Abstract

Perineal tears that are not handled properly can cause infection. Several ways to treat perineal wounds due to childbirth have been widely studied, one of which is by using herbal plants such as red betel leaves which are known to have antiseptic and antibacterial effects. This study aims to analyze the differences in the effectiveness of 15% red betel leaf gel and 10% Povidone Iodine ointment for healing perineal wounds in postpartum mothers. This experimental research design was a posttest only with a control group. The population of this study was all postpartum women who had perineal tears with the sample being postpartum women who had grade 2 perineal tears who met the inclusion criteria totaling 30 people in each group. The difference test was performed using the Mann-Whitney U. The results of the analysis showed that there was a difference in the average number of days required for the second degree perineal wound to heal. Postpartum mothers who were intervened by giving red betel leaf gel 15% faster, namely 5.40 (3-8) days, compared to the group given Povidone Iodine ointment 10%, namely 9.50 (8.40-10.60) days. It was concluded that 15% red betel leaf gel heals perineal wounds faster.Keywords: red betel leaf; povidone iodine; perineal wound ABSTRAK Robekan perineum yang tidak ditangani dengan baik dapat menimbulkan infeksi. Beberapa cara untuk  perawatan luka perineum akibat persalinan telah banyak diteliti, salah satunya dengan menggunakan tanaman herbal seperti daun sirih merah yang diketahui memiliki efek antiseptik dan antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaan efektifitas gel daun sirih merah 15% dan salep Povidon Iodin 10% untuk penyembuhan luka perineum pada ibu postpartum. Rancangan penelitian eksperimental ini adalah posttest only with control group. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu nifas yang mengalami robekan perenium dengan sampel adalah ibu nifas yang mengalami robekan perenium derajat 2 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi berjumlah masing-masing kelompok 30 orang. Uji perbedaan dilakukan menggunakan Mann-Whitney U. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan rerata jumlah hari yang diperlukan untuk penyembuhan luka perineum derajat II. Ibu nifas yang diintervensi dengan pemberian gel daun sirih merah 15% lebih cepat yaitu 5,40 (3-8) hari, dibandingkan dengan kelompok yang diberi salep Povidone Iodine 10% yaitu 9,50 (8,40-10,60) hari. Disimpulkan bahwa gel daun sirih merah 15% lebih cepat menyembuhkan luka perineum.Kata Kunci: daun sirih merah; povidone iodine; luka perineum

Abstract

Kebutuhan kalsium pada ibu menyusui sangat penting untuk menjaga kesehatan tulang dan mendukung produksi ASI. Namun, defisiensi kalsium dan rendahnya konsumsi bahan alami pelancar ASI masih menjadi masalah umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Eggsbos Candy, permen inovasi berbasis bahan alami cangkang telur bebek sebagai sumber kalsium dan daun bangun-bangun (Coleus amboinicus) sebagai laktagogum alami. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE, menghasilkan tiga formula (A, B, C) yang diuji kadar kalsium, cemaran mikroba, dan uji organoleptik. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa formula C (F-C) memiliki kadar kalsium tertinggi sebesar 190,28 mg per butir dan memenuhi standar keamanan mikrobiologis sesuai SNI 3547.2-2008. Uji organoleptik menunjukkan bahwa hanya aspek rasa berbeda nyata (p<0,05), dan formula C3 dengan komposisi 5 g cangkang telur bebek, 40 g daun bangun-bangun, 15 g gelatin, 80 g gula merah, 1,5 g asam sitrat dan 200 mL air merupakan varian paling disukai panelis dari seluruh aspek (rasa, warna, aroma, dan tekstur). Kesimpulannya, Eggsbos Candy merupakan inovasi pangan fungsional berbasis bahan lokal yang aman, tinggi kalsium, dan disukai konsumen, sehingga berpotensi meningkatkan asupan kalsium dan mendukung produksi ASI pada ibu menyusui

Abstract

Based on the Health Profile of Deli Serdang district in 2019 in North Sumatra, early detection examinations were 4.59%, while Indonesia's target achievement was 7.34% and from data on early detection of cervical cancer coverage in Deli Serdang district, 285 positive IVA cases were found. On this basis, the author carries out community service with the aim of providing insight to the Pratama Jannah Clinic, Deli Serdang Regency so that they know about the IVA Test for early detection of cervical cancer and the process of carrying out the IVA Test and can share the knowledge gained with other women in their environment. The methods used in this community service are lecture, question and answer methods and with the help of videos. After carrying out this community service, it was found that there was an increase in the knowledge of women of childbearing age from before it was carried out and after the socialization about the IVA Test using Animation Video at Klink Pratama Jannah, Deli Serdang Regency had increased, the author also made educational aids in the form of animated video material.
