Abstract

The temperature, humidity, and CO2 level monitoring system based on the Internet of Things provides real-time data with a high level of accuracy, accessible through technological devices such as smartphones, tablets, and notebooks. A commonly used IoT platform for this purpose is Blynk. In vocational high schools, students have been taught theoretically but have not implemented it effectively. Therefore, a community service activity was conducted through training on developing a temperature, humidity, and CO2 level monitoring system based on the Internet of Things for 50 students at SMK Negeri 1 Tomohon. This training is purposeful to provide students with knowledge and skills in using the temperature, humidity, and CO2 level monitoring system based on the Internet of Things. The methods used in this activity included socialization, training, practical sessions, demonstrations, and evaluations. Based on the training results, 90% of the students were able to understand the material well. The students were able to create a temperature, humidity, and CO2 level monitoring system based on the Internet of Things with good results.

Abstract

Supervisi pendidikan memainkan peran kunci dalam pengembangan tenaga kependidikan, meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pembinaan keterampilan kepala sekolah dan guru. Fokusnya termasuk pengembangan metode pengajaran yang inovatif, penyesuaian kurikulum, dan peningkatan sarana prasarana. Supervisi efektif mendukung keterlibatan guru, menciptakan lingkungan belajar kondusif, dan membantu pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan. Meskipun dihadapi hambatan seperti kompleksitas tugas kepala sekolah dan kurangnya persiapan guru, solusinya melibatkan peningkatan keterampilan kepala sekolah dan dukungan pemerintah. Supervisi pendidikan menjadi alat vital untuk mencapai keterampilan pengajaran yang lebih baik dan hasil belajar yang optimal bagi siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to measure the effectiveness of using Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s writing skill on descriptive text. There were three research questions proposed in this study, namely: 1) How are the students writing skill on descriptive text before treatment? 2) How the implementation of web graphic organizer 3) How is the effectiveness of Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s writing skill on descriptive text. The research design of this study consist of pre-test, treatment and post-test. The final finding of this study showed that t0 on degree of significance 5% that was 1.67 Therefore, the result of t-test showed that t0 < tt or 3.43 > 1.67. In brief, t-test show that Ha or alternative hypothesis was accepted. The hypothesis test shows the effect size in this study is 0.85, while strong effect category is (0.51->1.00). In other words, It can be drawn a conclusion that there is a significant effect of using Web Graphic Organizer to enhance student’s writing skill on descriptive text at the tenth grade of MA Raudhlatul Ulum Anyer.

Abstract

This article provides a brief review of psycholinguistic research that has been conducted to reveal the processes and representations of bilingualism that occur in a multicultural society, especially. The main conclusion from the description of the different levels of representation that has been presented both at the lexical level, semantic level, and syntactic level is that bilingual speakers always experience different languages as long as their use continues. Both bilingual speakers and speech partners benefit from the universal characteristics of the languages they master in an integrated manner. In line with this conclusion, recommendations that can be given regarding psycholinguistic research are on the study of language control and language transfer.

Abstract

Utilizing cover crops like Passiflora foetida L. (rambusa) can mitigate significant environmental issues in post-coal mining terrain rehabilitation. Plants thriving in extreme environments are known for producing high levels of secondary metabolites with significant biochemical activity. This study sought to assess the antifungal and antibacterial effects of P. foetida root extracts derived from rehabilitated coal mine soil in East Kalimantan. The roots were macerated with solvents of differing polarity (ethanol, ethyl acetate, and n-hexane) for extracting specific fractions. Utilizing the Kirby-Bauer disc diffusion method, the antifungal efficacy was assessed against Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, and Candida lipolytica at a 60% concentration. Conversely, the antibacterial efficacy was assessed against Shigella dysenteriae, Streptococcus mutans, and Cutibacterium acnes at a 10% concentration. The findings revealed that the fraction consisting of ethyl acetate demonstrated the most potent and extensive antibacterial efficacy. The ethanol extract and ethyl acetate fraction exhibited significant antifungal activity, particularly against C. tropicalis, with inhibitory zones that were similar to those of the positive control, fluconazole. The treatments exhibited significant differences, as confirmed by statistical analysis (ANOVA and Tukey's HSD test). Studies indicate that that P. foetida roots, particularly those from harsh settings, are a significant source of antimicrobial chemicals, with the semi-polar ethyl acetate fraction being the most promising for further development as a natural antibacterial and antifungal agent.
