Abstract

This study aims to analyze the existence of regulations concerning sentencing guidelines for bribery cases in Indonesia and their influence on judicial decisions concerning the principle of judicial independence. The research employs a normative legal research method with statutory, conceptual, cases, and comparative approaches. The research findings indicate that the regulation of sentencing guidelines in Indonesia is still not specifically mandated. While the Supreme Court has issued a Supreme Court Regulation on Sentencing Guidelines for State Financial Corruption, which is limited to state financial corruption cases, no specific rules yet exist for bribery cases. Following the enactment of the National Criminal Code which takes effect in 2026, Indonesia will possess sentencing guidelines that apply to all criminal offenses, including bribery cases. This regulation appears to be general in nature in order to uphold the independence of judges when adjudicating cases. Judges are granted the authority to determine the severity or leniency of the sentence for the perpetrator by considering the standards set forth in Article 54 of the National Criminal Code, which is expected to provide rational justification in sentencing, thus achieving legal certainty.

Abstract

The study explores the impact of TikTok content on English speaking engagement among 11th grade students. Fear of making mistakes and a lack of real-world practice opportunities are significant psychological barriers that make speaking a challenge for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. They often struggle with limited vocabulary, pronunciation issues, and grammatical errors, which further hinder their spoken fluency. The problems, however, can be addressed by using engaging and relatable content from platforms like TikTok to increase motivation and confidence. With the rise of social media as a learning tool, TikTok has emerged as a platform for informal language acquisition and learning. The research employs a thematic analysis methodology, investigating individual students’ learning experience, teachers' perception within the learning process, and TikTok audience when given certain English speaking TikTok content. The primary research questions investigate how TikTok’s English-speaking content can contribute to the engagement of students. The findings provide practical insights for educators on integrating modern technology into language instruction. Ultimately, this investigation seeks to fill a gap in existing research on TikTok's influence on EFL speaking comprehension, offering valuable implications for both theoretical understanding and practical application in language education.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the reality of the communication strategies used by parents in accompanying their children of elementary school age during the pandemic, specifically in the Pondok Cina area, Depok, West Java. The research informants numbered around 5 mothers as parents of elementary school students who live in Pondok Cina from social economic status C (simple) who help their husbands to earn a living.This study uses a constructivist paradigm that sees reality not by itself, but through interactions between one individual and another. To see more deeply how the description of the reality of the communication strategies used by parents in accompanying their children of elementary school age during a pandemic through a case study method that can explore how in a pandemic condition mothers as the closest parents use communication strategies in accompanying their son or daughter to learn online way.Research informants were taken using a purposive sampling technique (as needed), specifically the snowball technique. The case study method is a way to examine research cases and collect data through non-participant observation, and the largest portion is through in-depth interviews with research informants while maintaining health procedures set by the government. Furthermore, the author also elaborates through documentation studies of various documents related to the research theme.The results of data collection will be analyzed with the Huberman and Miles data analysis model with predetermined stages starting from reducing data, categorizing to drawing conclusions, finally the categories of communication strategies used by mothers in accompanying children during online learning via the internet are found.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai di RS Sandi Karsa Kota Makassar. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai RS Sandi Karsa Kota Makassar sebanyak 70 orang, yang sekaligus dijadikan sampel penelitian dengan teknik total sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner terstruktur, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis univariat, bivariat, dan multivariat menggunakan uji regresi linear. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepuasan kerja pegawai berada pada kategori sedang, sedangkan kinerja pegawai berada pada kategori cukup hingga baik. Hasil uji statistik membuktikan bahwa kepuasan kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kepuasan kerja berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai serta kualitas pelayanan rumah sakit. Oleh karena itu, manajemen rumah sakit diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan kerja pegawai guna mendukung peningkatan mutu pelayanan kesehatan

Abstract

Latar belakang: Self-efficacy akademik merupakan keyakinan mahasiswa terhadap kemampuan yang dimiliki dalam menghadapi berbagai situasi dalam proses perkuliahan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara motivasi dengan self-efficacy mahasiswa pada kuliah praktek lapangan di masa pandemi Covid-19. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan Cross-sectional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 119 mahasiswa semester VI Akademi Keperawatan di Jakarta Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total population sampling. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni – Desember 2021. Analisa data dilakukan dengan software statistik SPSS untuk analisa univariat dan bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi dengan self-efficacy mahasiswa pada kuliah praktek lapangan di masa pandemi Covid-19 dengan p-value = 0.001 < α 0.05. Kesimpulan: Motivasi merupakan dorongan yang timbul dari dalam diri untuk membentuk efikasi diri seseorang. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah institusi pendidikan dapat menyelenggarakan kegiatan kemahasiswaan yang menumbuhkan motivasi belajar mahasiswa, khususnya di profesi keperawatan, agar apapun kondisi atau pandemi yang dihadapi, mahasiswa tetap memiliki motivasi dalam belajar di lahan praktik keperawatan.

