Abstract

Public interest in learning Arabic continues to increase, as evidenced by the increasing number of formal and non-formal educational institutions that include Arabic in the curriculum taught to students. The increasing public interest in Arabic aligns with the growing awareness that Arabic is a language. By studying the Arabic language, it is hoped that students will be able to understand the Koran well. However, the amount of public interest differs from providing adequate teaching materials and is far from attractive for children. So learning Arabic seems superficial and far from the needs of students and the expectations of society. The formulation of the problems in this study are (1) What are the components of developing a Koran-based Arabic module for children who memorize the Koran at SDIT Harapan Umat and Rumah Tahfidz al-Kifach Jember, (2) What is the validity of the Koran-based Arabic module for children? Children, who memorize the Koran at SDIT Harapan Umat and Tahfidz al-Kifach Jember House? (3) how effective and attractive is the Arabic language module based on the Koran for children who memorize the Koran at SDIT Harapan Umat and Rumah Tahfidz al-Kifach Jember? The aims of this study were (1) to produce a valid, effective and interesting Koran-based Arabic language learning module for children at Tahfidz al-Kifach House. This type of research is research and development (R&D) by adapting the Borg, and Gall (1983) development model, namely (1) needs analysis, (2) product development, (3) preparation of teaching material prototypes, (4) Trials, (5 ) product revisions, and (6) final results. They collected data using interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. This study results in a "Quran-based Arabic language module for children who memorize the Koran." The results of the material expert trials obtained an average percentage of 89% with good qualifications. Abstract

Tembang writers typically employ words that are not literal but rather words have figurative meanings. One of those is metaphor. This study aims to analyze metaphors in Nyidham Sari songs and reveal their role in conveying cultural values and moral messages in language learning, as well as understand how traditional Javanese songs can serve as an educational tool to transmit knowledge and cultural values to contemporary learners. The data of the research are metaphors within the Nyidham Sari tembang. To analyse the data the researcher identified metaphors to understand the metaphor meaning and the function in the context of the tembang. This study employs the basic theory of the Conceptual Metaphor by Lakoff and Johnson. This study shows that Nyidham Sari tembang uses natural metaphors, journey metaphors, and cultural value metaphors to describe abstract concepts and convey deep messages. The research results indicate that metaphors in Nyidham Sari tembang play an important role in conveying cultural values and moral messages. The result of this study also has implication on language teaching, namely, teaching metaphor, interpretation skill development, teaching material, and critical thinking development. Finally, this study is expected to inspire other researchers who interest to explore metaphors in different cultural.

Abstract

This classroom action research aimed to improve the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Tondano (Public Middle School) in understanding the information of a descriptive text. This research was conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were 28 students of class VII-A. The results showed that implementing the Quick on the Draw strategy in learning to understand descriptive text information created a learning atmosphere that excites students. It allows all students to play active roles during the learning as the nine steps of Quick on the Draw place students as the subject. Students use their potentials to think independently, solve problems jointly, and obtain additional information not provided by the teachers. The final test results showed that from 28 students, 27 students (96.42%) scored above 75, and 1 student (3.58%) below the standard. The ability of students to understand classical descriptive text information was 83, beyond the Minimum Learning Mastery Standard.

