Abstract

In order to increase productivity required synergizing and balancing all components in the work system. The achievement of labor productivity through activity sustainable done at one manufacturing companies who produce capacitor. In the packing process is done manually using bending tools that cause fatigue 90-95% tired on the right foot and right hand, with the average reject 14% and only meet 66% output target. The purpose of this research is make a bending machine to increase the capacity process of packing, so it expected to decrease reject mechanical and indirectly decrease the work load operator. The design of the bending machine is done by testing the T-test statistic (paired T-test) against the mechanical reject by making the machine system semi-automatic with motor and engine control on the machine table design using the average height of the operator seat with the aim that the standard time can be faster, The human workload based on the man machine system may decrease.  The result of bending machine design shows that the standard time after design is increased from 1.52 seconds to 1.02 seconds so the average output increase from 16578 capacitors to 24705 capacitors. The reject mechanical fell significantly from the average total of 2210  to an average total of 446  and the man workload in this study decreased from 25.29 minutes to 6.23 minutes, so the production target could be met.

Abstract

This study examines the minimum effective separation distance between buildings necessary to avert structural damage from building pounding in Padang City, an area particularly vulnerable to seismic events. The study examines 45 structures throughout five districts, classified into three categories according to their height-to-width (H/L) ratio: (0.5–1.0), (1.1–1.5), and (1.51–2.0). Three pairs of ground acceleration records—Imperial Valley-06, Tokachi-Oki Aftershock, and Tokachi-Oki Mainshock—were selected and calibrated to align with the target response spectrum of Padang City using linear time-history analysis. The research assesses structural displacement capacity and drift ratio to ascertain the necessary minimum separation distances. The findings reveal that the minimum separation distance for Category A (H/L: 0.5–1.0), Category B (H/L: 1.1–1.5), and Category C (H/L: 1.51–2.0) spans from 40 cm to 48.4 cm, with a suggested practical separation of 50 cm per building. A separation distance of 1 meter is recommended to reduce the risk of structural collisions during earthquakes. These findings serve as a technical reference for urban planners, engineers, and legislators, facilitating safer building designs, enhanced seismic resilience, and diminished structural damage in earthquake-prone regions.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (K3) is a program created for workers or laborers or companies as a form of prevention of work accidents that may occur to workers in the work environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation and supervision of K3 in the implementation of the ASR Center sports building (GOR) construction project in Kendari City. The study was conducted using a descriptive method with quantitative analysis. While data collection was carried out through field observations and distributing questionnaires to staff and workers. The results of the achievement of the implementation of occupational safety and health (K3) on the grandstand ladder work reached 82%, column repair 84%, steel frame installation 79% and roof installation 84%. From the four applications of occupational safety and health (K3), an average percentage of 82.25% was obtained, the four jobs were categorized as "very good". PT. Aji Konstruksi Utama in carrying out safety patrols or direct supervision is carried out by Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) to supervise the work.

Abstract

The expansion of Jakarta’s suburban areas has intensified residential development near railway lines, including Bekasi City, West Java. High-frequency train operations generate noise levels that may exceed the residential environmental quality standard of 55 dB(A) stipulated by Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment Decree No.48/1996. This study aims to measure noise levels, map their spatial distribution, and propose mitigation strategies. Measurements were conducted using a Sound Level Meter (SLM) at ten sampling points on both sides of the railway, spaced approximately 400 meters apart. Data were collected over two weeks during peak hours, with readings recorded every 5 seconds for 10 minutes at each point. Results indicate average daily noise levels of 60–65 dB(A), with the highest value of 75 dB(A) at approximately 3 meters from the track and the lowest value of 52 dB(A) beyond 15 meters. Noise mapping using Surfer 15.0 and ArcGIS 10.2 shows critical zones >70 dB(A) within a 0–5 meter radius, while zones of 60–70 dB(A) dominate 5–10 meters. Levels below 55 dB(A) occur only beyond 15 meters and are rare due to high housing density. Recommended mitigation includes natural barriers such as dense vegetation, artificial barriers such as acoustic panels, and enforcing a minimum 20-meter setback for new housing development. This study underscores the importance of noise mapping as a foundation for spatial planning and residential environmental protection.
