Abstract

Lot Sizing is the process of determining the optimal number of product orders for each period by considering several factors, including demand uncertainty, fixed costs, quantity discounts and holding costs, with the aim of minimizing total costs. Evolutionary Algorithm (EA) is a metaheuristic that can be applied to various optimization problems, including Lot Sizing. Solver is an Excel Add-In for solving optimization problems. With the ability of Evolutionary Algorithm to tackle Lot Sizing and the Solver which is capable of running Evolutionary Algorithm, it can be concluded that solving Lot Sizing can be done using the Solver. For the case example in this research, Lot Sizing produced from the Evolutionary Algorithm and Solver requires a total cost of 62.090 Rubles.

Abstract

Capacitated Vehicle Routing Problem (CVRP) is one of the most popular VRP variants. Nearest Neighbour (NN) is a very simple and very easy heuristic. The basic concept of Nearest Neighbour is to choose the closest point that has never been visited. Russian CVRP Instances created by the author based on Russian history and places in Russia. The total route length for each CVRP Instance is AK-47-CVRP (60857 km), Gagarin-108-CVRP (75920 km), Mendeleev-101-CVRP (116248 km), Petersburg-182-CVRP (2713 km), Popov-250-CVRP (164974 km), Russia-10-Nodes-CVRP (15911 km), Russia-20-Nodes-CVRP (21480 km), Siege-of-Leningrad-872-CVRP (11012 km), World-Cup-Stadium-12-CVRP (10793 km) and Yashin-270-CVRP (105616 km).

Abstract

One important thing in conducting statistical analysis is the normality test. The purpose of the normality test is to determine whether the data to be used in the research follows a normal distribution or does not follow a normal distribution. One of the normality tests is the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test. Microsoft Excel is equipped with Statistical Function. Thus the Kolmogorov-Smirnov Normality Test can be done with the help of Microsoft Excel. An example of a case in the form of bull mass data with a sample size of 90 has passed the normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov method, the results of which are that the data is normally distributed.

Abstract

PT XYZ is a manufacturing company that produces food and drinks by providing quality products that are halal, high quality and safe for consumption by the public. In producing products, companies must provide several adequate facilities to support production activities, one of which is warehouse facilities. Currently, warehouses where finished food products are stored are stored randomly or placed in empty areas without paying attention to product entry and exit activities. This condition causes picking activities to take a long time and makes stock monitoring difficult. The aim of this research is to produce an appropriate goods storage design so that it can increase warehouse effectiveness. This research uses a special storage method. Where a special storage policy or method is permanently placed on each item. The number of product storage locations must meet the maximum storage space requirements and a simulation is carried out using FlexSim software. The research results show that designing goods storage using the dedicated storage method results in a reduction in the distance traveled for the collection process reaching 52%.

Abstract

PT Sinarmar Distribusi distributes its products to all Distribution Center (DC) every day. Currently PT Sinarmas Distribution Nusantara uses a predetermined route every day using Colt Diesel Double vehicles with maximum transport capacity of 500 cartons.   Currently the number of products carried by each vehicle never reaches its maximum carrying capacity. PT Sinarmas Distribusi Nusantara wants vehicle transport capacity to be used optimally. This route problem at PT Sinarmas Distribusi Nusantara can be defined as Split Delivery Vehicle Routing Problem (SDVRP). Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) is a metaheuristic that can be used to solve SDVRP. By using ACO the resulting route is always shorter than the current route and the number of vehicles used is smaller.
