Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze interpersonal intelligent of the student by think pair share (TPS) learning model and learning habbit. Various of this research is pre-experimental by one group pretest- posttest control design(Sugiyono,2016). This research was held from February-May 2019, located at SMA(SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar in even semester 2018/2019.Population in this research is all of the student of X class of SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar. Sample taking in this research is using purposive sampling technique. By taking sample of X MIA3 class amount 28 people. Independent variable in this research is Think Pair Share learning models and learning habbit. Dependent variable is Interpersonal intelligent.Data collecting used interpersonal intelligent rubric instrument and learning habbit quesionaire which has been treated by validity and reliability test. Data is analyzed by using parametric statistic by test average difference (Paired sample t-test) and prerequisite test by using normality test. Tabulation of data was done by using SPSS programme of 23.0 version and exell program. The result of hypothesis analysis test showed that there is the significant differency to the student Interpersonal intelligent pre and post learned think pair share model and learning habbit. The result of research showed in all of student interpersonal intelligent is in high category, its mean the student is ability to make good social relation in biology subject learning. Hence it can be concluded that there is increase of student interpersonal itelligent of X MIA3 class of SMA(SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar after learned by think pair share (TPS) and learning habbit.

Abstract

Penggunaan model dan media pembelajaran yang masih kurang variatif dan inovatif, menyebabkan peserta didik menjadi kurang aktif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan proses sains yang dimilikinya. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan model pembelajaran Group Investigation berbasis media herbarium Gymnospermae dan Angiospermae terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil herbarium peserta didik. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Experimental Design dengan rancangan Intact Group Comparison yang dilaksanakan di SMA N 7 Denpasar mulai dari bulan februari sampai maret 2017. Pengambilan sampel secara acak diperoleh kelas X MIPA 4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan dan memberikan skor dengan menggunakan rubrik penilaian keterampilan proses sains dan rubrik penilaian hasil herbarium, yang sebelumnya sudah dilakukan uji validitas konstruk oleh dosen pembimbing. Data dianalisis dengan statistik deskriptif berupa tabel distribusi frekuensi dan histogram, serta inferensial dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U-test. Hasil yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan uji Mann Whitney U-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran GI terhadap keterampilan proses sains (p=<0,05) dan terdapat perbedaan hasil herbarium antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol (p=<0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat pengaruh positif dari penerapan model pembelajaran GI berbasis media herbarium Gymnospermae dan Angiospermae terhadap keterampilan proses sains dan hasil herbarium peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the levels of digital literacy, problem-solving skills, and socio-cultural awareness among prospective biology teachers. A cross-sectional survey method was employed. Data were collected through the distribution of a closed-ended questionnaire on February 10, 2023. The questionnaire used a Likert scale, with each item scored on a range from 1 to 5. The digital literacy questionnaire consisted of 20 items, the problem-solving skills questionnaire comprised 24 items, and the socio-cultural awareness questionnaire included 15 items. The questionnaires were distributed to biology education students from four universities in Bali: Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha, Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar, Universitas PGRI Mahadewa Indonesia, and IKIP Saraswati. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling, based on specific criteria relevant to the research objectives. The research instruments were developed based on the aspects and indicators of 21st-century skills proposed by Greenstein. The collected data were then analyzed descriptively to address the research questions. The findings of the study are as follows: students' digital literacy falls within the intermediate category; their problem-solving skills are at the basic level; and their socio-cultural awareness is also categorized as intermediate. It is necessary to develop alternative learning programs that enhance students' digital literacy, problem-solving abilities, and socio-cultural awareness. One potential approach is project-based learning that directly integrates technology use and addresses real-life issues at both local and global levels.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the diversity of medicinal plants planted as ornamental and shade plants and to determine the plant diversity index on the campus of Universitas Mahasaraswati (UNMAS) Denpasar. Data were collected using an exploration survey and data collection techniques using the cruising technique. The results documented 154 species, 122 genera spread across 54 families. The largest families are Araceae (21), followed by Asparagaceae (12) and Acanthaceae (8). As many as 146 species (94.8%) of 154 species were found to be medicinal plants. The largest species was dominated by Hymenocallis littoralis (Jacq.) Salisb. The shrub level category was the highest (64), followed by herbs (57) and trees (33). The diversity index value of H’ = 5.622, which is included in the high category. The diversity index values ​​at each level include shrubs = 3.52 (high), herbs = 3.383 (high), and trees = 2.759 (medium).

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi sains dan keterampilan komunikasi visual guru serta siswa di SMKS Kesehatan Bali Medika Denpasar melalui pelatihan berbasis teknologi digital. Program dilaksanakan sebagai tindak lanjut hasil analisis kebutuhan yang menunjukkan rendahnya kemampuan peserta dalam memahami teks ilmiah dan memvisualisasikan data. Metode kegiatan meliputi sosialisasi, pemaparan materi interaktif, workshop pembuatan infografis menggunakan Canva dan Piktochart, serta evaluasi melalui pre-test dan post-test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata nilai guru dari 70 menjadi 91 dan siswa dari 65 menjadi 85, yang mencerminkan peningkatan pemahaman konsep ilmiah dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Kegiatan ini efektif memperkuat integrasi literasi sains dengan teknologi digital serta menumbuhkan kesadaran peserta terhadap pentingnya penerapan sains dalam konteks kesehatan lingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between ethnobotanical knowledge and environmental awareness among students at SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar. The study was conducted at SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar. This study is an ex post facto correlational study.  The quantitative research method used was simple random sampling to select respondents through questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and simple linear regression. The results show that the correlation between students’ level of ethnobotanical knowledge and their environmental care attitudes is strong, and the results of the regression analysis show a significance value. This indicates a strong relationship between the level of ethnobotanical knowledge and students' attitudes toward environmental care at SMP PGRI 2 Denpasar.  The results of this study indicate a highly significant correlation between ethnobotanical knowledge and environmental awareness. This suggests that the better students' ethnobotanical knowledge, the greater their environmental awareness.

Abstract

The Ngis Manggis community has ethnobotanical knowledge in utilizing plants from the forest for traditional medicine. Local people have little knowledge of managing forests sustainably. This study aimed to identify plants used for sense disease medicinal by the Ngis Manggis community, including species, family, local names, parts of plants used, processing method, usage method, obtained sources, and the Index of Cultural Significance (ICS). Qualitative method to obtain data on the local names of plants used for the sense disease medicinal. Purposive and Snowball sampling methods were applied to collect key informants through semi-structured interviews and moderate participation. Data analysis was qualitative and quantitative. The results showed that 55 species were distributed in 32 families to treat 17 diseases dominated by Fabaceae (6 species). Most of them were harvested from wild 29 (52.72%). The most widely used part of the plants is the leaf. Crushing is the most widely used preparation method by the community. The greatest number of medicinal uses of Ngis Manggis community is smeared. Based on the results of the ICS analysis, the highest ICS value is Arenga pinnata L. (61).
