Abstract

Student Affairs at Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology has a lot of information and knowledge that all students need to know. However, this information and knowledge have not been maximally conveyed to students. Student affairs have a scope of work to handle the Student Creativity Program (PKM), Student Organization (Ormawa), scholarships, Student Activity Transcripts (TAK), and lectures. Therefore, one of the efforts to facilitate Student Affairs in conveying various knowledge is a Student Knowledge Management System mobile application. User Experience student KMS mobile application designed for mobile devices that focus on interface design. The development of this application interface uses the Lean UX method. The Lean UX method has four stages: Declare Assumptions, Create an MVP, Run an Experiment, and Feedback and Research. The application design is evaluated using the Enhanced Cognitive Walkthrough (ECW) to produce a prototype of a knowledge management system or Knowledge Management System for IT Telkom Purwokerto student affairs according to the user's wishes. The test results show success in all tasks, so it can be concluded that the application design has achieved a good user experience.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the world of information technology has an impact on the spread of the amount of software. Software maintenance is needed to support the quality of software. Software quality can be measured in terms of product and process.Some examples of the positive impact of improving software quality include benefits, reducing costs incurred for maintenance, and increasing productivity. One way to test the quality of the software is to use the ISO/IEC 9126 testing model by using fourcharacteristic assessments, namely usability, functionality, reliability, and efficiency. Case studies in this paper are web-based software application Social Media Monitoring and Online Media at PT. XYZ. The results of testing web-based software applications, social media, and online media monitoring belonging to PT. XYZ, using the ISO/IEC 9126 testing model get results, for the assessment of usability characteristics scored 61.81%.Assessment of usability characteristics used testing in the form of System Usability Scale (SUS). The characteristic assessment of functionality scored 76.55%. The characteristic assessment of functionality is carried out by software engineers with validation of the overall features. The characteristic assessment of reliability scored 99.14%. Assessment of reliability characteristics is carried out by calculating four variables, namely function, failure, working unit, and error rate. Finally, the characteristic assessment of efficiency scored 66.8%. Assessment of efficiency characteristics is done by performing calculations in the form of feature code, value, total weight grade, and HTTP request.

Abstract

Along with the rapid growing world of technology nowadays, application becomes an important requirement for every human in person. Human becomes dependent on variety of applications, ranging from small scale application for entertaining user to large scale web application for one or multiple businesses work. In this research the application that used is social and online media monitoring at PT. XYZ in Indonesia. Based on this case, a software quality testing is needed so a software can be said worthy and qualified to use, not just limited to mere testing, but also for optimizing the software to create a well maintained application in accordance with software development life cycle. In this paper, WebQEM is used in optimization for web application. There are two kinds of evaluations: basic evaluation and global evaluation. First global evaluation of monitoring social media and online media application gives a score of 70,44%. After evaluation, an improvement is applied to the application according to the criteria from the result of first global evaluation. Second global evaluation gives a value of 77,41%, from the improvement in first global evaluation. This proves that WebQEM method for optimization of monitoring social media and online media application can improve the software quality.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ditujukan untuk memberikan dampak kepada masyarakat terkait aplikasi ilmu pengetahuan dosen kepada masyarakat. Di era digital ini, penggunaan teknologi internet sebagai media online sudah banyak dikembangkan untuk pemanfaatan berbagai sektor, salah satunya pariwisata. Desa Kedungbenda mempunyai beragam potensi wisata, mulai dari susur sungai, petilasan, dan kesenian budaya. Namun, pandemi virus corona membuat tempat wisata ditutup untuk sementara waktu, sehingga masyarakat yang ingin mengunjungi tempat wisata tidak diperbolehkan sementara waktu. Oleh karena itu, ide pembuatan website sistem informasi wisata desa Kedungbenda diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan ini. Website dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Hasil dari website yang dibuat pada alamat https://www.deswitakedungbenda.com, terdapat beberapa fitur yang dapat diakses oleh wisatawan, yaitu galeri tempat wisata, artikel atau berita mengenai tempat wisata, dan peta lokasi menuju tempat wisata. Pada fitur administrator, admin dapat menambah, mengubah, dan menghapus galeri, gambar slideshow, foto 3600, artikel, dan kategori input. Diakhir kegiatan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat, dilakukan survei kepuasan masyarakat. Hasil survei menunjukkan rata-rata 99% masyarakat desa Kedungbenda puas terhadap kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan. Abstract

An essential aspect of planning and management of software design projects is to estimate work time, costs, and human resources. The calculation solution made in this study aims to assist in calculating the estimated time of developing a reptile capture application using the Use Case Point (UCP) method. The UCP method is a software effort estimation method that shows better performance compared to other methods. The result of this research is the risk of software development on the mobile application of 'Tangkap Reptil' has a small chance, can be done in a relatively short time, and does not require a lot of resources.

