Abstract

Pendidikan karakter religius pada tingkat dasar menghadapi tantangan kompleks akibat pengaruh media digital, lemahnya kontrol orang tua, dan kurangnya keteladanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengintegrasikan bimbingan keagamaan berbasis kitab Akhlakul Banin untuk menanamkan nilai karakter religius di MI Darussalam. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dalam rangka Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM), penelitian ini melibatkan pelatihan guru, implementasi pembelajaran, observasi, wawancara, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus. Hasilnya menunjukkan perubahan signifikan pada perilaku siswa, seperti peningkatan kesopanan, disiplin ibadah, dan kesadaran akhlak, terutama melalui pendekatan kisah inspiratif yang relevan dan menyentuh aspek emosional. Guru berperan sebagai teladan dan fasilitator, meskipun terkendala oleh perbedaan pemahaman, keterbatasan waktu, dan minimnya dukungan orang tua. Upaya kolaboratif dan integrasi nilai akhlak dalam pembelajaran tematik berhasil mengatasi kendala tersebut, memperkuat iklim religius di Madrasah.

Abstract

This research intended to describe how students' speaking ability improved through short daily conversations. The research belonged to classroom action research and consisted of two cycles. The setting of the research was in SMAN 1 Kretek, Bantul, Yogyakarta. The participants of this research were 25 students of XI IPA 2. The researcher gathered the data through conducting a pre-test, post-test 1, and post-test 2. In addition, to analyze the pre-test and post-test, the researcher used a descriptive quantitative approach describing the mean and the percentage of student improvement in each cycle. After implementing the research, the researcher found that short daily conversations can improve the student's speaking ability. It was shown from the result of the student's test scores. In each cycle, the student's score improved significantly. The pre-test result was low, with a mean score of 56.4. However, in the second result in the first cycle, the score was higher than the pre-test; the mean score was 66.12. Then, the last post-test in the second cycle was the highest; the mean score was 79.24. The conclusion was that teaching English using short daily conversations can improve students' speaking ability.Keywords: Speaking Skills, Short Daily Conversation, Speaking, Conversation, Action Research   .

Abstract

English has the primary role as a communicationtool in industrial revolution 4.0 because it was aninternational language. In this era, the developments oftechnologies facilitated people around the world tocommunicate through social media, email, website, andothers. Through those communications, they can enhancetheir business, developing their studies, or expanding theirrelations. However, every country has its norms inconversation, so that politeness strategies are the corecomponent in achieving the successfulness ofcommunications. This study was one of qualitative researchwhich primarily focuses on exploring the student'sperceptions on the role of politeness strategies in usingEnglish in online communication. The data was collected bydelivering the questionnaire to the 40 students in SMANegeri 1 Kretek Bantul, Yogyakarta, Indonesia, andinterviews with some of them. The data of this study wereanalyzed using a content analysis approach. The resultsdescribed that the students consider politeness strategies astheir policies during the communications. The implicationsof this study were to help the teachers identify the student'sneed in the development of politeness strategies and toprevent miscommunication during the onlinecommunication process
