Abstract

This paper describes the use of Scribe Video as a Media in Learning Arabic to Improve Student Learning Motivation. The problem of education and teaching is a fairly complex problem where there are many factors that influence it. One of these factors is the teacher. The teacher is a component of teaching that plays an important and primary role, because the success of the learning process is largely determined by the teacher's factor. The teacher's task is to convey the subject matter to students through communication interactions in the learning process that they do. The success of the teacher in delivering the material is very dependent on the smooth interaction between the teacher and the students. This study uses development research methods in education or in English development research, a process in developing and validating educational products. The purpose of this research is to develop Arabic learning media using software sparkol (video scribe) in increasing student learning motivation. This research is a research and development focusing on software sparkol (video scribe). Videoscribe is a software (software) for automatically creating whiteboard animation (whiteboard animation). Videoscribe was launched in 2012 by sparkol company United Kingdom (UK) in the UK. Videoscribe is developed by Adobe Flash and Flash Video. Videoscribe is a form of video media with a blackboard concept that uses hand drawings and as if it were drawing or writing on the board. The concept of videoscribe is usually used as a video presentation, promotion, learning, and so on.

Abstract

Background: In the educational process, learning and teaching activities are the most basic activities. This means that whether or not the achievement of educational goals is successful depends on how the teaching and learning process is designed and carried out professionally. The process of learning Arabic requires an educator to use a variety of strategies. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out how to increase Maharah al-Kalam using the Al-Khibrah Al-Mutsirah  strategy, and what obstacles and solutions exist in increasing Maharah al-Kalam in students. Method: The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research. Results and Discussion: The results of this study indicate that the Al-Khibrah Al-Mutsirah  Strategy can increase the Maharah al-Kalam for Class X MA Aliyah Luqman Al-Hakim students. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the value of completeness in cycle 1 reaching 36%. Furthermore, in Cycle 2 it reaches 70% so the number of completeness reaches cycle 2 reaches 90%. Conclusions and Implications: The Khibrah Mutsirah strategy could improve students' Maharah al-Kalam abilities. This is based on the results of the Post-test in Cycle 2 that there is an increase in Kalam in Arabic. Where the number of students who have special value categories, namely 2 students (14.28 %) ranges in the value of 90-100, there are 9 students (64.28%) in the good grade category or ranges from 75-89 grades, and 3 students (21.42%) have sufficient category or range from 60-74. While students have low-value categories, and very low scores are no longer available (0%). The implications for Arabic language learning from the results of this study are the importance of selecting and implementing the appropriate learning strategies, especially in improving students' speaking skills, as well as the need for further studies to enrich the references in the field of Arabic language learning.

Abstract

Background: A language is a communication tool every person uses to express their desires. However, few students who learn Arabic find it challenging to speak the daily language with the correct uslub Objective: This study aims to develop the Arabic language based on Augmented Reality to improve the ability to express with the correct phrasing and diverse language styles. Method: This study used the RnD method with the ADDIE model. The research location is at the IAIN Sultan Amai Gorontalo Language Development Center. The population is 100 students, and the sample is 30 students. The data collection procedure is done by observation, interview, lift and test. Data analysis techniques are carried out with T-tests, and presentations are carried out with Likert scales. Results and Discussion: This study produced several recommendations that the basis of Augmented Reality can improve students' ability to express Arabic with the correct uslub Conclusion and Implication: This study concluded that students' ability to express themselves with the Arabic language needs to be accompanied, trained and continue to be familiarized with campus life so that daily expressions become spontaneous habits. The implications of this study suggest that learning Arabic using standard terms can be helped by augmented reality as a technology that combines digital elements, such as images, sounds, and virtual objects, with user needs.

Abstract

Background: Muhadasah can be interpreted as how students express ideas in Arabic through conversation, where the conversation is carried out between students and teachers or between students and other students. However, the muhadasah learning process is generally less innovative and fun. Teachers often use the lecture method by displaying vocabulary and asking students to recite and memorize it. In learning muhadasah, it is best to use interesting media that motivate students to be active or make it easier for them to learn muhadasah.  Purpose: It aims to develop a short film–based muhadasah learning media, to know the feasibility of these media and to find out the response of LHI IT Junior High School students to these learning media. Method: This type of research is development research. The development of short film-based muhadasah learning media is carried out through several stages, namely 1) finding potentials and problems at the time of learning observation and interviews, 2) spreading needs analysis questionnaires, 3) designing learning media product, 4) asking for material expert responses, 5) revising products based on expert responses, 6) product trials in the classroom. Results and Discussion: The research results in muhadasah learning media products based on short films at SMP IT LHI Yogyakarta. The sampling and samples were determined from 30 students participating in muhadasah learning and one Arabic language teacher.  Conclusions and Implications: It can be concluded that short film-based muhadasah learning media is very suitable for use. Based on an expert assessment of learning media, a feasibility score from a material expert was obtained at 4.8 with an SB category ( excellent). At the same time, the feasibility score from the design expert was 4.7 with the SB category (outstanding). Students' response to short film-based muhadasah learning media products was very feasible, with an average score of 4.27 on the material aspect and a 4.3 on the design aspect.

Abstract

Background: This research was conducted due to interest in the learning of the Arabic language at the An-Najah student Islamic boarding school in Purwokerto, especially in the Foreign Language complex called the An-Najah Arabic Javanese English Community (AArJEC). There, the students appeared happy to learn because of the teacher's creativity in teaching, which helped them understand the Arabic language easily. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to describe the learning models of mahārah al-istimā' and mahārah al-kalām at the An-Najah Student Islamic Boarding School in Purwokerto. Method: This research employs a descriptive qualitative research approach to investigate the Learning Model of mahārah al-istimā' (listening skills) and mahārah al-kalām (speaking skills), with data sources obtained from students at the An-Najah Islamic Boarding School in Purwokerto. The data collection process involved interviews, participatory observation, and documentary study, with data analysis techniques including data reduction, data presentation, and verification. Results and Discussion: The research findings show that the learning models used for mahārah al-istimā' were the niteni (observing) model and the translation model. As for the Mahārah al-kalām learning models, they included the free conversation model as well as language activity models such as khitabah (public speaking), theatre, and Arabic discussion forums. Conclusions and Implications: The learning of mahārah al-istimā' and al-Kalam at the An-Najah Islamic Boarding School utilizes the Niteni and Translation models, which combine active listening, vocabulary acquisition, and contextual understanding. These findings can be considered in the development of Arabic language curriculum and teaching methodologies.
