Abstract

Teacher performance is a key factor in supporting the success of the learning process in schools. However, a lack of attention to the managerial skills of school principals and the school climate often hampers efforts to improve teacher performance. This study aims to analyze the influence of school principals’ managerial skills and the school climate on teacher performance. A quantitative descriptive approach was employed, involving 80 school principals as the sample. Data were analyzed using the Chi-Square test and linearity test to examine the linear relationship between the independent variables (managerial skills and school climate) and the dependent variable (teacher performance). The results showed a simultaneous significance value of 0.000 (probability < 0.05), with an F-value of 2334.4, exceeding the F-table value of 3.115. These findings indicate that the managerial skills of school principals and the school climate significantly affect teacher performance. This study concludes that strong managerial skills and a conducive school climate can enhance teachers' motivation and performance, positively impacting the quality of teaching and learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of fuel (Pertalite) scarcity on the economic turnover of the community in Desa Tela, Pulau-Pulau Babar District. Fuel is a critical component in various economic activities, particularly in the transportation and goods distribution sectors. The scarcity of fuel can significantly increase operational costs and the prices of goods, thus affecting the economic turnover in the local community. This research employs a quantitative approach by distributing questionnaires to 50 respondents in Desa Tela. The collected data were analyzed using simple linear regression to assess the relationship between fuel scarcity and economic turnover. The findings reveal that fuel scarcity has a significant effect on the economic turnover of the community, with the impact primarily felt in sectors heavily dependent on energy. Therefore, government intervention is required to address fuel scarcity issues, such as building adequate energy infrastructure to maintain local economic stability

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of online transportation service quality, specifically Maxim, on customer satisfaction in Bentas, Nusaniwe District, Ambon City. The development of information and communication technology has significantly influenced various sectors, including transportation. Maxim, a Russian-based ride-hailing service, entered the Indonesian market in 2018 and has rapidly gained popularity, particularly due to its competitive pricing and user-friendly application. In Bentas, Maxim's services have gained traction, offering affordable rates compared to other competitors like Gojek and Grab. However, the influence of service quality on customer satisfaction in Ambon, particularly in Bentas, remains underexplored, prompting this research. The research aims to assess the extent to which Maxim’s service quality influences customer satisfaction. The study employs quantitative analysis using regression analysis to explore the relationship between service quality and customer satisfaction. Findings reveal that service quality significantly impacts customer satisfaction, with an increase of 1 unit in service quality leading to a 0.381 unit increase in customer satisfaction. This research is vital as it provides deeper insight into how service quality, which includes aspects such as reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy, directly influences customer experience. Maxim is encouraged to further improve service quality to enhance customer satisfaction in Bentas, Nusaniwe District, Ambon City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the use of differentiated learning approaches on student learning outcomes in Social Sciences (IPS) class VIII2 at SMP Negeri 8 Ambon. This study uses a quantitative method with a pseudo-experimental design. The research sample consisted of 31 students who were selected using the nonprobability sampling technique. The results of data analysis using the t-test showed that the tcount value was 8.668, while the ttable value at the degree of freedom (df) 29 with a significance level of 0.05 was 1.699. Because the tcount (8.668) is larger than the ttable (1.699), the research hypothesis is accepted. This shows that the differentiated learning approach has a positive and significant effect on student learning outcomes. First, the results of the validity and reliability test show that all requirements in each variable are declared valid and reliable. It can be seen that Rcalculate Rtable, then all statement items are declared valid. Meanwhile, the reliability test for all variables was declared reliable because of Cronbach's alpha 0.60. Second, the differentiated learning approach has a positive and partially significant effect between the differentiated learning approach to learning outcomes. This means that the better the differentiated learning approach, the better the learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the value of the t-test results (partial) which shows that the tcount is 8,688 ttable 1,699 and significant 0.000 0.05, so it can be stated that H1 "differentiated learning approach affects the learning outcomes of social studies subjects of grade VIII2 students of SMP Negeri 8 Ambon" is accepted based on the results of hypothetical assumptions. Third, the magnitude of the determination coefficient or R2 is 0.721 or 72.1%, This shows that the percentage of influence of the differentiated learning approach has a great influence on the learning outcomes of social studies subjects. The remaining 27.9% was influenced by other variables that were not studied.

Abstract

The price of staple goods plays a crucial role in determining consumer purchasing power, especially in areas where economic conditions depend on market price stability. This study aims to analyze the effect of staple food prices on the purchasing power of the community in Wayame Village RT/RW 007/004. The research method employed a quantitative approach using simple linear regression analysis to measure the relationship between staple food prices (independent variable) and purchasing power (dependent variable). Primary data was collected through questionnaires distributed to 72 respondents, while secondary data was obtained from relevant sources such as statistical reports and previous research. The results indicate that prices significantly influence purchasing power, with a regression coefficient of 0.356, meaning that an increase of one unit in price results in a 0.356 unit increase in purchasing power. The t-value of 5.291 and significance level (Sig.) of 0.000 confirm that price has a significant effect on purchasing power (p < 0.05). Additionally, the correlation coefficient (R) of 0.534 suggests a moderate positive relationship between price and purchasing power. Meanwhile, the R Square value of 0.286 indicates that 28.6% of the variability in purchasing power can be explained by price, while 71.4% is influenced by other factors not analyzed in this study. These findings suggest that competitive and stable prices can enhance purchasing power, whereas significant price increases may reduce people's ability to meet their basic needs. Therefore, sellers should set prices that align with consumer purchasing power, while government intervention is necessary to monitor and stabilize staple food prices through policies that support economic stability.
