Abstract

The needs of BIPA learners learn about Indonesian language and wealth, one of which is through Indonesian local wisdom. The local wisdom of tourism is an attraction for foreign learners to study in Indonesia. BIPA learning must be supported by the BIPA textbook, while the BIPA textbook from the Center for Strategic Development and Linguistic Diplomacy (PPSDK) is made in general, not specific to the background of the learning objectives. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to develop BIPA textbooks based on local wisdom of tourism, especially Malang City on the aspects of systematic content, language, and systematic presentation. This type of research is development with a 4D model. The research subjects were beginner-level BIPA students at Universitas Brawijaya. The results showed that BIPA textbooks based on Malang's local tourism wisdom were decent disseminated because they met the feasibility of the aspects of the feasibility of content, language, and systematic presentation with a percentage of the feasibility of 63% to 94%.

Abstract

This research is intended to find an ideal formulation in learning speaking skills through redesigning the Role Playing method. This study uses a modified research and development (R&D) method. The results showed that redesigning the Role Playing method was effective in improving speaking skills. This effectiveness can be seen from the increase in learning outcomes in each implementation. The elements of accuracy in pronunciation, intonation, targeting accuracy, courage, fluency, loudness, gestures/mimics, diction/choice of words, and improvisation, in practice I obtained a percentage of 70.67%, in practice II 80.55%, and in practice III 89.81%. While the student response questionnaire shows a percentage of 74.69% of students giving a positive response. The conclusion is that redesigning the Role Playing method is effective for improving speaking skills, especially for high school (SMA) students.

Abstract

Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency, has various economically valuable regional potentials and tourism potentials that can be developed. In the education sector, which is located in a remote area with multiple potentials such as Toyomarto Village, there has been insufficient attention from the local government in efforts to develop human resource activities. The lack of IT facilities in the education sector, especially in schools located in villages, has resulted in weak IT development in the era of the 4.0 industrial revolution. The selection of this theme for strengthening educational quality is expected to enhance human resources, particularly educators and students. The strengthening of educational quality based on local wisdom, especially in Toyomarto Village, aims to improve educational quality, particularly the quality of learning, by utilizing the existing potential in Toyomarto Village. Therefore, the community service team plans to implement a concept for strengthening educational quality in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency, by conducting workshops/training on educational quality improvement based on local potential that can be maximized for educational enhancement. Furthermore, this collaborative planning for educational quality improvement is expected to have a positive impact on enhancing strategies, planning, media, and evaluation of learning in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Program.

Abstract

Toyomarto Village has educational facilities ranging from elementary school to high school, including 5 elementary school/MI buildings (SDN Toyomarto I, SDN Toyomarto II, SDN Toyomarto III, SDN Toyomarto IV, and MI Al-Ma'arif 06), 1 junior high school building (SMP Islam Al-Ma’arif 02), and 1 vocational high school building (SMK Insan Mandiri). Efforts to improve the quality of education and enhance teachers’ competencies to achieve greater intelligence and competitiveness involve focusing on enhancing the quality of the learning process through digital integration in the 4.0 era, specifically by developing digital visual teaching materials for the learning process. The strengthening of teachers' competencies in developing digital visual media, particularly in Toyomarto Village, aims to improve the quality of education, especially the quality of learning, by enhancing teachers' competencies in preparing teaching materials for the learning process. Therefore, the community service team conducted community service activities in the form of workshops/training with educational institutions at all levels of education related to “Strengthening teachers' competencies in developing digital visual teaching media in Toyomarto Village, Singosari District, Malang Regency.” Furthermore, this synergistic planning for educational quality development will have a positive impact on improving strategies, planning, media, and evaluation of learning in the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. The outcome of this activity is training in the creation of digital-based teaching media that teachers can apply in the learning process. Abstract

Penyampaian materi ajar oleh guru memang tidak selamanya berjalan dengan mudah dan menyenangkan. Berkaca dari hal tersebut, maka guru memerlukan sebuah metode pembelajaran yang menyenangkan dan menarik bagi siswa. Metode pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan adalah metode pembelajaran Joyful Learning. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan metode pembelajaran Joyful Learning berbasis ice breaking pada pembelajaran teks negosiasi kelas X-1 SMAN 01 Batu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuisioner dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan metode pembelajaran Joyful Learning berbasis ice breaking pada mata pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia materi teks negosiasi berpengaruh pada bertambahnya semangat belajar siswa dan meningkatnya hasil pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan. Prosentase untuk pengaruh bertambahnya semangat belajar siswa memeroleh prosentase 70% dengan kategori sangat setuju dan 30% dengan kategori setuju. Sementara itu, prosentase untuk meningkatnya hasil pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang diajarkan mendapat prosentase 67% dengan kategori sangat setuju dan 33% dengan kategori setuju. keduanya didasarkan pada hasil kuisioner yang telah dibagikan kepada siswa-siswi kelas X-1 SMAN 01 Batu serta didapat melalui hasil tes tertulis KD menulis teks negosiasi berbentuk naratif yang dilaksanakan di kelas X-1 SMAN 01 Batu.
