Abstract

Abstract: This developmental research aims at developing an inductive learning model to improve students’ability to appreciate poems. The data are the results of student learning and the observation results on teachers’ activities during the teaching-learning process which are then  analysed descriptively.The results show that learning through inductive model by referring to the 8 learning steps could make students appreciate poems better. This can be seen in the average results of evaluation and observation. In the first treatment the average of the evaluation result is 60.9, the second is 62.4 and the third is 65.3. Whereas the result of the observation in the first treatment is “poor to fair”, the second is “fair to good” and the last is “good to very good”.   Abstrak; Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan sebuah model pembelajaran guna meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi puisi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk memperoleh data hasil belajar siswa dan data hasil observasi kegiatan guru dan kegiatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran melalui model induktif yang memperhatikan delapan langkah pembelajaran tersebut dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengapresiasi puisi. Peningkatan itu secara numerik dapat dilihat dari rata-rata hasil evaluasi dan rata-rata hasil observasi dalam setiap pemberlakuan yang menunjukkan  peningkatan. Pada pemberlakuan I rata-rata hasil evaluasi menunjukkan angka 60,9, pada pemberlakuan II menunjukkan angka 62,4, dan pada pemberlakuan III menunjukkan angka 65,3, sedangkan rata-rata hasil observasi pada pemberlakuan I dari kreteria ‘kurang’ berangsur-angsur menjadi ‘cukup’, pada pemberlakuan II dari kreteria ‘cukup’ berangsur-angsur menjadi ‘baik’ dan  pada pemberlakuan III dari kreteria ‘baik’ berangsur-angsur menjadi ‘sangat baik

Abstract

Manduro Village has a similar name to Madura Island. The similarity of the name positively correlates with the likeness of language and local culture. They call themselves Oreng Manduro 'Madurese'. The language used by residents is the Madurese Language (after this referred to as ML). This study aims to look at variations of language from the social perspective, in the form of age and ethnic main variables. Of the two variables, changes in ML  spoken by adults with what children say and how social contact affects these changes are also examined. This research is descriptive-qualitative research with the leading theory of socio-dialectology. The research data was taken from the informants selected by purposive sampling using the Swadesh list. Data retrieval technique is by recording and note-taking. The results show that ML that is spoken by adults and children has a difference. Differences are seen in phonological terms so that they appear to cause the differences and changes in both. From the total data found, phoneme changes significantly occur in phonemes / ɛ / to phonemes / ᴐ /. Phonemes / ɛ / are phonemes spoken by ML speakers of adult age, while phonemes / ᴐ / are phonemes spoken by children in the same lexicons.DOI: 10.24071/ijhs.2019.020206

Abstract

Abstract: The goal of this research is to determine the best formulation in listening learning using the STAD type cooperative model. This research employs research and development (R&D) that has been adapted to the field settings. The results demonstrated that learning utilizing the STAD type cooperative model was beneficial in listening learning. The effectiveness can be seen by the rise in student learning outcomes after each implementation. The average score of students in the first application was 61.53, 74.04 in the second application, and 83.65 in the third application. Based on these findings, it is possible to infer that the STAD cooperative model is an effective method for teaching listening skills. As a result, it is hoped that instructors and policymakers will attempt this alternative model in an effort to improve students' listening skills, particularly high school pupils (high school) Keywords: Listening, STAD type cooperative model, research and development   Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari formulasi terbaik dalam pembelajaran menyimak melalui model kooperatif tipe STAD. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) yang dimodifikasi menyesuaikan kondisi di lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran menyimak. Kefektifan tersebut dapat dilihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam setiap pemberlakuan. Nilai rata-rata siswa pada pemberlakuan I adalah 61,53, 74,04 pada pemberlakuan II, dan 83,65 pada pemberlakuan III. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa model kooperatif tipe STAD efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran keterampilan menyimak. Oleh karena itu, diharapkan guru dan pengambil kebijakan perlu mencoba alternatif model tersebut sebagai upaya meningkatkan keterampilan menyimak, khususnya siswa sekolah menengah atas (SMA). Kata Kunci: Menyimak, model kooperatif tipe STAD, penelitian dan pengembangan

Abstract

Era digitalisasi dan revolusi industri 4.0 yang didukung dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) menjadi tantangan bagi persatuan Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu, dasar nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dinilai menarik untuk digali dan dikembangkan untuk diharmonisasi dengan nilai-nilai bela negara dalam meningkatkan nasionalisme masyarakat Indonesia. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai bela negara dalam sistem nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat; dan (2) mendeskripsikan harmonisasi nilai-nilai bela negara dengan sistem nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat. Lokasi penelitian ini di Desa Semanding, Kecamatan Semanding, Kabupaten Tuban. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu identifikasi nilai-nilai bela negara dengan sistem nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat meliputi bentuk penyelenggaraan usaha bela negara, bentuk bela negara di lingkungan masyarakat, dan bentuk bela negara dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Selanjutnya, harmonisasi nilai-nilai bela negara dengan sistem nilai kearifan lokal masyarakat terdapat dalam aktivitas nyadran, upacara bersih desa, nilai kosmologi rukun agawe santosa, crah agawe bubrah, dan tata tentrem karta raharja. Harmoni dengan nilai-nilai lokal tersebut adalah bentuk bela negara menjaga persatuan dan kesatuan, taat pada peraturan hukum yang berlaku, menjaga kelestarian lingkungan. Kata Kunci: bela negara, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal, harmonisasi, dan nasionalisme.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve students’ ability in appreciating poetry through inductive model. Method of research used in this study is modified Research and Development. Data analysis technique that is used is descriptive analysis. The result of research shows that learning through inductive model that concern on eight instructional steps can improve students’ ability in appreciating poetry. The improvement can be seen numerically from evaluation result average in every treatment. In the implementation I, the evaluation result average shows number 60.9, in the implementation II shows number 62.4 and in the implementation III shows number 65.3, while the observation result average in the implementation I from ‘less’ criteria gradually become ‘enough’ criteria, in the implementation II from ‘enough’ criteria gradually become ‘good’ criteria an in the implementation III from ‘good’ criteria gradually become ‘very good’ criteria.Keywords: inductive model, appreciation, poetry, research and development

