Abstract

This paper is aimed at investigating  the urban sprawl patterns caused by the develop-ment of planned housing (real estate/KPR) in Banjarmasin peri-urban areas (macro scale) and specifically analyzing the morphological characteristics (urban structure, build-ing and spatial layout) of that housing type in North Banjarmasin and Handil Bakti (micro scale). Findings show that the development of those planned housing has shaped a sporadic pattern or what so-called a leap frog development, in which they are concen-trated in North and South of Banjarmasin fringe-urban areas where availability of agricul-tural land is still abundant. Form three areas, the cluster of residential has a similarity in building and spatial layouts such as streets with grid system and rectangular plot and marked by a single entrance with enclosed cluster and no boundary between buildings / land plot.

Abstract

International surveys indicate that the literacy rate of Indonesians is among the lowest compared to other countries. This is because there are not enough reading facilities and because of the developments in electronic technologies, which provide instantaneous convenience. By offering non-formal reading facilities that are both fun and informative, a literacy park is one way to increase reading awareness among the general public. The city of Banjarmasin itself already has several libraries, one of which is in Taman Kamboja. However, the existing library in Kamboja Park has some circumstances or problems, and also rarely visited by the public. This is due to the hidden or secluded location of the library within the park, as well as the single function or limited facilities the library has offered. So the design problem is formulated as follows: How is the design of the Banjarmasin Kamboja Literacy Park, which can be a recreational space to introduce reading activities to the people of Banjarmasin City? The aim of designing the Cambodian Reading Gardens is to create an educational and recreational concept for a reading facility. The concept of Fun Reading is used to solve problems using the Flexibility Architecture Method which is deemed appropriate for realizing the design concept.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding for 6 months is a beneficial activity for both mother and baby. However, smooth breastfeeding is often hampered, especially in the first days after giving birth. One of the causes is a lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin which play a role in the smooth production of breast milk. Breast milk production can be accelerated with non-pharmacological measures, namely through oxytocin massage. This study aims to analyze the effect of oxytocin massage on the smooth flow of breast milk based on literature analysis. The method used is a literature review through searches from the PubMed, Science Direct and Google Scholar databases using various Indonesian and English keywords. Sorting articles uses inclusion and exclusion criteria and PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) guidelines with 4 stages, namely identification, screening, eligibility, and acceptable results. The results of the search identified 907 articles, then they were screened and 507 articles were obtained, then at the feasibility stage 7 articles were obtained and it was decided that these 7 articles were acceptable. The results of the article review found that oxytocin massage provides comfort and relaxation to the mother and stimulates the release of oxytocin so that it can speed up the release of breast milk , while breast care will stimulate the production of lactifer (prolactin hormone) to accelerate breast milk production in postpartum mothers. In conclusion, the oxytocin massage method is effective in increasing breast milk production and facilitating milk production in post partum mothers. It is hoped that there will be further research regarding family involvement in the effectiveness of oxytocin massage intervention for post partum mothers.

Abstract

The lack of cultural tourism in Banjarbaru is concerned to reduce public interest in culture, which is likely to cause the loss of the culture itself. Therefore, the government of Banjarbaru is planning the construction of the Embung Lokudat Green Open Space (RTH), where one of the goals of the development of this open space is to become a tourist destination based on cultural education in South Kalimantan. In the Embung Lokudat green open space, it is necessary to have a supporting area to better reflect the culture of South Kalimantan, where South Kalimantan is identical to the Banjar Tribe, and the Banjar Tribe community has a life that is closely related to the river. The River Culture Gallery area is very suitable to be used as a supporting area for Embung Lokudat Green Open Space because the River Culture Gallery has the function of preserving the river, storing evidence of river culture, and introducing river culture to the public. The design method used is a Responsive Environment with the application of the Story Telling concept to create an interesting and educative River Culture Gallery Area..

Abstract

The geographical location of the Martapura river basin in Banua Anyar Village is quite strategic, moreover, this area is one of the tourist areas in Banjarmasin which is also the target of developing a tourist area by the South Kalimantan Environmental Service in the Martapura Asri River program. However, currently, there is a lack of supervision and maintenance, resulting in many river problems and public facilities that are not functioning properly in the culinary tourism area on the Martapura River. Existing facilities are considered not yet available to solve river problems and do not meet the needs of visitors so the design of tourist river support facilities is to meet the needs of visitors. Writing aims to design a floating pier at the location of the river access center on the banks of the Martapura river in Banua Anyar Village. Through direct observation surveys and documentation at the wharf design location as the basis for the design. The approach applied is an environmentally friendly architecture (Green Architecture) with eco enzymes as a mixed medium in river waste around the wharf. Designers are focused on the functional form and structural strength of disaster response in river watersheds so that they can more easily implement designs that are following river problems in the surrounding area. The results of this writing formulate the overlapping concept of the functions of public facilities between the problems of overcoming the density of land health insurance routes and environmental pollution due to residents' waste. The planned facilities include 1) a Floating Pier as an area of the main function of the river bank; 2) Providing space facilities for washing clothes as well as environmentally friendly public toilets; 3) Developing and improving the area around the site by updating other facilities.

Abstract

The newly established capital of South Kalimantan, Banjarbaru, has experienced rapid growth in education, economy, and governance. However, it currently lacks sufficient sports facilities, with only a type C basketball sports hall with a capacity of less than 1000 people. The purpose of this design is to create a type B Basketball Sports Hall using a modern functional approach that not only prioritizes comfortable and standard-compliant space functionality but also adopts modern architectural concepts. The resulting design aims to provide not only a basketball court and seating area but also is supported by clinic and gym facilities to support player preparation before training and aid in physical and mental recovery. The basketball court is placed centrally for spatial organization efficiency and circulation, accompanied by supporting facilities around it. Modern architectural concepts are integrated into the design by incorporating characteristics such as dominant box-shaped forms with grid structures and the use of concrete and steel materials. Thus, this building design not only focuses on physical aspects but also considers the holistic needs of its users.