Abstract

The delay in the absorption of village funds from the central government to the village government is due to the village government's difficulty preparing village development innovation programs. The innovation tradition will grow if the cycle of transformation of knowledge and acceptable practices from one village to another, especially villages with similar conditions and problems, can run smoothly. For the process of exchanging knowledge and experiences between villages to run smoothly, it is necessary to codify best practices in a structured, documented, and disseminated manner. This research aims to design an application that functions as a medium for sharing knowledge about the use of village funds through government innovation narratives. The application is expected to become a reference for villages to carry out innovative practices by conducting replication studies and replicating acceptable practices that other villages have done. Therefore, it is necessary to have a system requirements elicitation method that can explore the village's requirements in sharing knowledge so that the resulting system is of high quality and by the objectives of being developed. There are several Goal-Oriented Requirements Engineering (GORE) methods used, such as Knowledge Acquisition in Automated Specification (KAOS) and requirements engineering based on business processes. In this research, the KAOS method was demonstrated as the elicitation activity of a village innovation system. Then the results were stated in the Goal Tree Model (GTM). Model building begins with discussions with the manager of the village innovation program to produce goals. The goals are then broken down into several sub-goals using the KAOS method. The KAOS method is used for the requirements elicitation process resulting in functional and non-functional requirements. This research is the elicitation of the requirement for the village innovation system so that it can demonstrate the initial steps in determining the requirements of the village innovation system before carrying out the design process and the system creation process. The results of this requirement elicitation can be used further in the software engineering process to produce quality and appropriate village innovation applications.

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengalaman peneliti, banyak pengusaha budi daya tambak udang di Indonesia mengalami bangkrut, hal tersebut disebabkan karena biaya yang besar untuk satu kali cek laboratorium sehingga budi daya tambak udang mengalami gagal panen dikarenakan banyak udang yang terserang penyakit dan mati. Pada penelitian ini dibuat sebuah alat pemantauan kualitas air dari tambak udang vannamei menggunakan metode data logging berdasarkan nilai suhu air dan algoritma ­k-nearest neighbors untuk memprediksi kesehatan udang dan kondisi air tambak udang dari pergerakan air. Perangkat data logger menggunakan mikrokontroler NodeMCU ESP8266, sensor LDR, dan sensor suhu air Dallas DS18B20, kemudian data logger terhubung ke layanan basis data milik Google yaitu Firebase realtime database untuk menyimpan data pemantauan kualitas air. Terdapat layanan web services yang di hosting pada layanan website milik Heroku untuk menjalankan algoritma k-nearest neighbors menggunakan perintah httprequest dari aplikasi Android yang dibangun menggunakan framework Flutter. Aplikasi Flutter Android berisi widget monitoring, detail monitoring dan prediksi dengan  tingkat akurasi yang diberikan sebesar 99.9 % untuk kesehatan udang serta 97.5 % untuk kondisi air.

Abstract

In this work, we model temperature evolution inside a batch type rotary dryer by using the bond-graph method. The evolution model proposed here is mainly developed to predict dried material temperature inside the dryer during drying process. We implement the model in the 20-SIM bond-graph simulator (Controllab Products, the Netherlands) which shows realistic behaviors of the dried material temperature evolution with different combustion scenarios and rotation speeds.

Abstract

Usability is one of the important factors in an application. Village  Innovation Application is a  Knowledge Management System  (KMS)  that provides services to help village managers share innovation management knowledge with other villages.   To that end, the study proposes evaluating the level of useability of applications using the System Usability Scale to see the feasibility of the applications provided for use. The usability scale system has ten statements as an evaluation instrument and three assessment indicators, namely acceptability, grade scale, and adjective rating. Each statement becomes an indicator to see the level of usefulness of the application.  Evaluation of usability Application Innovation village using the System Usability Scale method can be drawn to the conclusion that the village Innovation application is categorized as meeting usability standards evidenced by the value of usability to aspects of acceptability, grade scale, and adjective rating with a final value of 68.3 meaning that the application can already be used directly by village devices

Abstract

Abstract — Based on the prior study, some shrimp ponds went bankrupt due to pond water quality monitoring is still not good. Many shrimps get sick and die for water quality monitoring still relies on laboratory checks and is rarely done because of financial problems. The purpose of this study is to develop a monitoring system of shrimp pond water quality especially for vannamei shrimp using an Internet of Things (IoT)-based device with a data logging method. The system role is to monitor the water condition, record sensor data, and provide water quality status of shrimp ponds based on water movement, turbidity of water, and water temperature. The data logger device uses a microcontroller named NodeMCU ESP8266 and two sensors namely the LDR sensor and the water temperature sensor dallas 18b20. The devices are connected to the internet and send all water quality monitoring data to Google's database service called Firebase. The results of the water quality monitoring can be accessed through an Android-based monitoring application that is built using Flutter framework which contains information.
