Abstract

Introduction: Globally there are estimated cases of infertility in 8%-10% of couples, if from the global picture of the population then about 50-80 million couples (1 in 7 couples) or about 2 million new infertile pairs each year and this number continues to increase. In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) can be a solution for infertile patients. There are two IVF programs, namely with short protocols and long protocols, each protocol has benefits and limitations, The long protocol was the most widely used protocol prior to the introduction of GnRH antagonists (short protocols) in IVF centers around the world, but high cost constraints leads change over to the short protocol method. In its journey, the average success rate of IVF cycles ranges from 25-30%, while in Indonesia it is 29% for one cycle of long protocol. Thus, this study aims to determine characteristics of success rate patients undergoing ivf with long protocol at ivf clinic Sanglah General Hospital. Methods: This research is a descriptive study using medical record data and the sampling technique is saturation sampling. The data obtained according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria were 4 data which were analyzed descriptively for each case. Result: This study shows that out of 87 cases underwent the ivf program at RSUP Sanglah Clinic only 4 cases who underwent IVF with the long protocol, only 1 case was success, the age of the male partner was 35 years old and the female partner was 35 years old with primary infertile status for 4 years, had a total of 12 oocytes and 4 embryos and appropriate for the long protocol criteria. IVF with levels of ?-hCG 204.1 mIU / ml and get Geneli's pregnancy. Conclusion: During the 2014-2017 period, only 4 cases of patients undergoing IVF with the long protocol method were found, 3 cases with ?-hCG <50,2 did not get live birth while 1 case with ?-hCG> 50,2 had a viable pregnancy.

Abstract

This research is about the legal impact for health facilities in filling out inauthentic birth certificate data. A birth certificate is a vital official document in population administration, serving as proof of birth and the basis for access to public services. However, inauthentic data entry can occur due to human error or intent to deceive, which has the potential to have significant legal impacts for the health facilities (faskes) that issue it. This research aims to examine the legal impacts faced by health facilities due to filling out inauthentic birth certificate data and examine the legal enforcement process for health facilities that issue birth certificates with inaccurate data.   This research will analyze the legal impact on health facilities regarding filling out inauthentic birth certificate data using a normative juridical legal approach. The focus is on regulations governing population administration and the legal responsibilities of health facilities. The methods used include regulatory studies, jurisprudential studies. Findings show that legal impacts include administrative sanctions, revocation of operational permits, and lawsuits, while the law enforcement process involves monitoring, investigation, data verification, and public education. With a deep understanding of this problem, it is hoped that research can provide solutions to increase accuracy in filling out birth certificates and maintain the integrity of the population administration system

Abstract

Abstract

According to Law No. 4 of 2019 concerning Midwifery, midwives are recognized as part of the health workforce, alongside physicians, who are authorized to provide medical services. In practice, midwives interact directly with both patients and other healthcare professionals during service delivery. In many instances, a delegation of authority from physicians, especially specialists, to midwives is necessary to ensure effective inter-professional collaboration. This study aims to know about legal accountability in the delegation of authority from obstetricians to midwives in maternal and child hospitals. The research employed a literature review design using a comprehensive strategy. Articles were sourced from international research journal databases accessed via the internet, specifically ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar. All searches were conducted in May-June 2025, focusing on articles published between 2016 and 2024. The keywords used in this literature review were adapted from the Medical Subject Heading (MeSH) terms, including "legal accountability,” “the delegation of authority from obstetricians to midwives,” “maternal,” and “legal and policy aspects.” A total of 265 articles were identified, with 40 articles meeting the criteria and having full-text access, and 6 articles ultimately meeting the inclusion criteria. The findings of various juridical studies reveal two major themes concerning the delegation of authority from obstetrician-gynecologists to midwives within hospital settings: (1) the limitation of delegation authority, and (2) the lack of legal responsibility from both parties involved. The legal accountability involved in the delegation of authority from an obstetrician to a midwife encompasses three domains: civil liability, criminal liability, and administrative liability.
