Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is one of the causes of mortality in the world. Hypertension is often referred to as the silent killer because it is often without complaints, a serious condition that significantly increases the risk of heart, brain, kidney, and other diseases. Complications in patients with hypertension can be life-threatening, so pharmacological therapies is wet cupping which can lower blood pressure. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of wet cupping on hypertension. Methods: The method in this study uses the PICOS framework, namely Population/problem (P), Intervention (I), Comparison (C), Outcome (O), and study design (S). In the early stages of article selection, 68 articles were found from the PubMed database, ProQuest, Elsevier, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Harvard Library, Springer Link, ResearchGate, Taylor and Francis search engine after further matching, 60 article were selected, then 53 articles were excluded because they were not appropritate. With problems, intervention, study design, and no effect of wet cupping on hypertension so that 7 articles were obtained that matched the research topic. Results: The results of the search that wet cupping affects hypertension, this is evidenced from before and after the wet cupping intervention was given, namely there was a significant decrease in systole and diastole with p-value <0,05. This wet cupping treatment is more effective, given once a month for satisfactory results with an adminstration time of 15-30 minutes.Conclusion: This treatment is highly recommended to the general public, health clinics, hospitals, and health workers and this treatment provides many benefits.

Abstract

Abstrak Status gizi merupakan keadaan yang diakibatkan oleh keseimbangan antara asupan zat gizi dari makanan dengan kebutuhan nutrisi yang diperlukan oleh untuk metabolisme. Anak usia 1-3 tahun (toddler) adalah masa dimana anak mulai terjadi kemajuan dalam perkembangan motorik, istilah masa sering disebut terrible two. Status gizi merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan motorik kasar pada anak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan perkembangan motorik kasar anak usia 1-3 tahun (toddler). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasi korelasi dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dari penelitian ini anak yang berusia 1-3 tahun dan terdaftar di Posyandu Dusun Kaligatuk, dengan jumlah 32 anak. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah teknik total sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah antropometri dan lembar Denver Development Screening Test (Denver II). Penggunaan uji statistik pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji spearman. Hasil uji analisis spearman didapatkan p value 0,090 (α=0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hubungan antara variabel status gizi dengan perkembangan motorik kasar tidak signifikan. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh keterbatasan peneliti dalam mengontrol faktor pengganggu, diantaranya yaitu: pengalaman, asupan makanan anak, status ekonomi dan pendidikan orang tua.

Abstract

HFMD is an infectious disease that occurs in children under five, especially at school or daycare. This research aims to determine the effect of providing health education according to Islamic teachings on the level of parents' knowledge about HFMD in toddlers. The research design used Quasi-Experimental with Group Pretest and Post Test Design. The sample in this research was 22 respondents with a total sampling technique. The analysis used in this research was univariate analysis and paired t-test analysis. The results of the study used the paired t-test and found that there were significant differences in the pretest and posttest values of parents' knowledge about HFMD in children under five with a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05). This research concluded that there was an effect of providing health education according to Islamic teachings on the level of parents' knowledge about HFMD in children under five.

Abstract

Pengetahuan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan merupakan hal penting dalam pencegahan kondisi gawat darurat. Kekurangan pengetahuan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan terjadi karena paparan materi terkait yang kurang. Prevalensi kecelakaan pada anak SMA di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta masih tinggi. Salah satu cara dan metode untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan adalah edukasi dengan simulasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh edukasi dengan metode simulasi terhadap pengetahuan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan. Metode penelitian yang digunaka adalah pre-experimental design dengan pendekatan one group pretest posttest design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu total sampling sebanyak 43 responden. Penelitian dilakukan di MA ICBB Bantul pada Mei 2023. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh edukasi dengan metode simulasi terhadap pengetahuan pertolongan pertama pada kecelakaan (p value 0,000). Edukasi pertolongan peratama pada kecelakaan dengan metode simulasi dapat dilakukan

