Abstract

Introduction: Medical interventions for pulmonary heart resuscitation in patients with DNR raise a conflict situation among nurses, where faced with two equally unsatisfactory decisions that are contrary to ethical principles. The practical approach that can be taken is to build patient and family confidence, define their goals, and apply ethical principles of autonomy: beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice. This research aims to find out the ethical dilemma of DNR in nursing practice. Methods: A literature review was conducted using three journal databases: ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar. Kata kunci dalam tinjauan pustaka ini disesuaikan dengan Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) yang terdiri dari “ethic” AND “principle based” AND “do not resuscitate” AND “nursing ethic”. Several inclusion criteria were set to obtain eligible articles: published between 2014 and 2023, and written in English or Bahasa. Fifteen eligible articles were finally included in the analysis. Results: Four subthemes were found: factors that influence DNR decisions, knowledge and understanding of health professionals related to DNR, ethical dilemmas, and care of DNR patients. Conclusion: The DNR decision requires ethical competence based on DNR information and understanding. The DNR decisions are based on the principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice. The role of a nurse tends to be psychosocial intervention.

Abstract

Schizophrenia patients often experience significant challenges in daily functioning, leading to dependence on caregivers and imposing a substantial burden on families. This literature review aims to examine the effectiveness of telenursing-based psychoeducation in improving family knowledge and reducing family burden in the care of schizophrenia patients. A comprehensive literature review was conducted, analyzing 15 articles published between August 2014 and August 2024. Articles were sourced from Google Scholar and PubMed for English-language studies, and Google Scholar for Indonesian-language studies. The PRISMA framework and PICO methodology guided the selection and analysis of relevant studies. The findings from the 15 selected articles demonstrate that telenursing-based psychoeducation effectively reduces family burden and enhances caregivers' knowledge in managing schizophrenia patients. Various approaches, including telenursing interventions, technology-based applications, and traditional psychoeducation methods, provide significant benefits and can be integrated into mental health care practices. The successful implementation of telenursing-based psychoeducation requires active commitment, resilience, and collaboration from both nurses and family members involved in the care of schizophrenia patients.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain empirical evidence on the influence of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Good Corporate Governance (GCG) on financial performance. CSR and GCG are measured using data from the 2020–2022 period, while financial performance, proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), is analyzed for the 2021–2023 period. The object of this research is mining sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sample was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 17 companies with a total of 51 observational data points over three years. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results show that CSR and GCG have a positive effect on the financial performance of the companies. These findings indicate that effective implementation of CSR and GCG can enhance a company's legitimacy in the eyes of stakeholders, thereby contributing to improved financial performance in the subsequent period.