Abstract

تعليم الإنشاء درس من دروس اللغة العربية وهو يلعب دورا مهما في تنمية مهارة اللغة العربية لاسيما في مهارة الكتابة ، واستراتيجية التعليم نشاط مختار اختاره المعلم لطلابه وهي أداة محتاجة في التعليم ، كما تنال أهداف التعليم المرادة فعالا . كذلك في تعليم الإنشاء ، على المعلم اختيار الاستراتيجية الجيدة لنجاح تعليمه . انطلاقا من خلفية البحث السابقة ،إشكالية البحث حيث يكون فيها المسألة الرئيسية ، وهي : كيف استخدام استراتيجية تعليم الإنشاء؟ والمسألة الفرعية وهي:ما مشکلات استخدام استراتيجية في تعليم الإنشاء؟ أما أهداف هذا البحث : لمعرفة كيفية استخدام استراتيجية تعليم الإنشاء و لمعرفة مشكلات استخدام استراتيجية تعليم الإنشاء. استخدم الباحثان المدخل الكيفي ونوع دراسة الحالة في هذا البحث . أما طريقة جمع البيانات التي استخدمتها الباحثانة هي الملاحظة والمقابلة والوثائقية . ثم طريقة تحليل البيانات بالتحليل التفاعلي لمالس وهوبرمان واختبار صحتها بتثليث المصادر وتثليث أدوات البحث . وأما النتائج التي حصلت عليها الباحثان من سؤالين سابقين هي : قد استخدمت معلمة الإنشاء في استراتيجية إنشاء الجملة من المفردة الجديدة وإنشاء القصة في الفئات والإنشاء على شكل المجلة الحائطية والتصويرية في تعليم الإنشاء . والمشكلات في استخدام استراتيجية تعليم الإنشاء تنقسم إلى ثلاث نواحي ؛ وهي المادة غير المخصوصة لتعليم الإنشاء، والمعلمة قد تغيب في التعليم، والطالبات منهن من فكرتها ضعيفة وإتقان مفرداتها قليل وفهم قواعدها ضعيف. Teaching al-Insyā’ (composition) is one of the lessons in Arabic language instruction and plays an important role in developing Arabic language skills, especially writing skills. A teaching strategy is a deliberate activity chosen by the teacher for the students and serves as an essential tool in the teaching process to achieve the intended educational objectives. Likewise, in teaching composition, the teacher must choose an effective strategy to ensure the success of the instruction. Based on the research background, the main problem of this study is: How is the strategy of teaching composition used? The sub-problem is: What are the difficulties in using strategies in teaching composition? The objectives of this study are to determine how the teaching strategy for composition is applied and to identify the problems encountered in using such strategies. The researchers used a qualitative approach with the case study method. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model, and the validity of the data was tested through source triangulation and method triangulation. The results obtained from the two research questions indicate that the composition teacher employed several strategies: sentence construction using new vocabulary, story creation in class groups, and wall magazine and visual composition activities in teaching composition. The problems encountered in implementing these strategies fall into three main areas: (1) teaching materials not specifically designed for composition instruction, (2) teacher’s occasional absence during lessons, and (3) students’ weak understanding of ideas, limited vocabulary mastery, and poor grasp of grammar.

Abstract

إنَّ طرائق التدريس لا تقتصر على تيسير عملية التعلّم فحسب، بل تهدف أيضًا إلى بناء دافعية التعلّم وإيجاد أجواء من المتعة والمرح والراحة لدى الطالبات، وهناك العديد من الطرائق التي يمكن للمعلم استخدامها، ومنها طريقة التعليم بالأقران التي تُسهم في زيادة دافعية التعلّم لدى الطالبات ولا سيما في دروس العلوم الاجتماعية، ويُعدّ التعليم بالأقران إحدى طرائق التدريس النشطة القائمة على التعلّم والتي تتيح للطالبات فرصًا للتعلّم بصورة جيدة وفي الوقت نفسه تجعلهنّ مرجعًا أو مصدرًا للتعلّم بالنسبة للآخرين. وتهدف هذه الدراسة إلى وصف خطوات تعليم مهارة القراءة من خلال المعلّمات الأقران في المدرسة المتوسطة الإسلامية فتح الله بسومبركرانغ – غندينغ – بروبولنغو للعام الدراسي 2022–2023م، وكذلك بيان العوامل الداعمة والمعيقة لعملية تعليم مهارة القراءة من خلال المعلّمات الأقران في المدرسة نفسها. ويندرج هذا البحث ضمن البحوث النوعية باستخدام المنهج الوصفي النوعي، وقد استخدمت الباحثة في جمع البيانات أساليب الملاحظة والمقابلات والوثائق، وهو بحث وصفي ينتج بيانات وصفية من الأشخاص الذين تمّت ملاحظتهم، وتشمل تقنيات تحليل البيانات جمع البيانات وتكثيفها وعرضها واستخلاص النتائج، مع التحقق من صحتها باستخدام التثليث المنهجي وتثليث المصادر. وقد خلصت الدراسة إلى أن خطوات تنفيذ طريقة التعليم بالأقران تتضمن شرح الخطوات وتوضيح الأهداف وتنفيذ الأنشطة وتقديم الخلاصة، أما العوامل الداعمة فتشمل التفاعل بين المعلم والطالبات واهتماماتهنّ وشعورهنّ بالراحة، في حين تتمثل العوامل المعيقة في نقص استعداد المعلم وظروف الطالبات داخل الصف وعدم كفاية البنية التحتية.   Teaching methods are not only to facilitate the learning process, but also to build learning motivation, joy, fun, and comfort for female students as well. There are many methods that can be used by teachers including the peer tutor method to increase the learning motivation of female students, especially in social science lessons. Peer tutoring is one of the learning-based active teaching methods that provides opportunities and encourages female students to learn something good, and at the same time Time becomes a reference person for others. The objectives of this research are: 1) To describe the steps for teaching reading skills through peer teachers at the Islamic Middle School, Fatahillah Sumberkerang Gending Probolinggo, for the academic year 2022-2023 AD. 2) Describe the factors supporting and hindering the teaching of reading skills through peer teachers at the Fatahillah Islamic Middle School Somberkerang Gending Probolinggo for the academic year 2022-2023 AD. The research conducted by the author is embedded in qualitative research using a descriptive qualitative approach. In the process of collecting data, the author used observation, interviews, and documentation methods. The type of this research is descriptive research that produces descriptive data from people who have been observed. Data collection techniques are observation, documentation and interview. The data analysis technique in this research is data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity techniques using triangulation and source triangulation. The results of this study are: 1) The steps for implementing the peer teacher teaching method in the Fatahillah Islamic Middle School Somberkerang Gending Probolinggo include: delivering the steps and objectives for delivering the conclusions 2) The factors supporting the implementation of the peer teacher method include the interaction between teachers and students, the students’ interests, and the students’ comfort. Factors inhibiting the implementation of the peer tutor method include lack of teacher preparation, student conditions in the classroom, and inadequate infrastructure

