Abstract

Inflammation can be caused by various stimuli which include physical injury, infection, heat and antigen antibody interactions. Ginger (Kaempferia galanga L.) and Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are medicinal plants that are often used by Indonesians as an alternative to natural medicine and have been studied to have good anti-inflammatory properties because they contain quercetin. This study aims to determine the effective dose of the combination of Ginger ethanol extract and Shallots as anti-inflammatory with a smaller dose. This study was carried out using male rats in 5 treatment groups, consisting of negative control (CMC-Na 0.5 %), control positive (diclofenac Na tablets 0,1 mg/kg body weight rat), and 3 combination doses of Ginger extract: Shallots extract, dose combination I (3 mg/kg body weight Rat: 2 mg / kg body weight Rat), dose combination II (6 mg / kg body weight Rat : 1 mg/kg body weight Rat), and the dose combination III (6 mg/kg body weight Rat: 2 mg kg body weight Rat) using Carrageenan Method on Rat's Feet. The results of the anti-inflammatory activity test showed that all the dose combination treatment groups had anti-inflammatory. The dose combination III was significantly different from the negative control group and showed the most effective dose of combination. The formulated combination shows a synergistic effect between ginger and shallots as an anti-inflammatory. Average percentage (%) of edema inhibition combination III is 71,08 %.

Good fetal growth and development from the mother's womb can give birth to a generation that is healthy, intelligent, and of good character. Good fetal growth is influenced by several factors, namely: Good eating habits, hormonal factors and the environment around the fetus. One way to maximize the process of fetal growth in the womb is that the mother must play an active role in making efforts so that the baby grows actively when born later. one of them is to take advantage of fetal stimulation in the womb with a music sound player system for the fetus. Based on the 2023 questionnaire, there is a request from the community for the community service team to hold socialization and training on healthy heart and fetal development using the research results of the Lecturer which can be implemented in the 2024 community service program to implement the Fetal Music Instrumental Tool to Help Fetal Growth in the Womb of Pregnant Women at Posyandu Kemuning 1A Sukamakmur Village, Ciomas. This community service implements IKU 2, namely students gaining experience outside campus and IKU 3 where lecturers carry out activities outside campus and IKU 5, namely the work of lecturers is used by the community. Abstract

Antibiotic resistance is a serious public health problem because it has the potential to pose a serious threat to health services if not treated, and could trigger another pandemic. The use of antibiotics in Indonesia is quite high and inappropriate, this will increase the incidence of resistance. Antibiotic resistance is reported to increase in direct proportion to the increase in consumption, this occurs due to irrational use of antibiotics and inadequate public education. Therefore, this community service activity is carried out with the aim of providing education to increase and expand public knowledge about the correct use of antibiotics, as well as to increase public awareness about the importance of using antibiotics correctly to reduce the incidence of resistance. The method used to provide education in the lecture method using LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and Leaflet media, to present information on the correct use of antibiotics. Respondents are given the opportunity to ask questions followed by discussion. To measure the level of knowledge, 30 respondents were asked to answer 15 questions in a list of questions related to the material provided. The results showed that before education the knowledge level category was good as many as 18 respondents (60%), after education it increased to 29 respondents (96.0%), the knowledge level category was not good before education as many as 12 respondents (40.0%), after education it became 1 respondent (3.0%).  The conclusion is that there is an increase in knowledge among respondents who are educated about how to use antibiotics correctly.
