Abstract

Crime often occurs. The crime rate in an area will be different from that of other areas according to the characteristics of the area. The clustering carried out in this study is based on the number of reported crime rates. This study aims to cluster crime-prone areas in Yogyakarta City so that they can identify areas to seek to handle them more effectively. The method of this research is ex post facto, which is a quantitative exploratory descriptive. Data was collected through the crime documentation of Yogyakarta City, which has 15 regional units and with crime rates from 2016 to 2020. Clustering is carried out by cluster analysis of the average linkage hierarchy method because the variables are less than 100, so multi-storey clusters are more appropriately used and return to the goal, namely, to identify crime-prone areas. The research results on the crime rate in Yogyakarta City based on data in each reported police unit for five years, namely from 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, show that the unit area is divided into 3 clusters consisting of clusters 1, 2, and 3. Each cluster has members, namely Cluster 1, Yogyakarta City Resort. Cluster 2 consists of Gondomanan, Ngampilan, Gedongtengen, Jetis, Tegalrejo, Wirobrajan, Kraton, Mantrijeron, Mergangsan, Kotagede, Danurajan and Pakualam. Cluster 3 consists of Umbulharjo and Gondokusuman. So, cluster 1, according to the total number of 5 years, is indeed the most, but for clusters 2 and 3, it is different, so in this clustering, the underlying is the similarity between the variables owned. Crime in the city is often encountered due to the heterogeneity of the community from various fields, so practical efforts must be made to deal with it.

Qualitative methods with phenomenology have informants from the western, central, and eastern parts of Indonesia. Data were collected using observation, Google Forms, and interviews for the selected. It uses a sampling technique of 39 informants. The validity of the research used is source triangulation in the next stage, namely analyzing data with Milles & Huberman interactive analysis. Data analysis carried out is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Content often used is entertainment and educational content, while content that can influence behavior is entertainment, education, health, food and cuisine, religious, beauty, motivational, art, and game content. Abstract

Increasingly sophisticated and modern technology provides convenience to humans in various fields. Many benefits can be received, although there is still a side to the problem regarding technological developments. This also happens in the field of Education which has utilized technology today. Blended learning with a blended method is an innovation in Education that is associated with the critical thinking ability of school students at the primary, secondary and higher education levels. This research is quantitative with a meta-analysis design using 24 ar-ticle studies with predetermined criteria with secondary data sources sourced from Google Scholar, Research Gate and Science Direct with the years 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. The article is determined using mean aggregates. The existence of coding, according to the purpose, of this article focused on N, M, and SD data. The data processing is assisted by Microsoft Excel and JASP software. This is done to estimate aggregates, project forest plots, test heterogeneity, and investigate publication bias. The analysis found that there is accuracy in using a random effect model aggregate with a high heterogeneity effect size and no prob-lems in publication, so following the research objective the blended learning model is effective in developing critical thinking skills in learning so that technology in education has a positive impactKeywords: Blended learning, critical thinking, meta-analysis, effective

Abstract

This research aims to assess the level of disaster vulnerability in the Wonolelo tourist village area using spatial analysis with an overlay method of several factors causing disaster vulnerability. The location of Wonolelo Village on the slopes of Mount Merapi with a rather steep to steep topography makes Wonolelo Village very vulnerable to landslides and the eruption of Mount Merapi. The research results show that Wonolelo Village has a high vulnerability to volcanic disasters (63.71%) and medium vulnerability to landslides (99.12%). The findings of this research can be used to inform disaster mitigation policies and strategies in Wonolelo Village and other vulnerable areas.

Abstract

Social constructions in society continue to view smoking as an inappropriate behavior for women, producing stigma that limits female smokers’ self-expression. This study aims to analyze how women smokers in Sleman Regency construct and negotiate their self-image in the face of such social pressures. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations with ten informants selected through purposive and snowball sampling techniques. Data analysis employed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal that despite the stigma, informants exhibit strong confidence and maintain a positive self-image through their appearance and demeanor. However, in certain social settings, they adopt a “front stage” strategy to conform to societal expectations and avoid symbolic sanctions. This study demonstrates that women’s smoking practices are not merely personal choices, but also a site of identity negotiation within normative social spaces.