Abstract

Latar belakang: Anak usia pra sekolah (3 – 6 tahun) mengalami proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat. Salah satu aspek perkembangan anak adalah motorik halus, dimana anak mengembangkan kemampuan gerak dan koordinasi tubuh. Gangguan ini akan berdampak pada perkembangan tahap berikutnya, menurunkan percaya diri, dan sulit beradaptasi dengan lingkungan. Terapi bermain menggunakan media plastisin diharapkan mampu mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan: mengetahui efektivitas terapi bermain plastisin dalam meningkatkan ketrampilan motorik halus anak usia prasekolah. Metode: metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasy exsperimental pendekatan one group pretest posttest. Populasi penelitian sejumlah 35 anak usia prasekolah di TK ABA KKN Srandakan Bantul yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan: plastisin, SOP terapi bermain plastisin, dan formulir Denver Development Skrining Test/ DDST II. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil: mayoritas anak berjenis kelamin laki-laki sejumlah 22 orang (62,85%), usia 6 tahun yakni 18 orang (51,42%), mayoritas pretest kategori suspect 22 orang (62.85%) dan mayoritas posttest kategori normal 31 orang (88.56%). Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan p value 0.000. Kesimpulan: Terdapat pengaruh intervensi terapi bermain plastisin dalam meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus anak usia prasekolah.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic is still engulfing the world today. The number of morbidity and mortality due to COVID-19 is increasing every day. ARI is one of the symptoms that show Covid-19. Almost every toddler experiences ARI in life. Toddlers who are placed in child care have a high risk of transmitting and contracting ARI. Community service activities aim to provide education on Prevention of Transmission of ARI in Toddler Children During the Covid-19 Pandemic so that preventive thinking can be achieved. The method used in this community service activity is interactive lectures and discussions. This community service activity resulted in four discussions, namely how to deal with colds that don't go away, how to measure the dose of paracetamol for babies aged 1 year, if the drug is bought from a pharmacy, natural cough medicine for babies 1 year and over and cough cold treatment for babies 1 year old. down. Abstract

Singapore flu is an infectious disease that is very easy to spread, especially in schools and occurs in toddlers. Based on the request of KB and TPA Bunayya ICBB, to help the problem of Singapore flu suffered by toddlers, community service was conducted by giving counseling and presentation. The service aimed to increase the knowledge of parents of toddlers about the Singapore flu. The participants of this activity were parents of children under five at the KB and TPA Bunayya ICBB as many as 22 people. The method is the empowerment of parents and the school, namely problem assessment, solution planning, implementation to evaluation involving parents and the school. This activity was carried out for 1 month from May 24 – June 27, 2022. The results of the activity found that the average score before education was 76 and the average score after education was 100. Based on the results of the activity, it can be concluded that Singapore flu education can increase the knowledge of parents of toddlers.

Abstract

Cardiac arrest is often discovered by ordinary people. The ability of ordinary people to act as first responders is an important key to the success of saving victims of cardiac arrest. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, first responders are really in need of assistance. The increased mortality rate due to COVID-19 is the reason basic life support training during the COVID-19 pandemic is urgently needed. This training aims to increase the knowledge and skills of participants. The training method was stimulation of Practice while Watching via online video with three materials: CPR for adults, CPR for babies, and Choking and Recovery Position skill stations, which were evaluated for each participant. The results of the training found the knowledge and skills of the participants after receiving training and simulation assistance when carrying out all the skills in this activity were better than before being given training.

Abstract

Emergencies and disasters can happen anywhere and anytime. These conditions require first aid in order to minimize morbidity and mortality. First aid is obtained through basic life support training provided by trainers. A first aid trainer requires training in basic life support trainers in order to be able to train first aiders. Training for basic life support trainers is carried out with the aim of preparing prospective trainers who are able to teach knowledge and skills to first aiders. The methods used in the training for trainers are lectures, simulations and demonstrations. The results of the training showed that 45.45% (10 participants) passed the written and practical exams, 45.45% (10 participants) only passed the practical exams and 9% (2 participants) only passed the written exam. The conclusion of the training was that not all the participants who took part were able to pass the written and practical exams so that they needed re-participation as participants in the same activity.
