Abstract

Plastik merupakan salah satu jenis sampah yang volumenya semakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun. Seiring dengan perkembangan ekonomi, penggunaan plastik semakin meningkat. Hal ini dikarenakan oleh keunggulan plastik dibanding dengan jenis material yang lain seperti ringan, kuat, tahan korosi, sifat insulasi yang baik dan mudah diwarnai. Karakteristik sampah plastik yang berbeda dengan sampah organik adalah sulitnya terurai di dalam tanah, diperlukan waktu puluhan atau ratusan tahun agar dapat terdegradasi sempurna. Oleh karena itu, penanganan sampah plastik dengan sistem landfill maupun open dumping bukan merupakan pilihan yang tepat.  Seiring perkembangan jaman, banyak hal yang dilakukan untuk mengurai sampah plastik khususnya adalah botol plastik, di antaranya adalah mendaur ulang kembali sampah botol plastik tersebut dengan cara dihancurkan terlebih dahulu. Penghancuran limbah plastik diharapkan dapat mengurangi limbah botol plastik menjadi hal yang buruk bagi lingkungan dan juga meminimalisir adanya pemalsuan botol plastik sehingga dapat melindungi hak konsumen sebagai pengguna sehari hari seperti botol oli, botol air mineral dan botol botol plastik ringan lainya. Kelurahan Menteng Jakarta Pusat memiliki bank sampah, namun pengelolaan sampah khususnya sampah plastik dalam bentuk botol belum optimal. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan pengenalan mengenai sistem kerja mesin crusher botol plastik dan pemberian hibah mesin tersebut kepada warga Menteng Jakarta Pusat. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat membantu industri kecil dan rumah tangga dalam membuka peluang bisnis dari hasil daur ulang botol plastik bekas.Kata Kunci : pelatihan, hibah mesin, mesin crusher, botol plastik

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has reached various regions in Indonesia, including Sumberjaya Village, where internet access—particularly through smartphones—is widely available. While digital media offers numerous benefits, it also presents potential risks. Therefore, understanding appropriate usage guidelines, communication ethics, and information filtering is essential to minimize negative impacts. This community outreach program employed a participatory group method consisting of four main stages: observation, presentation, focus group discussion (FGD), and evaluation. The results of the program indicate that participants have significantly improved their digital literacy across three core dimensions: technological proficiency, cognitive awareness, and ethical behavior. These enhancements are expected to contribute positively to the community’s overall quality of life and resilience in navigating digital environments. Kemajuan teknologi digital telah merambah berbagai daerah di Indonesia, termasuk Desa Sumberjaya, yang akses internetnya sudah sangat luas, khususnya melalui telepon pintar. Media digital menawarkan banyak manfaat, tetapi juga berpotensi menimbulkan risiko. Oleh karena itu, pemahaman tentang pedoman penggunaan, etika komunikasi, dan penyaringan informasi yang tepat sangat penting untuk meminimalkan dampak negatif. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menggunakan metode kelompok partisipatif yang terdiri dari empat tahap utama: observasi, presentasi, diskusi kelompok terfokus (FGD), dan evaluasi. Hasil program menunjukkan bahwa peserta telah meningkatkan literasi digital secara signifikan dalam tiga dimensi inti: kemahiran teknologi, kesadaran kognitif, dan perilaku etis. Peningkatan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap kualitas hidup masyarakat secara keseluruhan dan ketahanan dalam mengarungi lingkungan digital.

Abstract

The effectiveness possessed by manufacturing machines is a parameter used to determine the performance of a company's manufacturing process. Effectiveness can be shown in the form of percentages as effective as a manufacturing process is carried out. Effectiveness can be a reference for companies in the implementation of production by evaluating charts of production that are considered less effective and do not meet standards. The factors that affect the effectiveness of a production machine can be seen in the availability or capability, quality, and performance where in this article the overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) method which has a production period of one month is used to get the effectiveness of the production process carried out. The results obtained in this study were 88.53% in the first week of proposition, 94.63% in the second week of production, and 91.58% in the third and last week of production.

Abstract

Adhesive technology has seen significant advancements in recent years. Compared to welding or threaded joints, adhesives provide a straightforward mechanism for joining material interfaces. Due to practicality allows for the potential development of adhesives with strengths comparable to those of traditional joints. In this study, a modified type of Polyvinyl Acetate (PVAc) adhesive was utilized as a binder for mahogany wood surfaces. The choice of PVAc adhesive is due to its common use in everyday applications, particularly in the woodworking industry. Additionally, this adhesive is relatively safe for both health and the environment. The study examined three types of adhesives: PVAc white adhesive, PVAc yellow adhesive, and a combination of the PVAc white and yellow adhesive. These adhesives were used to bond the wood surfaces, and the bond strength at the interface was evaluated through a flexural test. The results showed that the adhesive strength of white adhesive reached 111 MPa, while the mixed adhesive and yellow adhesive exhibited flexural strengths of 74.2 MPa and 63.4 MPa, respectively. Notably, the presence of white glue was found to enhance the flexural strength of mahogany wood even in the absence of adhesive.