Abstract

Spinning wheel learning media is a learning media in the form of a spinning wheel containing questions that combines the ability to answer questions with the insights that students already have. As a result of personal interviews with Arabic teachers, researchers obtained academic information that there are still many students who have difficulty learning Arabic, especially in qawaid nahwu. The researcher took the title of this study because of the problems that occur among students who lack enthusiasm in learning nahwu so that learning outcomes are not optimal. Therefore, researchers consider that spinning wheel learning media is very suitable for this problem. The purpose of this study are: To determine the effectiveness of Spinning Wheel learning media in improving nahwu learning outcomes. Researchers use quantitative research approaches and types of experimental research, as well as data collection methods through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis method using t-test code. The results of this research mean the application of spinning wheel learning media to improve learning outcomes nahwu there are differences in the learning outcomes of the control group and the experimental group. Abstract

This study explores the field of Arabic morphology by examining the structural and semantic dimensions of word formation. Morphology, as a core component of Arabic linguistics, investigates the patterns and transformations of words, focusing on roots, weights, and derivational structures. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical methodology, utilizing classical texts such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and Arabic literature, alongside modern linguistic corpora and natural language processing (NLP) tools. The findings reveal that Arabic morphology exhibits a high degree of derivational flexibility, with consistent semantic functions linked to morphological patterns. The study highlights the effectiveness of digital tools in identifying complex morphological structures and underscores the need for standardized morphological databases to support computational linguistics applications. Additionally, it uncovers gaps in educational practices and student awareness of morphological nuances. By integrating traditional linguistic theories with modern computational approaches, the research proposes a unified analytical framework for both pedagogical and technological advancement. It concludes that Arabic morphology remains essential not only for linguistic analysis but also for modern applications in education, artificial intelligence, and digital content development.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of bullying and moral degradation among students necessitates schools to strengthen character education through effective approaches. This study aims to analyze student perceptions of Islamic Spiritual extracurricular activities (Rohis) and their contribution to character building at SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and open-ended questionnaires administered to Rohis members and supervising teachers. The findings reveal an interesting dynamic in perception: students tend to interpret Rohis through operational tasks (such as maintaining mosque order and arranging prayer rows), while teachers emphasize the aspect of moral cultivation. Nevertheless, both perspectives converge on the conclusion that structured Rohis activities (daily, weekly, and annual) are effective in shaping student character. The character values developed include religious discipline, responsibility, politeness, and self-confidence. The study concludes that Rohis serves not merely as a gathering place but as a crucial medium for habituation in internalizing Islamic values and preventing deviant behavior within the school environment.   Keywords: Rohis, Character Education, Student Perception, Religious Character, SMP Negeri 26 Surabaya.

Abstract

This study seeks to explore the problem of the dichotomy of science and its solution in Islamic Higher Education. which is analyzed in the perspective of education policy regarding higher education regulations by using the content analysis method in the study of library research. The issue of the dichotomy of science is actually a classic issue of the dark legacy of the past colonialism which Indonesia's founding fathers have been fighting for a long time. This real effort is proven by the issuance of a joint decree initiated by the Minister of Religion, KH. Wahid Hasyim and the Minister of Education of the Republic of Indonesia regarding the implementation of religious teaching in state educational institutions which are stipulated through the Regulation of the Minister of Religion No. 3 August 11, 1950. In the study of Islamic education, there is a classification (taqsîm) of knowledge, the first is al-'ulum al-diniyyah (religious sciences) which is called religious science and the second is general science or general sciences. In essence, Islam has never recognized the dichotomy of science (tafriqh), Islam only recognizes classification (taqsîm) based on the sequence and stages of learning, starting from fardlu 'ain and fardlu kifayah. The scholars and figures have formulated solutions starting from the regulatory aspect as stated in the joint regulation of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Education, several other strengthening regulations through the 2003 National Education System formulation and the Higher Education Regulation, or in the form of ideas and ideas such as the tree of knowledge scheme, integration, integration. -interconnection and Naquib Al-Attas' ideal idea of ​​Islamization.
