Abstract

Abstract: : This study was conducted to gather sufficient information on the significance of culture in education by reflecting on the diversity identity of students in the classroom. The method used in this study is through the library (Library Search) which includes qualitative research carried out by reading literature, such as journals, books or magazines and other sources. The results of this study indicate that students in the classroom have a diversity of races, ethnicities, cultures, religions, languages, and groups, so multcultural education is very important to be reflected on students in the classroom, with this understanding it is hoped that students can carry out the Indonesian motto, "Bhinneka. Tunggal Ika ”. The application of this multicultural understanding also requires a variety of strategies for students such as discussions, observations, case studies, simulations, role playing, and others. Based on the results of this library search, it can be concluded that there are three phases carried out to reflect on the diversity in the classroom, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation.Abstrak: Studi ini dilakukan untuk mengumpulkan informasi yang cukup terhadap signifikasi kebudayaan dalam pendidikan dengan refleksi identitas keberagaman siswa diruang kelas. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini yaitu melalui kepustakaan (library search) yang termasuk penelitian kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan membaca literatur, seperti jurnal, buku, atau majalah dan sumber lainnya. Hasil dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa diruang kelas mempunyai keberagaman ras, etnis, budaya, agama, bahasa, dan golongan, maka pendidikan multikultural sangat penting untuk direfleksikan terhadap siswa diruang kelas, dengan pemahaman tersebut diharapkan siswa dapat melaksanakan semboyan bangsa Indonesia yaitu “Bhinneka Tunggal Ika”. Penerapan paham multikultural ini juga diperlukan strategi yang beragam terhadap peserta didik seperti diskusi, observasi, studi kasus, simulasi, bermain peran, dan lain-lain. Berdasarkan hasil library search ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada tiga fase yang dilakukan untuk merefleksi keberagaman yang ada di dalam kelas yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi.

Abstract

Perjalanan panjang pendidikan Islam telah mewarnai hiruk-pikuk model pendidikan Islam di berbagai wilayah, terutama di Indonesia sendiri pendidikan Islam turut mengambil momentum gejolak dan pembaharuan di berbagai belahan wilayah Islam lainnya. Pengaruh tersebut telah memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan untuk menyebutnya terjadi perubahan, baik dalam ranah ideologis maupun praktis. Tentu gejolak demikian telah mewarnai proses reformasi dan menentukan arah pembaharuan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia, sehingga disisi lain kadangkala terjadi resistensi yang menggambarkan betapa dinamisnya perjalanan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia. Hal tersebut bisa dilihat dari beragamnya model pendidikan Islam yang telah mengakar bertahun-ahun lamanya, bahkan disinyalir benih-benih lembaga pendidikan Islam telah tumbuh subur beberapa abad silam.

Abstract

Setelah runtuhnya rezim orde baru, Indonesia mengalami banyak kasus terorisme dan radikalisme. Para pelajar dan mahasiswa di usianya yang masih relatif muda, dinilai belum memiliki bekal pengetahuan yang kuat dalam hal beragama dan cara berpikir meekan yang belum stabil menjadikan mereka sebagai sasaran empuk bagi para teroris untuk menyebarkan paham radikalisme. Maka dari itu, pendidikan multikultural sangat penting diberikan kepada pelajar dan mahasiswa. Dengan pendidikan multikultural diharapkan para pelajar dan mahasiswa menyadari bahwa keberagaman budaya, etnis, ras, dan agama bukanlah sesuatu yang harus disingkirkan. Namun, keberagaman tersebut dapat dimanfaatkan dalam hal positif. Sesuai dengan semboyan Indonesia, Bhineka Tunggal Ika yang memiliki arti walaupun berbeda tetap satu. Artikel ini ditulis dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan tinjauan kepustakaan, yang dapat memperoleh data dari berbagai literatur yang sudah ada. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui secara rinci apa itu pendidikan multikultural, radikalisme dan apa saja faktor yang melatarbelakangi terjadinya radikalisme, serta upaya untuk mencegah adanya paham radikalisme.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the strategies and opportunities for Islamic Education teachers in implementing multicultural learning in schools. The research method used is a descriptive method, how the application of multicultural education to Islamic Education learning is analyzed through supporting literature. This approach uses a qualitative approach with descriptive data, namely data collected using words. In discussing the problem in this article, the writer uses this type of library research. Library research is carried out by collecting data and information from library sources such as books, journals, documents and other library sources. The results of this study are : First, the reason why multicultural education must be taught in Islamic education learning is that there are differences in the backgrounds of students which include different ethnicities, races, and religions; Second, several schools in Indonesia only have one religious lesson, namely Islamic religious lessons so that non-Muslim students are enthusiastic about taking Islamic religious lessons, especially social relations (muamalah) material. With the presence of non-Muslim student participants, teachers can make this moment a form of multicultural education; Third, the strategy of Islamic Education teachers in implementing Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM) in the classroom with the right method, namely lectures then discussions and questions and answers so that all students have the opportunity to provide arguments or opinions regarding Islamic religious material that has been conveyed by the teacher. Fourth, the opportunity for teachers to develop PAI material to have multicultural nuances so that it has an impact on students' beliefs that humans will not be able to live without social contracts with other community groups so that students are expected not to focus on their respective religious groups.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the phenomenon of the ocean recited in the verses of the Quran such as, fire/energy in the ocean, two oceans that do  not  blend,  deep  darkness  of  the  ocean,  sea  boundary,  oceanic layers,  and  the  abundant  wealth  of  the  sea  for  humanity.  This  article focuses first on the semantic aspects on oceanic verses as revealed and found  in  42  verses  in  the  Quran  and  then  how  these  verses  could  be used  as  guidance  for  technological  solutions.  The  study  uses  the method  of  interpretation  of  bir  rakyi  or  interpretation  within  reason using  the  scientific  method.  Modern  semantic  scientific  methods, ontology,  and  the  categorization  of  verses  are  used  for  further understanding  and  developing  a  framework  for  further  study  in developing  a  foundation  for  Islamic  Marine  Knowledge.  The  study findings indicate that the knowledge of layers in the seawater column, as  mentioned  in  the  Quran,  could  be  a  blessing  for  Muslims  to  be inspired and guided to find more discoveries and benefits of this water layer  phenomenon.  These  ancient  manuscripts  are  relevant  to  the challenges  of  modern  civilization,  such  as  food  and  energy  security and  environmental  control.  There  are  clues  in  these  oceanic  verses about  technological  solutions  to  the  existing  and  future  humanitarian problems, which Muslims can use as a divine guidance.

