Abstract

Anxiety becomes a psychological response when there is an attack and becomes a cause to bad treatment of Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) patients. Music therapy interventions to reduce anxiety need to be considered because it has no harmful effects. The study aimed to analyze the influence of gong waning music therapy toward anxiety in patients with ACS in Regional Public Hospital of dr. T.C. Hillers Maumere. The research design was quasi experimental with non-equivalent control group design. The sample was 32 patients divided into 2 groups with 16 patients per group taken by using purposive sampling technique. The intervention was implemented in three days. State Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) was used as the instrument of the study. The study used paired t-test, independent sample t-test and repeated anova for data analysis. The study showed that experimental group’s trait anxiety and state anxiety were reduced (p 0.000 and 0.001). There was a difference on anxiety in experimental and control group (p 0.043 and 0.049). There was a bigger decrease of anxiety level in experimental group and it was statistically significant (p 0.000). The findings proved to support intervention of traditional music therapy to reduce anxiety. Nurses should not only focus on physical problems and ignore anxiety. It is hoped that nurses can use music therapy as a non-pharmacological adjunct therapy to help reduce anxiety of ACS patients.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat pada ibu balita gizi kurang penting untuk dilakukan agar pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak bisa terpantau dan optimal. Peran orang tua sangat penting dalam tumbuh kembang anak karena dengan memberikan perhatian yang benar terhadap gizi anak, maka anak akan terhindar dari berbagai macam penyakit dan akan tumbuh dengan sehat.. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan praktik ibu dalam pemberian makan pada balita gizi kurang adalah dengan cara Supportive Educative Nursing Intervention (SEMI). Tujuan dari pendampingan ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan praktik ibu dalam makan pada balita gizi kurang. Metode kegiatan pendampingan pada ibu balita yang memiliki balita gizi kurang dilakukan melalui 4 tahap yaitu teaching, guiding, supporting and providing environment. Responden yang dilibatkan dalam kegiatan ini adalah semua ibu balita gizi kurang di wilayah kerja puskesmas Bola sebanyak 30 orang. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan cara memberikan kuesioner pengetahuan dan lembar observasi tentang praktik pemberian makan di awal dan akhir kegiatan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan dan praktik pemberian makan pada balita gizi kurang.

Abstract

Vaksin merupakan produk biologis yang dapat meningkatkan imunitas spesifik untuk penyakit tertentu.Vaksin juga merupakan salah satu intervensi terbaik yang dikembangkan untuk memberantas COVID-19, menyelamatkan jutaan nyawa setiap tahunnya. Vaksinasi covid dilakukan dengan menjangkau seluruh lapisan masyarakat dari usia 12 tahun sampai dengan 60 tahun yang menyasar masyarakat sehat tanpa penyakit penyerta. Ada sebagian masyarakat yang ragu-ragu bahkan menghindari vaksinasi karena mendapat informasi terkait efek samping yang membahayakan keselamatan mereka.Pengetahuan yang kurang up to date tentang efek samping pemberian vaksinasi ini perlu disosialisasikan dengan tujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat.Bentuk sosialisasi yang dilakukan pada saat itu yakni ceramah, diskusi dan Tanya jawab menggunakan media laptop dan LCD serta leaflet terkait efek samping vaksin. Jumlah peserta yang mengikuti sosialisasi sebanyak 50 orang, peserta di bagi dalam 5 kelompok yang masing-masing anggota berjumlah 10 orang. Hasil sosialisasi ini mesyarakat yang didominasi usia-usia muda sangat antusias mendengarkan dan banyak memberikan pertanyaan tentang efek samping pemberian vaksin. Langkah evaluasi program dan keberlanjutan program setelah kegiatan PKM selesai dilaksanakan pada setiap bulan dengan melibatkan petugas kesehatan di puskesmas.

Abstract

Introduction: Mount eruption can happen at any time without warning including during teaching learning proces in school time and the children are included into the the very susceptible group on disaster situation. Less preparedness causes the children be in critical situation. To increase children’s preparedness could be done through the training on disaster preparedness in overcoming the disater caussed by volcano eruption. The aim of this research is to explain The Effect Of Training On Preparedness Disaster on The Preparedness of Elementary School Children in Overcoming The Disaster of Volcano Eruption of Mount Egon in Lere Catholic Elementary School. Method: This research is classified as quasi experimental with the research design one pre test post test design. The population on this research is all children of class IV and V in Lere Catholic Elementary School. The total number is 51 children. The sample used is systematic random sampling. The total number of sampling is 45 respondents. Result: There is effect of training on disaster preparedness on the preparedness of elementary school children in overcoming mount Egon eruption (p 0,000). Conclusion: The training of disaster preparedness can increase on the preparedness of elementary school childen in overcoming the disaster of volcano eruption, therefore the training of disaster preparedness needs to be done every year and to accommodate the content of disaster in the school curriculum.