Abstract

The learning of drama appreciation that has been carried out by the teacher needs to be reviewed. The use of traditional methods has an impact on blocking student activity and creativity. This study aims to improve students' reading skills and identify elements of drama through the discussion method. This research was conducted for approximately two months at SDN Kepohkidul I Kecamatan Kedungadem Kabupaten Bojonegoro. The research model used was CAR (class action research). The data obtained were processed quantitatively. The results obtained indicate that the students' ability to read and identify elements of drama increased. This increase can be seen from the results of the student's absorption rate in cycle I reached 42% and in cycle II increased to 94%. The mean score of student tests in the first cycle was 66.3 and in the second cycle increased to 75.6. Based on these results, it is concluded that learning through the discussion method can improve the ability to reading and identify elements of drama in grade VI SDN Kepohkidul I kecamatan Kedungadem kabupaten Bojonegoro.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze relation between language and logic in thinking critically by some stages. Some of them are: explanation about language performance which is started by reception and perception continued with the expression of mind, memory and language memory. Then input stage, storing stage, and output stage. The next explanation are logic as think science, logical barrier, basic principles on logic, thinking critically as an ability requires to get knowledge. Knowledge is getting through scientific method. Scientific method is the way of how mind works. Trough that way production of knowledge hopefully has particular characteristics which demanded by scientific knowledge that are logical and tested. In order to reach the aims, scientific method should combines deductive ways in thinking to develop the knowledge.

Abstract

Abstrak. Keterampilan mengarang bebas bagi seorang siswa merupakan bentuk prestasi akademik yang membanggakan, sebab tidak semua orang memiliki kemampuan tersebut. Meskipun seseorang memiliki keterampilan bahasa lisan yang baik, tetapi belum tentu mereka memiliki keterampilan bahasa tulis yang baik pula. Oleh karena itu, ketrampilan mengarang bebas seharusnya sudah ditanamkan sejak dini kepada siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam mengarang bebas melalui metode Field Trip. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam kurun waktu sebulan. Metode yang digunakan adalah PTK (penelitian tindakan kelas). Data penelitian ini dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini adalah: Penerapan metode Field Trip dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam mengarang bebas. Hal ini dilihat dari peningkatan persentase pembelajaran dalam setiap siklus; (1) Pada siklus I aspek respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran kriteria baik, minat siswa mengikuti pembelajaran kriteria cukup, keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran kriteria cukup, kemampuan siswa membuat kerangka dan mengembangkannya kriteria cukup; (2) Pada siklus II aspek respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran kriteria baik, minat siswa mengikuti pembelajaran kriteria baik, siswa ketika observasi kriteria baik sekali, kemampuan siswa membuat kerangka dan mengembangkannya kriteria cukup; dan (3) Hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Pada pretes ketuntasan belajar dari 35,8%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 52,5%, pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 77,3%. Dari hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa melalui metode Filed Trip kemampuan siswa dalam mengarang bebas meningkat. Kata Kunci: Metode Filed Trip, Mengarang Bebas, PTK. Abstract. Free authored skills for a student are a proud form of academic achievement, because not everyone has that ability. Although someone has good oral language skills, but not necessarily they have good writing language skills anyway. Therefore, free-authored skills should have been implanted early to students. This research aims to improve students ' skills in making free writing through Field Trip methods. This research is conducted within a month. The method used was PTK (Research action Class). This research Data is analyzed quantitatively. The results derived from this study are: Application of Field Trip method can improve students ' ability in free-fabricated. It is seen from an increased percentage of learning in each cycle; (1) on the I cycle of the students ' responses to the method of learning criteria well, the students ' interest in following learning criteria is sufficient, student involvement in the learning criteria is sufficient, the ability of students to create frameworks and develop sufficient criteria; (2) in the II cycle of the students ' responses to the method of learning criteria well, the students ' interests follow the learning of good criteria, students when observing criteria well, the ability of the students to create frameworks and develop sufficient criteria; and (3) The student learning results are increased. In Pretes the learning learned from 35.8%, in the I cycle increased to 52.5%, in cycle II increased to 77.3%. From these results, it can be concluded that through the method of Filed Trip the ability of students in making freely increased.Keywords: Method Filed Trip, Free Fabricated, CAR.

Abstract

The use of Indonesian rules in writing student thesis is very important, but in some cases errors are still found. The omission of errors that will continue to have a negative impact on the quality of thesis/scientific work of students, and can further reduce the authority of the institution. This is the basis of this research. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The results showed that the misuse of Indonesian rules usage in the thesis writing of the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Brawijaya Malang was relatively high. Therefore, there needs to be an effort from the leadership to follow up these findings by paying attention to the lecturer’s competencies of Indonesian general subjects lecturer, both through increasing hours of study and providing courses for final semester students.