Abstract

This study explores higher education students’ perceptions of using the Memrise mobile application for English vocabulary learning and the challenges they experience. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected from 28 University students through open-ended questionnaires and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings show that students perceive Memrise as an engaging and user-friendly Mobile-Assisted Language Learning (MALL) tool that supports vocabulary retention, pronunciation, and learning motivation through repetition, multimedia features, and gamification. However, limitations were also identified, including insufficient academic vocabulary, limited contextual and grammatical explanations, and difficulties in applying vocabulary in academic contexts. Overall, Memrise is considered an effective supplementary tool for vocabulary learning in higher education when integrated with formal instruction.

Abstract

Penyandang disabilitas mempunyai resiko kerusakan gigi yang besarkarena sulit membersihkan giginya secara sempurna. Penggunaan obat kumur antiseptik telah terbukti membantu dalam menekan pertumbuhan kuman patogen di rongga mulut, sehingga sangat membantu penyandang disabilitas dalam meningkatkan kesehatan gigi. Penggunaan obat kumur berbahan herbal banyak dikembangkan karena tidak menimbulkan resistensi, murah, dan mudah didapat dengan memanfaatkan ketersediaan di lingkungan, dengan khasiat antimikroba yang setara dengan obat kimia. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemandirian komunitas disabilitas pada Yayasan Cahaya Mutiara Ubud dalam perawatan kesehatan gigi melalui pelatihan pembuatan loloh obat kumur herbal berbahan daun sirih. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan praktik langsung yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi fisik peserta, disertai pendampingan adaptif untuk mengatasi keterbatasan motorik. Proses pelatihan berlangsung secara partisipatif, melibatkan interaksi kolaboratif antara peserta, dosen, dan mahasiswa, serta memanfaatkan kearifan lokal agar materi lebih mudah diterima. Tantangan seperti keterbatasan sarana diatasi dengan modifikasi alat sederhana, sementara respons peserta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dan peningkatan kepercayaan diri. Hasil kegiatan tidak hanya menghasilkan produk loloh antiseptik, tetapi juga memperkuat kapasitas peserta untuk mengelola perawatan diri secara berkelanjutan. Program ini menegaskan pentingnya pendekatan inklusif dan partisipatif dalam pemberdayaan komunitas disabilitas.

Abstract

Nurse performance is an important indicator in determining the quality of nursing services and overall hospital performance. Nurse performance is influenced by various psychosocial and individual factors, including work motivation, work stress, job satisfaction, and nutritional status. This study aimed to analyze the factors affecting nurse performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Anwar Makkatutu, Bantaeng Regency. The findings of this study are expected to provide input for hospital management in improving nurse performance and the quality of nursing services. This study employed a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The study sample consisted of all nurses working at RSUD Prof. Dr. H. Anwar Makkatutu, selected using a simple random sampling technique. The research variables included work motivation, work stress, nutritional status, job satisfaction, and nurse performance. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis, bivariate analysis with pearson correlation, and multivariate analysis using path analysis. The results showed that job satisfaction had a direct and significant effect on nurse performance. Work motivation had a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, while work stress had a negative and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job satisfaction was proven to mediate the effects of work motivation and work stress on nurse performance. Nutritional status had no significant effect on job satisfaction or nurse performance. It is recommended that hospital management prioritize strategies to improve job satisfaction and work motivation, as well as effective management of work stress, in order to enhance nurse performance and the quality of nursing services.

Despite its potential, studies on perceptions of educational Instagram accounts and their impact on students’ vocabulary depth require further research. This study employed a qualitative descriptive design. Data were collected from 30 English major students through closed-ended questionnaires and from five selected students through semi-structured interviews. The data was analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns and themes in the students’ perceptions. The findings of the study indicate that most students found the English educational Instagram accounts easy to use, engaging, accessible, and useful for vocabulary learning. It also supported learning pronunciation and spelling. However, the findings revealed varied perceptions of the role of these accounts in understanding word formation. In conclusion, English educational Instagram accounts can effectively support students’ vocabulary learning, including vocabulary depth. Content related to word formation should be provided more frequently. This study contributes to the existing literature by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model with the concept of vocabulary depth. It extends the theoretical understanding of social media use in language learning. Practically, these findings can guide educators and educational content creators in designing more effective Instagram-based materials to support students’ vocabulary development.
