Abstract

The grounding system at the Singkarak Hydroelectric Power Plant (PLTA) uses the Grid Grounding system. In this study, we re-checked the grounding value at the Travo Auxilary Building control PLTA Singkarang, where the existing results during commissioning during the initial installation of the Travo Auxilary grounding system obtained a value of 1.22 Ohm. While the results of measurements again to carry out the feasibility of the grounding value on the Auxilary building control transformer are obtained the average value of measurements carried out with the ear tester brand Koriyutsu 4106 with a variable auxiliary electrode distance of 5 meters, 10 meters obtained a grounding value on tarvo 1 Auxilary Building 1 of 1.2 Ohm and also on transformer 2 Auxilary building control obtained a grounding value of 1.2 Ohm while the calculation results obtained a grounding value by calculating the Grid method obtained a grounding value of 0.26 Ohm. So from the results of measurements and calculations, a difference of 0.94 Ohm is obtained. From the measurement results and also the calculations, the grounding of the auxiliary building control transformer is still in very proper condition according to SPLN T5.012. year 2020 and PUIL 2011.

Abstract

This research aims to design an off-grid PLTS system for garden lighting based on IoT that is efficient and effective. This system will use IoT technology to control garden lights automatically based on light levels and time. This Off-Grid PLTS system will be designed based on the energy needs of garden lighting, solar panel and battery capacity, as well as a lighting control system. The results of research on solar panels tested for three days at 06:00 to 18:00 from the results of the first day of research obtained when the weather conditions were clear, the light level was obtained, namely 74000 lux with the power obtained 25.78 watts when charging the battery and when it rains, you get a light level of 800 lux with a charging power of 1.78 watts. From this it can be concluded that the effect of light intensity and weather on solar panels has an effect on charging the garden lamp battery. From the research results, charging the garden lamp battery with 12 V 35 Ah, the charging time is 21 hours 43 minutes with an average charging current of 1.92 A and battery discharge is obtained from research on the state of the automatic light, the battery discharge time is 19 hours 25 minutes with an average current 1.41A average. Bright light battery discharge time 18 hours 2 minutes with an average current of 1.55A.

Abstract

The DIV study program is a new study program so there are several courses that require practical equipment that supports the achievement of good learning of power plant systems, the current condition of practical equipment is still lacking and there are some that do not meet practical needs, so this research will create a power plant trainer tool Solar (PLTS) which functions as a learning medium in the integrated generator laboratory in the Electrical Installation Engineering Technology DIV study program. The aim of this research is to improve students' understanding of Solar Cell Power Plants, both installation methods and the working principles of supporting components both with On Grid systems and Off Grid systems. In making this trainer, it was carried out by assembling and making a trainer stand with a welding system and the mid-trainel was made using acrylic to make it easier to assemble the main components of the PLTS system. With this trainer tool, it will be very easy for students to design PLTS systems that will be used according to the energy needs used by customers. so that the installation of PLTS is in accordance with the required requirements, and also with this tool it is able to produce students' skills in assembling and installing PLTS correctly, both with On Grid Systems and Off Grid Systems, and students are able to optimize the placement of the installation position on the Solar Panel Module so that they are able to optimize the lighting received by the solar panels is good.

Abstract

The more electric vehicles emerge, the more electricity demand will increase in each region. This will encourage electricity providers to increase the number or capacity of generators. The construction of a new power plant requires load forecasting to determine how much capacity the plant will build. This study aims to predict the electrical load in Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatra until 2031 using linear regression analysis and time series. Forecasting is done on each sector of PLN customers. Forecasting is done based on the PLN customer sector. The forecasting sectors are the household, business, social and government sectors. The four test criteria were carried out are namely the coefficient of determination test (R2), the F test, the T test and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The forecasting results show that in 2031 the electricity load for the household sector is 120.1 MW, the business sector is 5.7 MW, the social sector is 56.9 MW and the government is 9.5 MW.

Abstract

This article discusses the performance analysis of solar power plants for public facilities reviewed from a techno-economic perspective using the Homer application. The research location in this article is the public facility of Surau Nur Jannah in the Puncak Labuang Limau Manis Tourism Area, Padang City. Based on field visits, the community conveyed the limited resources related to the development of the tourism area, one of which is the availability of electrical energy. Based on the problems conveyed by the community, Padang State Polytechnic through the Department of Electrical Engineering provides a solution to the problem of limited electrical energy sources, by offering the concept of Renewable Energy. The initial stage of providing electrical energy sources is to build an Off-Grid Solar Power Plant with a capacity of 240 WP. In order to support the construction of the Solar Power Plant at the specified location, it is necessary to conduct a performance and economic analysis of the development. This location has a fairly large potential for solar resources, on average in one year this place receives solar radiation of 4.91 kWh/m3/Day. The most optimal configuration from the simulation results is a combined system, two units of 1 kW Generic Photovoltaic, Converter, Storage / Battery. The production of electrical energy with this configuration obtains 39.6 kWh/year of electricity with a total consumption in one year of 29.2 kWh/year. The results of the analysis of the power plant's performance from a techno-economic aspect provide positive results, with a Cost Of Energy (COE) of Rp. 1,095.34/kWh. Abstract

Community service program for lecturers in the Department of Electrical Engineering, in order to fulfill the Tridharma of the Padang State Polytechnic College (PNP) for the 2024 fiscal year. The activity carried out is the installation of an Off Grid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) at Surau Nur Jannah in the Puncak Labuang tourist area Sweet Limau Padang City. Based on the Limau Manis sub-district planning analysis document for the next five years, one of the potentials that will be developed to improve the community's economy is to make the Puncak Labuang area a glamping/camping ground tourism area, farming education with an environmentally friendly concept. Currently, the development of this tourist area is carried out independently by the community by working together, such as building a prayer room. Based on the results of field visits and meetings between the PNP thematic service team and the community, on that occasion the community expressed complaints about limited human resources related to the development of the Puncak Labuang tourist area. Some of the issues raised include graphic design, spatial planning, governance, the need for clean water and the availability of electrical energy. PNP, through its community service activities, helps find solutions to solve problems in the Puncak Labuang tourist area by involving all departments in the PNP so that the Puncak Labuang tourist area can be known and visited by tourists.