Abstract

Toddlers are an effective age to develop their various potentials which include physical, motor, cognitive, social-emotional development and language development. One of the child's developmental tasks is toileting skills or what are known as urinating and defecating skills. A skill that should be introduced early in toddlers to prevent enuresis is potty training. This study aims to analyze the effect of giving potty training on the independence of defecation and urination in toddlers. The type of research used is Quasy Experiment with one group pretest-posttest design research design. This study design only conducted an intervention in one group, without comparison. The population in this study were all children under five as many as 85 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling so that the sample size in this study amounted to 30 people. Data analysis using Paired Samples Test. The results showed that there where there is an effect of giving potty training on defecation and urination skills in toddlers (p-value 0.000 <α 0.05). So it can be concluded that giving Potty Training can improve defecation and urination skills in toddlers.

Abstract

Malnutrition is a health disorder due to a lack or imbalance of nutrients needed for growth, thinking activities and all things related to life. One of the efforts made to help meet the nutritional needs of malnourished children under five is the Recovery Supplementary Feeding (PMT) program. The purpose of this study was to analyze whether the effect of supplementary feeding with local ingredients on changes in body weight of undernourished children under five. The type of research used is pre-experimental research design with one group pre and post-test design. This research was conducted in the working area of the Nanga Public Health Center. The population in this study were all underweight children under five in the working area of the Nanga Health Center as many as 30 people, the sampling technique in this study was total sampling. Data processing is done by editing, coding, entry, tabulating and cleaning. Data analysis in this study was bivariate with Paired Test. The results showed that there was an effect of providing local-based supplementary food to changes in body weight of undernourished children under five as indicated by a p value of 0.000 < 0.05, with a pre-test Mean value (9.744) < Post-test Mean (10.022). and the value of t-count (7.409) > t-table (2005). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the provision of local-based supplementary food is effective in increasing the weight of undernourished children under five.

Abstract

Addiction to playing online games smartphone is a pleasure in playing because it can give a sense of its own satisfaction, so there is sense of repeating fun activities when playing smartphone online games. This could make someone be addiction and can reduce sleeping quality. Addiction to playing online smartphone games is a pleasure in playing because it can give a sense of its own satisfaction, so there of this study was to determine the relationship between addiction to playing smartphone online games with the quality of student at SMPK Hewerbura Watublapi, Sikka Regency. The type of research used in this research was correlation analytic research with a cross-sectional approach, the population in this study was students of class VIII in SMPK Hewerbura Watublapi, Sikka Regency with the sample in this study amounted to 80 people, the sampling technique used total sampling. The statistical test was the Spearman correlation test, the data were collected through questionnaires. The results of the study showed that of the 80 respondents who were addicted to online smartphone games with poor sleep quality category as many as 41 people and addiction to playing heavy smartphone online games with poor sleep quality category as many as 30 people. The results of the Spearman correlation test obtained p value (0.013) < α (0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.276 in the direction of the positive relationship. It means that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted, this means that there was a significant relationship between addiction to playing smartphone online games and the sleep quality of students at SMPK Hewerbura Watublapi, Sikka Regency, which has a weak relationship where the higher level of addiction to playing smartphone online games affects the students sleep quality.The results of this study can be concluded that more students experience poor sleep quality because students do not know the negative impact of playing online games for a long time. Based on this result, it is expected that parents should control their children in playing online games and school must provide information regarding the negative impacts of online games.

Abstract

Introduction: Early marriage is a practice that is still common in several countries in the world. Getting married at early age will have an impact on childcare. Marriage at an early age needs to obtain knowledge about childcare. Interventions provided to mothers who marry at early age to change her behavior is health coaching support. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of health coaching support by peer coaching method on parenting self-efficacy to infant care in mothers who married at early age. Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design. The study population was early marriage mothers who had infant. We used purposive sampling technique with a sample of 15 participants. The instrument used in this study was the Maternal Self-Efficacy Scale. Results: The results showed that of the 15 participants, the mean pre-test and mean post-test were 1.73 and 3.46. Wilcoxon test results showed before and after being given health coaching support by peer with p-value 0,000 < α = 0.05, so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. This showed that there was a significant influence due to the provision of health coaching support by peer coaching methods on infant care. Conclussions: There was an increase in parenting self-efficacy on infant care in mothers who married at early age. It is expected that parents who married at early age could change their behavior and have confidence in parenting.
