Abstract

Ornamental plants are plants that function as decorations in space, both outdoors and indoors. Collecting ornamental plants is very popular among housewives. Based on a survey conducted in Rantau City, the use of ornamental plants in houses in urban areas is very little compared to rural areas. This indicates that people in urban areas are less concerned about ornamental plants. To introduce ornamental plants more deeply to all circles, an ornamental plant center is made that can accommodate plants efficiently. The problem raised in the design of the ornamental plant center is how to design a building that can accommodate plants, attract public interest and accommodate activities related to ornamental plants. This problem is solved by using a building form in the form of a greenhouse to accommodate massive plants, and using the concept of green building to optimize the workability of the building and introduce ornamental plants to a wider community.

Sense of place was used to approach the feeling of being inside of an anime.

Abstract

The geographical location of the Martapura river basin in Banua Anyar Village is quite strategic, moreover, this area is one of the tourist areas in Banjarmasin which is also the target of developing a tourist area by the South Kalimantan Environmental Service in the Martapura Asri River program. However, currently, there is a lack of supervision and maintenance, resulting in many river problems and public facilities that are not functioning properly in the culinary tourism area on the Martapura River. Existing facilities are considered not yet available to solve river problems and do not meet the needs of visitors so the design of tourist river support facilities is to meet the needs of visitors. Writing aims to design a floating pier at the location of the river access center on the banks of the Martapura river in Banua Anyar Village. Through direct observation surveys and documentation at the wharf design location as the basis for the design. The approach applied is an environmentally friendly architecture (Green Architecture) with eco enzymes as a mixed medium in river waste around the wharf. Designers are focused on the functional form and structural strength of disaster response in river watersheds so that they can more easily implement designs that are following river problems in the surrounding area. The results of this writing formulate the overlapping concept of the functions of public facilities between the problems of overcoming the density of land health insurance routes and environmental pollution due to residents' waste. The planned facilities include 1) a Floating Pier as an area of the main function of the river bank; 2) Providing space facilities for washing clothes as well as environmentally friendly public toilets; 3) Developing and improving the area around the site by updating other facilities.

Abstract

The establishment of Banjarbaru as the Provincial Capital has had an impact on increasing population growth so that it requires a forum for preserving the typical madihin art culture of South Kalimantan. Madihin has been listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. Currently, learning Madihin art is mostly done by self-teaching, there is no special place for learning standard Madihin art. The main activity in the studio is training and performing madihin art. This activity requires space, namely training rooms and auditoriums as well as other supporting spaces, namely studio, gallery, management, communal and retail spaces. The function of this room causes activities that produce GreenHouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Currently, geothermal heat is increasing, reaching the global boiling category, no longer global warming. The design of the Madihin Art Studio applies Ministerial Regulation no. 21 of 2021 concerning Green Building Criteria with 7 categories. The use of this green building method approach is an effort to minimize the effects of global boiling and realize the government's goal of reducing global temperatures and participating in the Green City concept implemented by the City of Banjarbaru. Madihin's building design, apart from paying attention to the green building concept, also pays attention to the building's acoustics. In building acoustics, priority is given to the aspect of selecting building materials that are appropriate to improving the sound quality of the performance, such as sound dampening materials. Meanwhile, the green building concept resulted in a design for the Madihin building taking into account the comfort of the performance. The building layout for madihin performances is expected to meet comfort criteria, namely optimal air circulation and lighting. Maximizing openings on the north and south sides thereby reducing artificial ventilation which can minimize energy use. The building is also designed by maximizing green space on the building floors, optimizing use of rainwater and environmentally friendly waste management.
