Abstract

Learning in general is a process of interaction between educators, students and their environment. Learning is a series of complex activities, in essence not only conveying subject matter but also requires the teacher to use all the basic skills in teaching. This study aims to examine: 1) significant differences in learning outcomes using the cooperative model with the help of LKS and conventional learning; 2) student activities in learning by using cooperative models with the help of worksheets. This type of research is experimental research. This experimental research design uses a control group pre-test-post-test design pattern. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The data analysis technique uses the t-test statistical test formula and the percentage of student activity. The results of this study showed that there was a significant difference between learning outcomes using the Cooperative Model with LKS Assistance and conventional learning, as well as the percentage value of student activity while participating in learning using the Cooperative Model with classical LKS Assistance of 78.43% included in the active criteria. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant difference between learning outcomes using the Cooperative Model with the help of LKS and conventional learning in Class III students of SDN Bumianyar II Academic Year 2020/2021 and the learning activities of class III students of SDN Bumianyar II Academic Year 2020/2021 while participating in learning using The Cooperative Model with the Help of LKS is included in the active category.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: Elementary education in Indonesia continues to face significant challenges in developing students’ writing skills, particularly in constructing correct interrogative sentences. To address this issue, this study explores the use of traditional games, specifically the engklek game, as an innovative pedagogical tool to enhance interrogative writing abilities among elementary school students. Methodology: This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative approach, involving 60 fifth-grade students divided into an experimental group (using the engklek game) and a control group (using conventional instructional methods). Data were gathered through pre-test and post-test assessments consisting of 20 multiple-choice questions targeting interrogative writing skills. Statistical analysis was conducted to measure learning gains and treatment effects. Main Findings: The results demonstrated that students in the experimental group achieved a significantly higher post-test average score (19.33) compared to the control group (11.45). The N-Gain score analysis revealed a moderate improvement (0.72) for the experimental group, while the control group exhibited only low improvement (0.35). These findings affirm that integrating the engklek game can meaningfully boost students' ability to construct interrogative sentences. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study introduces a novel intersection between traditional cultural practices and modern pedagogical needs by demonstrating how the engklek game typically associated with physical activity can be repurposed as an effective literacy development tool. It offers new insights into culturally responsive teaching strategies, advocating for the systematic integration of indigenous games into formal curricula to enhance engagement, contextualize learning, and improve academic outcomes in foundational language skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the application of the Snowball-Throwing learning model based on local wisdom on the critical reasoning ability of grade IV students in science lessons at SDN Lalangon 1. The quantitative method was used in this study with a quasi-experimental design of a nonequivalent control group, which involved the experimental class and the control class. Simple random sampling was used to determine the control class and the experimental class, so that the control class was class IVA (23 students) and the experimental class was class IVB (22 students). Data collection techniques include interviews, tests, observations and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive data analysis, normality test, homogeneity, and independent T-test on normal data, and Mann-Whitney test on abnormal data with the help of SPSS-23. The results showed that the average post-test of the control class (65,217) was lower than that of the experimental class (77,841). The results of the independent T-test had a significance value of 0.024 ( 0.05), proving that the Snowball-Throwing model based on local wisdom had a significant effect on students' critical reasoning skills in the fourth-grade science lesson of SDN Lalangon 1. In addition, the average achievement of critical reasoning indicators in the experimental class (66%) was higher than that of the control class (44%). Thus, this learning model is not only effective in improving students' critical reasoning skills, but also introducing local wisdom of traditional Sumenep food in a meaningful way.

Abstract

Setiap korporasi pada dasarnya memiliki tanggung jawab sosial yang wajib dilakukan, salah satunya melalui program kemitraan dan pemberdayaan yang ditujukan bagi masyarakat. Penelitian ini berupaya mendeskripsikan bagaimana tanggung jawab UPT Kawasan Wisata Dinas Pariwisata Taman Balekambang Surakarta dalam Program Pengembangan Kemitraan Masyarakat melalui community relation. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Selanjutnya, pemilihan informan dilakukan secara purposif dan berdasarkan pertimbangan atas ketercukupan data yang diperlukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan community relations diimplementasikan melalui kerjasama dan koordinasi dari pengelola Taman Balekambang sebagai publik internal, dengan pihak sanggar dan sejumlah komunitas seni sebagai publik eksternalnya. Program ini dapat dilihat melalui beragam kegiatan kesenian yang diselenggarakan, antara lain seperti: pementasan ketoprak, sendratari, pasar seni, dan event lainnya. Namun demikian, program community relations secara khusus bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam kemitraan pariwisata sehingga mampu menjadi bentuk tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan terhadap publiknya. Mengenai implementasi community relations, program ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yakni: 1) pra-program yang meliputi perencanaan serta analisis permasalahan program; 2) implementasi pelaksanaan yang berupa penyelenggarakaan program kegiatan; serta 3) pasca program yang diarahkan pada proses evaluasi program dan pelaksanaannya guna menentukan rekomendasi baru atas program kegiatan yang telah serta akan dijalankan selanjutnya.

Abstract

Secara umum, kesulitan dalam proses pembelajaran adalah guru menggunakan pendekatan ceramah untuk menyampaikan konten pembelajaran. Selain itu, guru membimbing siswa melalui tugas, debat, latihan, dan sesi tanya jawab, serta pendekatan pembelajaran umum lainnya. Media flipbook menyediakan opsi alternatif untuk menilai kemampuan menulis siswa. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk mengetahui pengaruh media flipbook terhadap keterampilan menulis di Sekolah Dasar Tanah merah 1 di sumenep. Penelitian ini bersifat kuasi-eksperimental, dengan desain kelompok kontrol nonequivalent. Sampel adalah siswa kelas IV A dan siswa kelas IV B masing-masing dengan jumlah 18 siswa. Strategi pengumpulan data meliputi tes. Sementara itu, prosedur analisis data menggunakan instrumentasi dan tes analisis data berdasarkan temuan penelitian dengan memanfaatkan IBM SPSS 20. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, media flipbook berpengaruh nyata terhadap keterampilan menulis siswa di SDN Tanah Merah 1 dengan nilai rata-rata pre-test sebesar 61,77 dan nilai rata-rata post-test sebesar 86,74.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in Natural Science (IPA) learning at SDN Gunggung 1. The focus of this study lies in learning strategies, media utilization, and supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of CTL. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through direct observation and structured interviews with science teachers. The results of the study indicate that teachers have applied the principles of contextual learning by linking science concepts, such as ecosystems and food chains, to students' real experiences in the school environment. Teachers use lecture methods, question and answer, group discussions, and presentations of work results to create an active and meaningful learning atmosphere. The learning media used include textbooks, teaching modules, and simple visual aids that help students understand the relationships between ecosystem components. The main obstacles faced are limited audio-visual media and low reading interest among some students, but teachers try to overcome these through more varied and enjoyable learning activities. Overall, the implementation of CTL in science learning at SDN Gunggung 1 shows positive potential in improving students' conceptual understanding and learning motivation through real experiences that are relevant to everyday life.