Abstract

The study delves into the perceptions of santri concerning Arabic cultural elements in the teaching of the Arabic language within Salafi Pesantren. Employing a qualitative approach, the research investigates how santri perceive the significance of Arabic cultural values in the learning process and the broader implications for multicultural understanding. Data were gathered through interviews and questionnaires distributed to 42 respondents across 16 Salafi pesantren institutions in various regions of Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi. The findings reveal that santri generally recognize the importance of incorporating Arabic cultural elements into the language-learning process, as it aids in comprehending both the Arabic language and its cultural nuances. Some aspects of Arabic culture are perceived by santri as integral to Islamic teachings, influencing distinctive practices in their clothing and physical appearance. Despite these unique practices, the santri, living in a multicultural society, choose to integrate their daily lives with other communities, fostering harmony and embracing the multicultural diversity present in Indonesia. This study contributes valuable insights into the intersection of language learning, cultural values, and multicultural coexistence in the context of Salafi Pesantren education.

Abstract

Indonesia has launched a reform agenda for the quality of madrasah education through the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, especially in terms of improving the quality of madrasah teachers as part of the sustainable development carried out by the government in the field of education. Therefore, this research aims to highlight the factors underlying the reform agenda on teacher quality. In addition, how madrasahs take the momentum of the end of the pandemic as a turning point to make comprehensive improvements. This research uses a qualitative research paradigm with a literature approach, where data is collected from the study of various literature related to the topic of discussion. The data is then verified and analyzed systematically to be presented in a structured manner. The results show that there are at least three main factors that encourage madrasahs to reform the quality of teachers related to aspects of digitalization, adaptation, and creativity. These three aspects are the core competencies that are relevant for madrasah teachers to face various situations today. The digitalization aspect departs from teachers' low teaching technology skills when implementing online classes and using various alternative learning technologies. The adaptive aspect is how the teacher's ability to respond to uncertain changes, where the rapid transition of situations requires teachers' attitude and ability to adapt to various situations. The creativity aspect for teachers is the ability of teaching art that is needed for teachers to create a pleasant learning atmosphere for students both during online and offline learning.

Maraknya isu-isu terkait isu multikultural seperti perang suku, separatisme dan gerakan lainnya yang berpotensi menimbulkan disintegrasi bangsa merupakan hal yang mendesak dan membutuhkan solusi yang tepat. Artikel ini akan fokus pada pembahasan implementasi pendidikan multicultural di sekolah. Tanggung jawab utama dalam pelaksanaan Pendidikan multicultural, yang mencakup gagasan seperti kesetaraan, rasa hormat, dan perdamaian, serta kesempatan yang sama untuk sukses bagi semua siswa, adalah milik guru. Persepsi dan sikap guru terhadap pendidikan multicultural berkaitan langsung dengan bagaimana mereka akan melaksanakan pendidikan multicultural. Beberapa penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh budaya yang tidak dapat disangkal pada pendidikan, namun calon pengajar dan manajer seringkali tidak memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup tentang pendidikan multikultural.
