaian prosedur dan alat yang digunakan untuk merawat distributor valve.

Abstract

This study was structured with the aim to determine the effect of changing the brake cylinder from 10 inches to 12 inches in the Open Carriage, because this Open Carriage is the only car that has two different brake cylinders from the other Carriage. The study was conducted by calculating the percentage of braking on the use of 10-inch and 12-inch type brake cylinders on the Open Carriage used at Balai Yasa Surabaya Gubeng. Calculate the working time and release time on the brake cylinder with a size of 10 inches and 12 inches of pressure 0.4 to 3.8 kg / cm2. Calculates the braking distance assuming the type of locomotive and the number of carriages drawn are the same. The study produced work time and release time that varied results, namely faster work time on BC 12 inch and faster release time on BC 10 inch. The results of the braking percentage that has been obtained from calculations with the standard braking percentage is 40% <l £ 120%. From the standard determined according to UIC, the use of a 10 inch brake cylinder does not meet the requirements of the braking percentage calculation when the load is full, and for a 12 inch brake cylinder can meet the specified requirements. The results of the percentage of brake block pressure that has been obtained from calculations with the standard braking percentage is 30% <þ 85%. From the standard determined according to UIC, the use of a 10 inch brake cylinder does not meet the requirements in the calculation of the percentage of the full charge brake block pressure, while for a 12 inch brake cylinder it meets. The braking distance obtained from the calculated simulation results with predetermined factors results in the braking distance for BC 12 inch being closer than that using 10 inch BC. To improve the results of this study it is necessary to test the brake cylinder components dynamically.

Abstract

Distributor valve is one part of the air braking system that functions as a pressure regulator between the brake cylinder, auxiliary reservoir and brake pipe on the braking system that requires maintenance. In reality in the field, there is maintenance still found disturbances in the distributor valve, so it is considered to hamper the effectiveness of maintenance. Therefore it is necessary to make research to find out what are the factors that often cause interference with distributor valve maintenance. In this study an analysis was done using a Pareto diagram to determine the percentage of interference that often occurs in the distributor valve maintenance results. After analysis, the results are 1) the pressure on the brake cylinder is more than 3.8 bar at 37.7%, 2) the release time is more than 20s time (standard 15-20s) at 26.6%, 3) the application / brake time is more than 5s (3-5s standard) at 20% and 4) leakage in the distributor valve cracks at 15.5%. From the results of research and direct observation in the field it can be seen that the factors causing interference after distributor valve maintenance on the train is the incompatibility of procedures and tools used to treat distributor valves.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk memberikan kemudahan kepada tenaga perawat lokomotif di golongan kelistrikan khususnya pada pelepasan inner race bearing pada generator lokomotif. Hal itu dikarenakan Proses pelepasan inner race bearing pada generator lokomotif dengan tenaga manual dapat menyebabkan risiko terhadap keselamatan pekerja maupun pada kecacatan generator tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabidan ini berupa perancangan, desain dan manufaktur, serta sosialisasi penggunaan alat dan penyerahan alat kepada Balai Yasa Yogyakarta. Hasil desain dan menufatur alat pelepas inner race bearing pada generator dipraktikan dan diuji di workshop Balai Yasa Yogyakarta. Pengujian ini menggunakan variabel yaitu waktu pelepasan dan efisiensi jumlah tenaga. Pengujian dilakukan sebanyak empat kali dengan jumlah tenaga perawatan yang melakukan perawatan yaitu sejumlah 2 orang dan rata-rata pelepasan adalah 2,8 detik. Alat ini di serahkan kepada Balai Yasa Yogyakarta supaya dapat digunakan untuk memudahkan perawatan lokomotif.

Abstract

Light Rail Transit (LRT Jabodebek) is a light rail train that serves 2 operational crossings, namely cibubur Line and Bekasi Line. The problem that occurs in Jabodebek LRT is abnormal wheel flange wear. This problem will have an impact on the wheel life to be shorter. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the cross that has the most influence on the wear rate of the Jabodebek LRT wheel flange and find out when turning will be carried out. The flange measurement data obtained from daily and monthly maintenance data will be analyzed using the simple linear regression method. The value of flange wear caused by Lintas Harjamukti-Dukuh Atas of 0.00285 mm in one trip is greater than Lintas Jatimulya-Dukuh Atas of 0.001295 mm. While trainset 1 will be turned after traveling 117,962 km or 3944 trips, trainset 2 will be turned after traveling 74,061 or 2424 trips, trainset 13 will be turned after traveling 237,295 km or 7908 trips, trainset 18 will be turned after traveling 85,911 km or 2707 trips. Therefore, the Harjamukti-Dukuh Atas section has a greater influence on the wear that occurs compared to the Jatimulya-Dukuh Atas section.

Abstract

Lubrication can be defined as the provision of lubricating materials to a machine that aims to prevent direct contact between moving surfaces. Viscosity is a very important property in lubricating oil. Sampling of engine oil was carried out on locomotives CC 206 13 18 and CC 206 13 45 at Depo Lokomotif Sidotopo Daop 8 Surabaya. Testing of engine oil samples was carried out at the ITS Surabaya Laboratory and PT Sucofindo Surabaya based on ASTM D 445-97, ASTM D 95-13, and ASTM D 482 standards. The results of the test will be compared with the locomotive engine oil eligibility limit standard. From the tests carried out, it was found that the oil in CC 206 13 18 produced a kinematic viscosity of 15.86 cSt, water contamination of 0.07%, and dissolved solid pollutants of 0.973%. CC 206 13 45 produces a kinematic viscosity of 15.38 cSt, water contamination of 0.06%, and dissolved solid pollutants of 0.917%. From the tests on the two locomotives, it was found that the kinematic viscosity, water contamination, and dissolved solid pollutants of engine oil CC 206 13 18 and CC 206 13 45 are still within the limits of feasibility. Kinematic viscosity can affect the maximum mileage of the locomotive. The result on CC 206 13 18 is 186,962 km and on CC 206 13 45 is 194,352 km. So the oil can still be used beyond the manufacturer's specified distance limit.

Abstract

Keselamatan perkeretaapian termasuk lintas di jalur rel yang dilalui oleh kereta api merupakan aspek penting dalam sistem transportasi publik di Indonesia. Perlintasan sebidang yang di tutup biasanya akan dibuat dalam bentuk flyover agar kendaraan tidak lagi melintasi jalur rel, namun jalur rel yang tersedia sering dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat untuk tempat berkumpul. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas sosialisasi keselamatan perkeretaapian di jalur kereta api ganda yang terletak di bawah flyover Ring Road Barat Kota Madiun. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi survei, wawancara, dan observasi lapangan untuk mengumpulkan data dari masyarakat sekitar. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai keselamatan di perlintasan kereta api yang berada di bawah flyover.
