Abstract

Potato cutting machines have become tools used in the modern manufacturing industry in the production of various processed potato products. Technological developments also continue in this field, thereby increasing production efficiency and quality. One important thing is its application because it uses an electro-pneumatic system on a potato cutting machine. This system integrates traditional pneumatic technology with advanced electronic control and produces a powerful combination that optimizes the potato cutting process. In this study, we also present a comprehensive review regarding the use of electro-pneumatic systems in potato cutting machines. The application of this electro-pneumatic system to potato cutting machines provides great potential to increase production efficiency and quality. We can see that the cutting process using a pneumatic cylinder based on a programmable logic controller is more efficient in terms of time than manual cutting. Where it only takes 2 seconds at 8 bar pressure.

Abstract

The increasing human population and life dependent on energy causes the planet to lack energy, especially fossil fuels. Renewable energy is energy that comes from a continuous natural process and never runs out, along with the development of the era, new innovations have emerged, especially in renewable energy sources such as hybrid power plants. To determine the effectiveness and suitability of parameters in a Hybrid Power Plant, it is necessary to be equipped with an effective control system and can be monitored from close up or from a distance, therefore a monitoring system based on the internet of things is needed. The results of the tests carried out were charging energy to the battery, the calculated value of the PLTS voltage was 18 V, the battery voltage was 13.01 V while the current produced was 1.05 A. The PZEM004T sensor was simulated with a load of two soldering irons, it was known that the sensor detected a voltage of 226.6 V, a current of 0.26 V, and a power of 59.00 V, the data was sent to the thingspeak platform in 10 seconds.

Abstract

Seiring dengan kemajuan teknologi di segala bidang, maka sumber listrik utama dari PLN sangatlah penting terhadap penyaluran energi listrik bagi layanan publik, mungkin itu daya besar maupun daya kecil. Akan tetapi suplai listrik utama dari PLN tidak selamanya berkesinambungan atau terus-menerus dalam penyalurannya. Suatu saat pasti terjadi pemadaman listrik yang bisa disebabkan oleh gangguan pada sistem pembangkit, maupun gangguan sistem distribusi. Agar suplai listrik bisa dipastikan tetap terjaga, maka tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang sistem automatic transfer switch yang bisa dikontrol dari jarak jauh menggunakan gadged android sehingga memudahkan pengguna untuk memantau maupun mengontrol keluarnya arus listrik. Manfaat dari pembuatan alat dalam Tugas Akhir ini adalah memberikan kemudahan untuk pengoperasian genset secara otomatis serta memberikan kemudahan agar energi listrik tetap berkelanjutan.
