Abstract

he pupose of this research is to build a business strategy through managerial factors as the owner and external business environment in improving corporate performance (Studies on food SMEs in Semarang).Samples were SMEs food in the city, a total of 106 respondents. Structural Equation Model (SEM) was run by AMOS software was used to analyze the data. The analysis showed that the business strategy through managerial factors as the owner and external business environment positive effect in improving corporate performance.The empirical findings indicate that factors managerial positive influence on business strategy, the external environment has positive influence on business strategy, managerial factors have positive influence on the performance of the company. The external environment is not positive effect on the company's performance and business strategy did not affect the company's performance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada fenomena investasi yang dilakukan oleh generasi x dan milenial dalam masa pandemi virus Covid-19 pada emas berbasis aplikasi. Dimana yang menjadi tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui strategi yang digunakan dan alasan Investor Emas berbasis Aplikasi pada Generasi X dan Milenial berinvestasi selama masa Pandemi Covid-19. Para Investor Emas berbasis Aplikasi pada Generasi X dan Milenial menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada pola/perilaku investasi yang dapat diidentifikasi yang berkaitan dengan generasi tertentu. Setiap individu memiliki pola investasi masing-masing yang strateginya dipengaruhi oleh nilai, pengalaman, profil risiko, dan tujuan mereka dalam berinvestasi.

Abstract

One of the crucial challenges facing the banking sector currently is Human Resources (HR) management, especially the management of millennial generation employees, who are an essential part of the current workforce. The millennial generation is also expected to drive economic sustainability in the banking sector. This research is aimed to explore the influence of transformational leadership style on the performance of millennial generation employees with self-efficacy as mediation. The object and population of this research are millennial generation employees at PT. Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Persero (Tbk) Semarang Regional Office. Purposive sampling was used to choose participants from the millennial demographic, resulting in a total sample size of 106 employees (N=106). A closed questionnaire given to research participants provided the data. This research employs a quantitative methodology. Using Smart PLS 3 software, data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) technique. The result revealed a clear correlation between transformational leadership styles on the performance of millennial employees. Through self-efficacy as a mediator, the transformational leadership style has an indirect impact on worker performance. The research results can be used as important information for managerial-level leaders of organizations in the banking sector to implement a leadership style appropriate for millennial generation employees to achieve high performance.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of adaptive education on employee empowerment and productivity among Relationship Managers (RMs) at BRIguna, focusing on differences in learning preferences across generations. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study highlights that Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z have different training preferences, with Generation X preferring formal face-to-face training, while Millennials and Gen Z prefer flexible technology-based learning methods. The results emphasize the importance of adaptive education tailored to individual learning styles, indicating that technology-based training has a positive impact on productivity, especially among generations familiar with technology. Direct observation and thematic analysis suggest that blended learning can bridge generational differences, accommodate diverse preferences, and increase engagement and efficiency in the workplace. In addition, adaptive training that is tailored to employees’ learning preferences increases their sense of being valued and empowered, which positively influences their loyalty and commitment. This study contributes to the literature on adaptive education in multigenerational organizations, particularly in the banking sector, by offering insights into the design of effective training programs to maximize productivity, engagement, and retention across generations. These findings also open opportunities for further research on the role of adaptive education in creating a cohesive, inclusive, and productive work environment amidst generational diversity.

Abstract

This research explores the effectiveness of credit insurance in empowering MSMEs, which is one of the important sectors in building the national economy. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a case study of Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), this research analyses changes in the Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio for MSME loans before and after the implementation of credit insurance. Data was collected from a literature review, reports from the Financial Services Authority (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan/OJK), Bank Indonesia, Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, and BRI's internal reports. The findings show that the implementation of credit insurance lowered the NPL ratio in BRI's MSME segment from 3.5% to 2.1% over two years, supporting the role of credit insurance as a risk mitigation tool that transfers default risk to the insurance company. These results strengthen the theory of risk mitigation and have practical implications for banks in expanding access to secure financing for MSMEs. A limitation of this study is its focus on one bank, which means the results may not be generalizable across the board. Policymakers and regulators are encouraged to consider policies that encourage wider adoption of credit insurance for MSMEs. This study offers insights into developing effective risk mitigation strategies for the MSME credit sector.

Abstract

The performance of banking credit in the consumer sector, particularly in property loans, has shown significant improvement in line with the post-pandemic economic recovery. This growth fosters optimism for the consumer business, as reflected by the rising demand for both commercial and FLPP housing each year. The increasing trend in property demand highlights the sector's sustainable growth potential, bolstered by government policies such as tax incentives for property purchases and FLPP housing development programs. Consequently, the opportunity for consumer credit expansion in the Regional Office area is substantial. Additionally, consumer credit significantly enhances the Yogyakarta Regional Office’s performance, given its relatively low non-performing loan (NPL) risk. However, challenges remain in consumer loan marketing, with the KPR achievement rate at 93.01% still below optimal levels. Similarly, as of October 2024, key metrics such as Special Attention Debtors (DPK) and NPL have yet to meet the current year’s RKAP targets. This study aims to examine the impact of transformational leadership on employee performance, focusing on Relationship Managers (RMs) and RM KPP within the Yogyakarta Regional Office. It explores how transformational leadership values—such as inspirational motivation, personal development, and empowerment—affect RMs’ productivity and efficiency in meeting consumer business performance goals. A mixed-methods approach combining surveys and interviews is utilized to gather data from KPP RMs in the Yogyakarta Regional Office, using instruments that assess perceptions of leadership style and its correlation with performance. The findings are expected to offer practical insights for designing leadership training programs to enhance team performance by implementing transformational leadership principles. Furthermore, the study aims to provide recommendations for the banking industry on developing effective leadership strategies to boost consumer credit growth and overall productivity in the Yogyakarta Regional Office.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of synergy and collaboration in bank profitability optimization strategies, with a qualitative focus on branch leaders within the working area of the BRI Regional Office Padang. In-depth interview results reveal that cross-segment and inter-unit synergy and collaboration are strategic elements that form the foundation for addressing the increasingly complex dynamics of the banking industry. Synergy is understood as the alignment of direction and goals among work units, while collaboration is seen as the concrete implementation of integrated cooperation, such as joint canvassing, cross-segment customer referrals, and collective management of data pipelines/leads.These synergistic practices have been proven to enhance financial performance, including growth in Third-Party Funds (DPK), expansion of productive loans, reduction of Non-Performing Loans (NPL), and customer acquisition through local ecosystem development. However, the main challenges in implementation include sectoral egos, differing target segmentations, and siloed mindsets. Branch leaders address these challenges through motivational approaches, team-based reward systems, integration of collaborative Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and support from digital infrastructure.These findings affirm that synergy and collaboration are not merely managerial complements but strategic foundations for creating sustainable profitability and enhancing customer satisfaction within BRI. The study also emphasizes that synergy and collaboration are not just operational tools, but organizational cultures that must be continuously nurtured to holistically support the bank’s profitability.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO), Partnership, and Brand Equity on Business Performance in MSMEs in Semarang City. The method used is quantitative with a SmartPLS approach. The results show that EO has a significant effect on Partnership, Partnership has a significant effect on Brand Equity and Business Performance, and Brand Equity also has a significant effect on Business Performance. This study emphasizes the importance of synergy among variables in improving the business performance of SMEs.
