Abstract

One model in developing a tourism village is to institute a connection with other more established attractions. This research is to find out whether this strategy can be applied to develop tourism in Cikadu hamlet by initiating a connection with a more established resort nearby. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. The data were collected through observations and interviews with key informants. General Manager of the resorts, tourism activists of the hamlet, and government staffs in the village were interviewed to look into the problems. Historically, there were a number of tourists already directed by Tanjung Lesung Resorts to have a trip to Cikadu hamlet. The model of connecting a more established resort to help develop tourism in a nearby hamlet has shown some results. Tourists who stayed at the resort had come to the hamlet for certain periods to make an alternative trip in enriching their holiday. However, it appeared that the hamlet wasn?t ready enough to host tourists from the resorts for the lack of tourism competencies of human resources. Most of the tourism executors in the hamlet were farmers, so the experience design was not optimal. The handling of the tour programs was considered un-proficient for the resort?s guests. The model of establishing connection to resort tourists in developing tourism in Cikadu can actually be achieved. Albeit, designing a more appropriate tour program is essential to keep the tourists visit continually.

Abstract

Kampung Tajur is a unique village located in the village of Pasanggrahan, Purwakarta. Kampung Tajur has a variety of ecotourism potentials, but Kampung Tajur needs to improve the quality of service, especially in terms of guiding services. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the interpretation of the material for guidance in Kampung Tajur. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and literature study. This research has several key informants in Kampung Tajur, such as tour guides and informants from the tourism industry, pokdarwis and community leaders in Kampung Tajur. Based on the research results, it was found that at this time the guides in Kampung Tajur did not have any reference material for interpretation. Interpretation is only done as it is. Meanwhile, the development of interpretation material faces several obstacles, one of which is the lack of human resources as a tour guide, especially as a guide for foreign tourists, so it is necessary to make a bilingual guidebook containing interpretation material for guides. Therefore, it is necessary to produce a bilingual guidebook containing translated material for tour guides. This is necessary to anticipate differences in interpretation between guides and clarity of interpretation for tourists.

Abstract

The Gedung Sate Museum, a historical educational tourism destination in Bandung, is the focus of this research. This study aims to analyze the tourist attraction and the implementation of historical education tourism in the museum. The methods used include observation, interviews with visitors, and documentary studies. The research results show that the attraction of the Gedung Sate Museum lies in a unique combination of core resources in the form of an iconic historical building, modern and interactive additional services such as augmented reality technology, interactive floors, and interactive picture frames, intangible values that evoke nationalism through the stories of heroes' struggles, and strong context markers related to the history of Gedung Sate. Furthermore, the implementation of historical education tourism in this museum successfully integrates clear instructions, diverse teaching methods through visual and interactive media, and active learning experiences that directly involve visitors. These findings provide valuable insights for the development of historical education tourism in other museums, especially those adopting the smart museum concept.
