Abstract

Objective: Hypertension is a disease that causes death silently or is called a silent killer. Many people with hypertension are not aware of the symptoms and problems that occur because there are no warning signs or symptoms (WHO, 2021). Risk factors that can affect the incidence of hypertension include sleep quality and stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between sleep quality and stress with blood pressure. Methods: This article design used correlational research with a "Cross Sectional" approach. The population of this study was the elderly in Puton Village, Diwek District, Jombang Regency, totaling 35 people. Sleep quality and stress were measured using a questionnaire. Blood pressure was measured using a sphygmomanometer according to standard guidelines. Data analysis by editing, coding, scoring, tabulation and statistical tests were carried out using the Spearman Rank test. Results: Most respondents have poor sleep quality. Most respondents are normal, not experiencing stress. Most respondents have systolic blood pressure with grade 1 hypertension. almost half of respondents have diastolic blood pressure with grade 1 hypertension and grade 2 hypertension. The results of the analysis between sleep quality and systolic and diastolic blood pressure obtained a p value> 0.05 which indicated that there was no relationship between sleep quality and blood pressure, both systolic and diastolic. This is the same as the relationship between stress with systolic and diastolic blood pressure, where the test results obtained a p value> 0.05 which indicates that there was no relationship between stress and blood pressure, either systolic or diastolic Conclusion: In addition to sleep quality and stress, there are other factors that affect blood pressure that cannot be controlled by researchers that have an impact on changes in blood pressure. Controlling the role factors is very necessary to obtain significant results.

Abstract

Objective: The aim of this study is to translate, adapt, and validate the SSRQA into Indonesian. Methods: Construct validity was assessed by 5 experts in the fields of disaster nursing, mental health, and community nursing. Results: The S-CVI result was 0.9575. Construct validity was tested using PCA (Principal Component Analysis) with N = 200. Reliability was assessed using Cronbach's alpha. The eigenvalue and explanation percentage results showed 18.5%, indicating that the eigenvalue of factors in the SSRQA was sufficient. Cronbach's alpha was obtained as 0.923. Conclusion: The Indonesian version of SSRQA has been validated and can be used to assess resilience based on the perceptions of the Indonesian community

Abstract

Nurse is well known as a leader in compassionate profession that always take part in every crisis and emergency situation. Nurse mostly force to be a leader without formal education as a leader. This paper is to explore the leadership in disaster nursing as a challenge today and in the future. As a leader nurse must have certain knowledge and ability in decision making, communication and collaboration to manage the catastrophe events. Nurse must have certain traits and characteristics to manage the presence and influence as a leader and an ability to understanding the right leadership style that appropriate within the situation in crisis. Connecting the requirement of leadership in disaster nursing with the standardized curricula of leadership in disaster nursing is the future recommendation for nursing scholar.

Abstract

Background: Arterial tourniquets are used in extremity surgical procedures to create a bloodless surgical field. In Total Knee Arthroplasty (TKA) there is redistribution of intravascular volume to the ischemic lower extremity, bleeding, and vasodilation, thereby potentially reducing arterial blood pressure. Objective: to analyze the differences in blood pressure reduction in TKA patients after direct and gradual tourniquet deflation. Methods: Using the Quasy experiment, the population was TKA surgery patients in the Central Surgery Room at Dr. RSUD. Soedono, East Java Province in January – March 2024. Using Simple Random Sampling techniques, it was found that n=24 respondents were divided into intervention group n=12 and control group n=12. Data analysis used the independent T-test. Results: There was no significant difference in pre-intervention systolic and diastolic blood pressure between the gradual and direct groups (p=0.055, p=0.451), there was no significant difference in post-intervention systolic blood pressure between the gradual and direct groups (p=0.578) and there was a significant difference diastolic blood pressure at post intervention between the gradual and immediate groups (p=0.032). The mean difference between pre and post systolic blood pressure in the gradual deflation group was 4.08 mmHg and Dyastole was 6.17 mmHg. Meanwhile, the difference in the mean value of pre and post Systole blood pressure in the direct deflation group was 19.31 mmHg and Dyastole was 10.55. The decrease in blood pressure in both systole and diastole in the gradual deflation group was smaller than in the immediate deflation group. Conclusion: Gradual tourniquet deflation allows for a smaller risk of lowering blood pressure than directly so it can be considered as an alternative method of tourniquet deflation after TKA surgery
